I don't usually review fast food chains, but my husband and I were running errands in the neighborhood around lunchtime and saw on Wednesday they do a chicken fried steak special for $5.99 +tx so we decided to give it a try. The crust was dark, extremely hard and/or very chewy while at the same time completely saturated in oil. The meat was dry, chewy, and sucked the moisture out of my mouth. KFC comes through for a delicious holiday meal. Switched out plastic containers for nice dishes. Crisped up chicken in the oven. Made a side of spinach. Had already bought a dessert but could've easily served the included chocolate chip cookies with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Think of it the next time you want to let the cook rest but enjoy a perfect meal.
