This location is great. The crew there were more than accommodating. When my daughter and I arrived we waited for our order and the power went out. No storm. No particular reason known at the time. The lead, Mika, and her crew, Ray, Omare, and Katie, not only made sure we received our food by everyone else as well. They were kind, efficient, and driven. Easily the worst experience ever, we should have driven away when they said the fryer wasn't working. We ordered the chicken and tenders feast to be given "tenders" which is chicken patty cut into strips, biscuits that look like they went through the shredder and all of the chicken tastes like it went through the microwave. Stopped with kids to get some lunch. Staff walking in parking area told us it was "sorry, late opening" and no chicken available for 20 minutes. So we walked next door (craft show going on) for 20 minutes. Came back and ordered. AFTER ordering we were told it would be 20 minutes. When food was ready (on tray at counter) I asked for 2 cups for water & was told they are not allowed to give out water -- they could offer a cup if you paid for a soda. After spending over $30 for chicken, I can't get a cup of water? So I said, I will take it to go and eat at home. After 10 minutes the lady put a bag and box on the counter & told me to box it myself as it would "be awhile before I can get to it". The chicken was very greasy & mediocre to boot. After more than a year since my previous review, I was in the neighborhood near dinner time, trying to decide what to bring home for dinner. I had driven by KFC many times in the last year, and recently I noticed that they usually seemed to be open during their posted hours, which is huge for them. A year ago, they were just opening and closing at random times. Once I was in a long line waiting my turn, and about halfway through the drive-thru line, a manager came out to each car telling us they were closing several hours early and wouldn't be filling any more orders. Please see my previous review for all of the other outrageous things I've seen them pull. After well over a year had passed, I decided to see if anything had changed. They hadn't closed yet, so somebody must be happy. This year, I had a couple of okay experiences, although twice in a row they weren't offering a choice between original or extra crispy. They'd just tell YOU at the speaker what THEY had felt like making that day and that's what you could order. This happened two visits in a row. Once, they only had original and once they only had extra crispy. I like them both, so I just took what they felt like giving me both times. Today, I decided to take my chances once again, but this will probably be the last time. This place has no intention of getting any better. I ordered a 12-piece meal, extra crispy, and told the young man which sides I wanted. He gave me my total and asked if I wanted to round up for the KFC Foundation. I will usually round up whenever I'm asked if it's for charity, so I said yes. I got to the window and a young woman told me my total (without rounding up for the charity). I said, "And I rounded up." She said, "Oh, you wanted to round up?" I said, "Yeah, that's what I told the man on the speaker." She said okay, closed the window for a minute, opened it again and explained that she was going to give me my sides and have me pull into a parking space, because they were waiting on the chicken. I said sure, although I didn't love the idea, because if you've ever been to this particular KFC you know that their parking lot is a tiny narrow thing where you and the drive-thru people are kind of competing for space. You back out of one of those parking spaces at your own risk, but I did as I was told. I figured, "Fresh chicken just out of the oven. That will be good at least." Eventually, she brought out the chicken and my receipt (which had not been rounded up - no skin off my nose, I guess, it's your charity) and told me that the cook had decided to only make the dark meat in original recipe. Say what now?!?!? She asked if that would be okay, something she probably should have done before I left the window. I just wanted out of there at this point, so I said sure and took the chicken. My husband prefers dark meat, and I prefer white, so he would just get original and I would get crispy, which was what I wanted anyway. I took the food home. What she had told me was ass backward. The white was original and the dark was crispy. At this point, I was just like, Geez, whatever. I'm done. Don't go here. You won't be happy, and they won't give a damn. read more

Placed an order on the KFC app around 5pm for a 6pm pick up time. Pull up to this KFC around 6:05. Long drive thru line so I pull into a spot walk up to the door that clearly says "Open for Mobile Pick-ups Dine in and Carry Out" yet all the doors were locked. Approach the window with another customer who had a pick up order and were informed 1.) Would have to wait in drive thru my order. 2.) It would still be another 20 or so minutes. (6:10 by this time) because they are waiting on chicken. 