Wow what a great idea I haven't seen this specific meal at any other KFC so I'm not sure if it's area specific, but it is definitely worth the price comes with 2 sides and a biscuit, drink is extra( they charged me 59¢ for water) Would definitely recommend the Chicken Fried steak special. I purchased an 8-Piece (only) crispy chicken. Even gave a 25% tip (in cash.) Got home to enjoy my meal. To my surprise the chicken was way over done. The crust was dark, extremely hard and/or very chewy while at the same time completely saturated in oil. The meat was dry, chewy, and sucked the moisture out of my mouth. KFC comes through for a delicious holiday meal. Switched out plastic containers for nice dishes. Crisped up chicken in the oven. Made a side of spinach. Had already bought a dessert but could've easily served the included chocolate chip cookies with chocolate sauce and ice cream. Think of it the next time you want to let the cook rest but enjoy a perfect meal. When I went to pick it up, I noticed that the store was spotless, my order was ready (and nice and hot), and Angeline, who helped me with my order, couldn't have been more pleasant and efficient. Good customer service? I don't think so ! I ordered a large mashed potatoes & a 3 piece chicken tender meal. They got my order wrong. They corrected it. I get home to find 3 small, thin, dry tenders. I Put them in a baggie to take back the next day. I go back & ask for a refund. I'm told they're always that size. I say, "maybe here, but not at other locations" . She gets her Mgr, I'm told they don't give refunds unless it's the same day, I'm offered another meal, I tell her "I don't want another meal, why would I want more of the same"? so she calls her general Mgr on the phone who says, no refund. Really people? $6 for an inferior product? I left with nothing resolved & went to another KFC. Got a 3 piece chicken tender meal. Low and behold there is a huge difference in the sizes. Havent bothered with KFC for years, especially this location. I was reminded today of exactly WHY that is, and will NOT be trying again. EVER. Called at 2pm to make an order for pick up at 445 so I could feed our employees for a training session we were having on site. The gal seemed to "get it". Took the order, confirmed the time I would be picking up, and asked which sides I would want with that. Seemed good to go, so I even added in a cake to my order to give the guys a treat. 430 rolls around and I send one of my employees to pick up the food (they are about 10 minutes away, I figured the timing was perfect to get everything back here by 5pm). She gets there and has to call me because they dont know exactly what I ordered, and which sides to go with it. Ok, then. I ask her to give the phone to one of the KFC people, and the gal spoke harshly to me, and acted like it was my fault that they failed to actually take the order while they took the order. Asked for a manager... another gal got on the phone and finished the ordering (that I had already done 2 hours prior, you know). She was also quite rude and I never did hear an actual apology for their mistake. A half-hearted "Oh, we dont have green beans here even though the website says we do... sorry.", is not an apology for the entire mess they made of my simple little dinner. Knowing this was a horrible experience for me (and the employee standing there waiting for them) did they offer anything? Anything at all? NOPE! I had a cake on my order. A $5 cheap cake, and they didnt make any offer of any kind whatsoever to try to keep my business for the next time. I guess this is exactly why we have been using the Popeyes by the mall for the last couple of years, instead.
