I've been coming here for over a year because I live down the street and a bunch of times (10-12pm in the morning!) they just close the doors to avoid having customers place orders. Other times I literally had to leave because they don't come up to the register to avoid receiving new orders. Other times when there is someone at the register, the first thing they say is a long list of stuff they are out of (again to discourage you from placing an order). Very rarely do I ever leave a review but I had to for this one. I placed a mobile order for a nugget meal with fries, wedges, a drink, and the potato poppers. The store was out of nuggets, wedges, fries, and tenders and could not complete a refund or exchange in store. I had to call the number they provided and talk to their customer service team in order for them to process a refund. Took 2 minutes to get a greeting. When I said hello? I was greeted with thank you for choosing kfc. Give me one moment I'm doing something. The cash out was fine. Got home and I'm missing the biscuits I ordered a la carte. Went back. The person that assisted me stomped over to me, said what, I explained the situation, she said ok. No apology, no let me fix that, she just stomped away, grabbed my missing items (no gloves) and halfway tossed the bag at me. The drive through was super slow while I was waiting to order. This will be the last time I try to order food from the KFC on Bee Ridge. The young staff there has no manners, no work ethic and no supervision. They only wait on the customers when they feel like it. They are outright disrespectful. The drive thru line is ridiculously long. I was the only person inside the store and no one was around to wait on anyone. I could clearly hear two staff members arguing in the back. There was no one cooking or filling any orders. After several minutes I just left. 2 weeks ago I went there for the first time and stood there for several minutes while the staff intentionally ignored me and just stood around talking. Chicken is crispy and still tastes like it did when I was a kid. This location recently had a huge remodel and it looks clean and inviting. The food is fresh and the portions to pricing are fantastic. My main issue is that it is understaffed and always has a wait of over 15 minutes from point of ordering to getting your food. The staff tries but it is not happening. Plus, they seem to be out of plates, sauces often. Why is that? I do not mind waiting for dinner so that's all I will go here for. We always eat at this location but usually go through the drive thru, tonight my husband had an hour break so we decided to eat inside and that was a big mistake. It was about 8:15 pm There was one cashier in the front and about 5 people in the back we waited about 15 minutes before our order was taken, my husband decided to go use the restroom and it was filthy and stunk, there was a dead cockroach in the corner. My husband asked the cashier if there was a manager available and she hesitated and said there was but he was busy. My husband showed her a picture of the cockroach and bathroom and suggested she get the manager which she did and someone did eventually go clean up the roach but not the rest of the bathroom. My daughter ordered the chicken breast fill up and got a 2 piece thigh and drumstick instead.