3.) That they didn't even get my order until 6pm when its set for pickup at 6pm. I dont know about you, but when I set a pickup time for something, that means its ready to be picked up at that time. Not ill start working on it then. 100% unacceptable. The manager working the Monday shift on 05/22/2023 around 4pm is responsible for this terrible review you are about to read. Not only were the cops called in the end, but that is not the worst part. I recently had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts to WARN others. The sheer lack of customer service and the disrespectful attitude of the manager working 5/22/23 were beyond appalling. First and foremost, the manager at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy displayed a complete disregard for customer satisfaction. After they made a mistake with my drink order, I politely requested a new cup with a different beverage. To my disbelief, they flat-out refused to get me a new cup, .. he told me to "just rinse it out".. It's astounding how a simple request for a new cup could be met with such resistance and inflexibility. But the nightmare didn't end there. Not only did they fail to rectify the drink issue, but they also got my order incorrect. It was an absolute mess, and the fact that they couldn't even fulfill a basic order accurately is mind-boggling. When I approached the manager, hoping for a resolution or at least a refund, I was met with rudeness and disrespect. He insisted I bring back in the fries I didn't want - In order for me to get the coleslaw I initially asked for. The manager seemed completely disinterested in addressing my concerns, leaving me feeling ignored and humiliated. I said "will you remake the whole order when I bring the fries back?" He said, "I'll remake what I see." Meaning since I ate a couple of chicken nuggets he would only make what I had left. (so basically since I ate 3 nuggets before turning around to fix my order he would not make the extra nuggets I ate upon returning). Talk about wow. Keep reading.. What adds salt to the wound is the restaurant's unwillingness to provide a refund for the order they messed up. Instead of taking responsibility for their mistakes, they callously dismissed my request for a refund. It's utterly outrageous that they expect customers to pay for their errors and poor service. It's clear to me that the manager at The KFC on Veterans Memorial Pkwy has no regard for customer satisfaction or the repercussions of his actions. The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy displayed here is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering dining at this establishment to think twice before doing so. Nope think three times. With such abysmal customer service and a manager who clearly doesn't value patrons, it's no wonder that this KFC has 1.5 stars on other review sites and is clearing losing business. I can only imagine the negative impact this manager has on employee retention, the restaurant's reputation and potential revenue. Until significant changes are made to the management, I cannot fathom recommending this restaurant to anyone. If I could put 0 stars believe me I would. Listen, I can understand an establishment being understaffed, but for the past 6 months is unbelievable. Every time I go there the drive-thru line is seeping into other restaurants, the inside is packed and I'm only ever able to see a maximum of 2 workers in the kitchen at any given moment. When they aren't completely packed, they're already out of half the shit they offer on the menu. By far the worst KFC in this area. If you want chicken, go literally anywhere but here - because you're waiting at least an hour before you see your food being made. They were out of all chicken sandwiches one complete section of the menu was missing, so when I was told about some numbered combos, they weren't there to see. The cashier wasn't very helpful and just seemed to be in a rush. Nobody had been in front of me. After seeing her, she looked worn out. Probably another short staffed story. Under new management. Don't know how it could possibly be worse than before it shut down, but it is. Arrived home to discover half our food missing. Tried to call them. Phone rang and rang and no one ever answered. Drove back over there, and there was no one in the line so we drove right up to the drive up window where they looked at us and talked amongst themselves and ignored us for a couple of minutes before finally walking over to ask us what we wanted. Told them we were missing 3 biscuits, the 3 piece tender meal and 1 side dish. Said they would start making it. Someone pulled up to order behind us. Employee came back to window to ask us to go wait in parking lot. My husband said, no thanks. We'll wait here. Then each employee in the store took a turn coming to ask us to move away from the window because they had customers to serve. Then an adult worker came to the window and a little forcefully asked us to move. We asked if they made the food earlier when we were here 20 minutes ago. She said yes. We asked why they couldn't just give it to us. She said they were still making it. Finally someone probably a manager came over and apologized and asked us to wait in the parking lot and told us her employees were only 15 years old. Mobile orders don't mean anything. We placed a mobile order at 6:30pm. Followed the directions as described on the email confirmation. Get to the store and the doors were locked and the drive thru had at least 8 cars. The poster on the window gave the same instructions on how "mobile-orders" were to be retrieved. Just walk in and find your order on the shelf. I walked around to the side door, thinking they moved the shelf to the side of the dining room. While an employee was on the phone, she looked my direction and I showed her my cell phone as to indicate that I placed a mobile order. She swung her arm to pointing to the drive-thru. Once in the drive thru, now with KFC customer service on the phone we pull up to the speaker only to be greeted with "We are out of food". It is only 6:59pm. Apparently they listened to the reviews and brought in a new crew that finally knows what they are doing ! I used to work there and when I tell you the working environment was disgusting I mean DISGUSTING. I was new there and saw my MANAGER wipe his gloves off on his dirty shirt and not even get new gloves and continued working with it. Another employee there kept putting the tongs that you use to get the chicken with on the dirty counter. They ice scooper is also really gross every time I scooped ice for a customer I felt bad cuz they were getting partially dirty ice. There's more gross stuff but that would be too long.
