E was the most enthusiastic person I had ever met in a fast food establisment. His welcome seemed like that of a long lost friend. First off I couldn't get the attention of anybody I banged on the window beep my horn. Which didn't surprise me for a fast food place at one time that had a claim of chicken fried rat cooked and served it to a customer. I ordered Uber eats and I received the wrong stuff in my order plus it all tasted not like it usually does. The biscuit tasted sour and the fries where all stale like they had been sitting there for hours, mind you I ordered mashed potatoes and received those fries instead. The food was cold even though my Uber got it to me in less than 10 mins and honestly I only am writing this review because I have ordered from that location and the food has been fine. This review it's for the excellent customer service I received on 5/27 around 11am. As soon as I walk inside, the lady greet me with warm welcome. I order the flavors box and add a side and a soda with her. When my food was ready on the counter, she also remind me to take caution because it's hot. My wife and I went here with our 7 year old. To start the restaurant was filthy and we had to ask for a towel to clean a table because they were all dirty. My daughter had to use the bathroom and when my wife took her she saw cockroaches crawling around and moldy food in there. Just went with my family through the drive through for an early dinner, the cashier was efficient and friendly and helped us order exactly what we wanted. We got to the window where we were greeter with a smile as he and the other awesome staff put our food together, and we got it and left easily and quickly. After pulling out my husband reached into the bag to grab his chicken and it was piping hot, all of our meals were. They were fresh and delicious. All the chicken was amazing, the biscuits were warm and fresh, the potato wedges were perfectly cooked. This place has really come a long way. I used to love the A&W in SR, but now that it's a Dim Sum place, I needed to get my Cheese Curd fix somewhere. I arrived Friday evening and it was really busy - but I was helped quickly, the staff was friendly and when I ordered a bunch of random stuff (a chili cheese coney, cheese curds, and a rootbeer float) the guy ran it thru a couple of different ways (and realized I saved about $2.15 ordering it as a meal - plus my drink was bigger) The food was hot and fresh, the grease for the cheese curds was awesome, and they didn't skimp on the toppings on my dog. The other day I went through the drive-through at this location. I don't live in the area of this KFC so I'm not sure what their day to day performance is generally like. IDK how or what was going on that day, but there is no way on this planet that it should take 23 min to fulfill a drive-through order. It's ridiculous. I'm not the guy whos going to post an extended time just to make a company look bad. That's a dirty move and I won't do it. That 23 min is conservative. To top it off, there was no acknowledgment of the fact we've been waiting forever and a day when we got to the window. Just business as usual. It was like this is their "normal" by the way the lady reacted to the situation. The only reason I give this establishment 2 Stars is due to the fact A&W shares it's location. KFC's food has been terrible more than on one occasion. I will not be buying food from KFC (at this location) again. I will only purchase A&W menu items (polar swirl) from now on. Not only was the food horrible, but the girl taking my order had to have been brand new. I repeated my order & had her say it back 3-4 times & she still got it wrong. Way overpriced too.
