My wife and I figured we'd give KFC a shot. We remember KFC of a few years back, so our expectations were pretty high. Well, they are not that KFC. The staff was courteous, but not super friendly. Ordering was easy enough and our food was ready quickly enough. We had trouble finding a clean table. Once we found a passable one, the search for napkins was on. We were informed there were none...even though the place was fitted with napkin dispensers. We did get wipes. But wipes for fried chicken? C'mon! And we needed napkins! The chicken was greasy. This was the crispy. (We were told there is no longer extra crispy.) The sides were good. We ordered 2 extra sides. The spork now triples as a knife to spread anything on your biscuit. So, our meal was tasty, but not fulfilling. Our dining experience was memorable, but not in a good way. Close to $30 for 2 2-piece meals and 2 extra sides with 2 sporks, 4 wipes, and no napkins (so you can't even wipe the crumbs off the table before you sit down. read more

I generally like Kentucky fried chicken's recipe along with their mashed potatoes and gravy however I reluctantly stopped at this particular location, as I have had issues here prior. I cannot recommend KFC. Went there tonight for dinner after long day. I was hopeful and rhe menu looked good. But the actual food was pretty bad. The chicken sandwich was cold, obviously cooked long before I arrived. The specialty sandwich was actually a regular piece of chicken with some sauce applied on or close to it. But, their aim was off and about half if the sauce was applied to the outside, bottom part of bun. They could use some target practice. Also, their strategy seems to be to take existing products and apply sauce. Another example was a cinnabon biscuit, which is their regular biscuit with sugar and cinnamon slathered over it. I order, pay, and then my girlfriend goes to grab the food. arrives 2 mins after the time that the food is supposed to be ready to get picked up, come to find out the idiot at the counter gave the food to some random. Then, some lady behind the counter has the freakin AUDACITY to come yell at my girlfriend. THEN said lady starts yelling about my girlfriend behind in the cooking area. One person wasn't a freakin moron and said that maybe they should remake my food because i paid for it and the kfc idiots gave it away, so at least my girlfriend got to get the food we paid for while having to stand there with the creep at the register staring directly at her chest the whole time. Stopped by on our way home and purchased the $24.99 8 piece original bucket. There were no cars in the parking and drive thru (should have been our first concern). When we opened the bucket the chicken at home it was dry and hard like it had been sitting in the serving area for a long tine. My wife wanted the thighs and I had a piece of breast meat. Both of us were very disappointed and could not eat the chicken. The biscuits were hard enough to drive a nail into apiece of wood. I thru all of the bucket food into the trash! We have learned our lesson since this is the 3rd time in a row we have had this happen at this location. We will not return again because it has happened to us at one of the other Rochester, MN locations. read more

I stopped in for some takeout. The line was quite long and slow. Several women were working here and they seemed to be quite confused. There was yelling from the front to the back about why certain items were out and not being cooked. It took quite some time to get my "fast food " order. The food has been fine and pick-up has been smooth. HOWEVER the last two times we've ordered here, they haven't given us the ordered sauce (gotta have the awesome sauce with the tenders!). We've picked our big order in the drive thru so we didn't want to dig through the bags to check for the sauce and hold up the line. When picking it up, we even mentioned to make sure we have the sauce as last time it wasn't sent with our meal. Yet they AGAIN didn't put any in our bag/order!! There food is amazing, I love there famous bowl, it's a five dollar fill up meal. So I went to kfc because I really didn't have the time to cook tonight, so I thought I'll just grab some ready to eat chicken and sides that's always pretty good I guess. Everything was quick and ready but unfortunately I got home and found hair in the mash potatoes and hair in the corn, the biscuits had taste of something freezer burnt, macaroni was a pile of mush and the chicken tenders(12) were as tough as a well done steak. I been calling their phone number that's listed but no answer and I called a fair amount of times, Customer service goes out the window at that point. I'm an optimistic person. I hate to give bad reviews but hopefully this isn't their usual condition of food. We are here at noon. Not many people here. Didn't have to wait in line long. Food came out quick. Ladies' restroom was clean but....that's the good part. My chicken fingers and biscuit was cold and tough. The mash potatoes was hot and good. My husband had the three piece meal. The three pieces were so small. The chocolate chip cookies were very hard. I hope we caught them at a bad time. It was a cold, snowy day. I once came in to place some orders for my coworkers (perhaps six orders) and was looked at like I was speaking alien. I had to repeat much of what I said. The comprehension of the staff was very slim. Across the street is a McDonald's, and the staff there are ten times better. When I was dishing out the food to my coworkers, I found the order to be off. I had a headache just ordering the food, now I was just plain mad. I usually don't go here because my usually iron clad stomach can't handle it and the few times I do I'm frustrated. My other half had a craving the other day and went through the drive through. Went back and requested a refund the manager says no and starts threatening my husband in front of my daughter! This is Unacceptable. For convenience to Saint Marys Hospital, this KFC can't be beat. The food is typical KFC fare, nothing unique, and the restaurant is generally clean (although the bathrooms can sometimes use some freshening). This KFC does not honor internet coupons, even if the KFC web site lists it as a participating retailer, so don't expect to get a bargain here. read more

This was my second visit here and it did not improve from the first visit. We ordered an 8 piece extra crispy chicken bucket to take home. First, we didn't realize how expensive this one item was ($16.49). I could get the same thing and much better from our local grocery for $8. When we got the chicken home, I opened it to find original recipe chicken (not extra crispy) and we had 1 breast, 2 legs, 2 thighs, and 3 wings. The wings were so small they had no meat. Spending many days at St. Mary's the last few days. The last evening we were here. We had to dinner at Kentucky fried chicken. Our chicken was not good at all. The workers were a bit rude mostly willie. There was 1 smile out of the 4 workers be hind the counter. I myself when I walked out but we have a three-year-old granddaughter who was starving. I completed a survey from another KFC and went in to order a Zinger $5 fill up which includes a drink. I was rudely told that I would need to purchase another drink in order to redeem my completed survey for a free Go Cup even though the Zinger comes with one. Needless to say after they had my order all ready to go, I told them I no longer wanted it for not honoring my completed survey from another KFC. So instead of losing my business for that order, they also lost money in food cost by having my order all ready and tossing my order in the trash by simply not honoring a completed survey. But it is Rochester so if you're not a Mayo Clinic employee, you don't need to be treated with any respect. Hopefully but doubtfully the franchise owner reads how ridiculous their policy is when it comes to honoring these survey coupons.
