I like Papa John's pizza. It tasted great but the problem is with their switchboard or order desk. Those people cannot speak English. I believe we called India and if you are someone who speaks India-English, you would be fine. Otherwise, you might as well reserve 20 minutes to get through the order and still have it incorrect. Papa John's has a weirdly sweet pizza crust, and their box advertises "sugar" as one of its ingredients. This makes for a decidedly unpleasant flavor. They tried to charge me their new price of $13 and some odd change for the Pepsi and breadsticks. I pointed out the menu in the store showed $7.99 and they said there was a price increase and were unwilling to honor their menu prices!! This use to be my favorite pizza place. Upper management decided to start outsourcing to call centers out of the country to save money. Not only ia this a disgusting act but has caused lots of problems for lots of customers and employees alike. I was told my order would be 26.01 and when the driver showed up he told me it was 36.85. Obviously because of the outsourcing there was a major issue. The driver was able to remedy this for me, and explained how the outsourcing to the call center has been nothing but negative experiences. Papa johns. As if he knew me, I told him that was not my name and still called me Juan. The front counter person asked my name,handed me my pizza. Just to get home and find out that they gave me Juans order. Decided to try the new Epic Pepperoni-Stuffed Crust Pizza which showed picture of pizza with LOTS of pepperoni with stuffed crust. When I got home and opened the box found only cheese pizza and NO pepperoni on it. Called store and they said they have had lot of people that ordered online have this problem. Apparently you have to go add pepperoni to the pepperoni pizza or it only has it in the stuffed crust. They did NOT offer anything to fix the problem. Then when I opened the Works pizza found it only had minimal ingredients and only in center of pizza. We had never been here before and were in the area. While pulling into the parking lot I looked up their menu. They had a special on the XL pizza so we decided to try that. My husband ran in to place a carry out order while I waited in the car with our little one. He came back out and told me the cashier said they were getting low on the XL size dough and they needed to save it in case more orders came in later. ... Huh? It was about 6pm. Deserves two stars plus one more for promotional discount - buy one get one free. On first impression (first time visit) I found this pizza place less than friendly. Front desk clerk had his back turned opposite side of customer line fixing up several boxes. Even after getting up didn't bother to turn around to check if anyone was around until he noticed me from corner of his eye. He called over a second person (manager?) because he couldn't find my online order. They had to scan their computer several times then in a brusque manner asked for my name. 2nd person left without further word or assurance my order coming. Not knowing what to expect I sat down thinking they will only start fixing my order now. However, within 5 to 7 minutes a third person arrived up front with my order at least with somewhat of friendly attitude. Pizza tasted OK but I wouldn't describe it as above the competition. Their website lacking in security because of absence of HTTPS . I strongly advise against using your credit card online from there. This is a store that's mostly geared for take out deliveries so not much tables if any for customers. Would I shop again from here? ...Maybe if their promotional discount makes it my worthwhile. For just a little more $- I get delivery usually in 30-45 minutes. My only complaint is they closed their Hazel Dell location. I've tried Papa Murphy's a few times since then. But they just don't compare to the taste. As far as their recent political correctness campaign against their founder - I think they need to stay out of politics- because it's a huge turn off. I still buy their pizza - but to do the typical corporate "metoo" act is not necessary for them because their food speaks for itself and I don't think anyone really cared what their founder said - especially when what he said was taken out of context entirely. We have had good experiences with this location, but with this order we had to pick off whole garlic cloves and large chunks. We removed over three ounces of garlic and still deemed it inedible. The pizza is good enough, but I am very unhappy with the in-store pickup experience. In response to the competition, they now offer a large cheese or pepperoni pizza "hot and ready" with "no waiting" for $5. So there's a guy on the corner waving his "No Waiting!" sign. There's a big banner on the store window, "No Waiting!" And even on the menu up behind the counter is the oft-repeated promise: "No Waiting!". Four times in a row I stopped there to pick up a "hot and ready" pizza with "no waiting", and four times in a row the pizza was in fact not ready, and waiting was mandatory, generally at least ten minutes. I really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt after three fails, but after four, I'm done. Fool me once... er, four times.... I complained the last time. It's not that I would mind waiting if they offered $5 pizza while you wait, because that is still a good deal. But I am cranked at the high-visibility "No Waiting!" promises all the way out to the guy on the corner waving his sign when it never works out that way. Either stand by the promise, or stop promising. Apparently I wasn't the only person to have brought it up, as the guy behind the counter said he's "told them over and over" that they need more pizzas ready but that the management isn't willing to risk having to throw many away. Guess what, managers? You win, no throwing away, and no selling, either. Little Caesar's is just up the road, and I'm back with them again. Decided to take pizza home to the family for dinner the other night. Pulled in and went inside to place my order. While waiting for about 15 min ( totally ok since I walked in and placed the order instead of calling it in ) the entire time while waiting for my pizza all I listened to was young workers talking about their social lives, parties they had been to etc. They only employee really working was being ignored every time she would say " customer leaving " I'm assuming the rest of the team should say " Thank you or Goodbye " the rest of the team ignored her and the customers walking out. The last two times we've ordered delivery, we've had to call and inquire about our order (being that it was 15 minutes beyond the delivery window). The first time it showed up late and no longer hot. Decided to give them another chance called and placed an order, had to inquire where our order was after 15 minutes beyond the delivery window to be told that the driver forgot to grab our order and it would be 15-20 minutes before he came back to it, and them the time to get it out to us... he'd be willing to cancel our order for us if we want. This review is solely based on the elderly woman who I've dealt with a few times, I don't like leaving bad reviews but her customer service is terrible every time. I've spoken on the phone with her before, placing an order and she asked me to hold on and proceeded to answer a personal call saying that she was at work and couldn't talk. This last time I went in and asked if they were still doing a special and she shut me up by saying no and pointing to tell the specials were on a paper. So I want to start off by saying that I understand the delivery process is different currently. I am now aware that this store is using door dash to deliver pizza. My first problem is that it would seem the store may not have the delivery drivers info once they leave the store... I ordered pizza a few nights ago. I was tracking the pizza on the app,at that time believing that one of their employees was delivering. After 45 minutes I went to check the app and it said that my pizza had been delivered. Seeing as how it hadn't, I gave them a call. At that time I was informed that door dash would be delivering the pizza and it should be here anytime. After 15 minutes I called back. Once again I was told about door dash and it should be there anytime... The pizza had been out of the store for over 30 minutes at that time. A pizza in a warming bag for 30 minutes doesn't sound that appealing, but to be honest I am unsure if door dash drivers are equipped with these bags. At that time it was pretty late in the evening so I was told they would send one of their drivers out with a replacement order. I asked that I just be refunded seeing as how it was late and I needed to get my kids fed. Today is Wednesday and I have called two separate times in regards to my refund. Upon checking my account today I did see that the first charge dropped off, but only to be re-charged to my account today. I don't believe this is an overall Papa John's issue, but just a local one for this franchise. Which isn't totally fair because I have successfully ordered from them on two occasions, but the last two times have been pretty terrible. For the most recent order, which was today, the pizza was delivered 45 minutes past it's expected time and the order was incorrect - wrong toppings and wrong bake style. The driver was really lackadaisical, which isn't the end of the world, this is the Northwest, but didn't have a pen and really didn't seem like he cared one way or the other. All of these issues are small and insignificant but when you combine them in one order: late, wrong toppings, wrong bake style, dude makes me go look for a pen because he doesn't have one and doesn't really seem bothered by it - I just sucked. read more
