Amazing food. Fast service. (Extra food given) clean tables, very nice hospitality, love this place

Food was horrible and cold. Attitude there is all misery like no one wanted to be there or helping people. People who work there really seem like they don't want to work there and put their attitude out on their customers. Came and got food and got the wrong things, but didn't feel like going back into deal with the horrible customer service to get the order corrected. People should really consider not getting a job in fast food and customer service if they don't want to do the customer service part of it, or learn to correctly do the fast food part. These chains just getting worse for their price. Lady in the drive thru could use a lesson on customer service / separating friend and work time w her friends hanging in the drive thru... go find a new job at that point because you'll be the reason that location shuts its doors. Make the drive to another location. Its time this one closes because it's been like this for a year. read more

While the service is not going to be Chick-fil-A, I do not want to give up on the Colonel. As a child I use to love it when my mom brought home a bucket from KFC! Besides loving fried chicken, we could use the lid as a frisbee. Even thought this restaurant does hot have a buffet, I visit others that do. I would think there would always be a market for a fried chicken buffet? The KFC in Newport does offer a selection of items from Long John Silver's as both fall under the umbrella of The Yum Corporation. On this day I enjoyed the smoky mountain BBQ Strips. (See Picture) and their new Mac &Cheese with chicken did get my attention for another trip. I loved the size and the taste of these unique chicken strips. The restaurant was not the most clean and it might not have the greatest of service, but I like the various food choices and the quality of the food and the service on this day was just fine. read more

The customer service at this location is beyond unacceptable. I have been to this location previously and was told they have no chicken or fish because it was to close to closing time. This was more than an hour before closing time. Tonight I went to this location and was told they weren't taking any orders they had already cleaned the equipment. We were visiting from Dayton, Ohio and we stopped in there. The group of Young people there? When I tell you they were so nice, respectful, polite, I sho nuff mean it!! They werent very busy but they were also not clowning around. They were having a cool conversation amongst themselves and again, they were very very polite. This location is HORRIBLE! The drive thru is very unorganized and the people continue to talk to the next person taking their order and not paying attention to what you need. Even with setting the bar very low on my expectations, they failed to the grade. Stay away unless poor service and cold greasy food served by rude inattentive people is what you are what you are look for. read more

Bought chicken planks 9 piece and other stuff. Got home notice all the breading was wet and falling off. Returned to store. Told by manager that's how it does. And it would do it again. I suggested KFC chicken strips in place of. Charge me additional money of 3 dollars to change the order. The chicken strips breading wasn't soggy and did stay on. Insulted that I was charged more because of their inferior product caused me to drive back to store. Shameful. Terrible quality. Terrible managerial skills. read more

The food was honestly great. Mac n cheese was under salted and not very cheesy but the noodles were great and perfectly Al dente. The biscuit was the first one I've had in years that actually tasted fresh. The chicken deserves a paragraph of its own but It's late and I simply couldn't be bothered to hit the return key. I ordered the extra crispy chicken and it held its crisp for much longer than other fast food places. Not to mention the coating was delicious as well as the sauces. I'm all for restaurants paying their employees significantly better but at this location it's probably best to fire them all first and bring in people who don't mess up your order, yell at YOU for the order being wrong, and handle the food prep bare handed. I haven't been in a KFC in years. So long, in fact, that I still call them "Kentucky Fried Chicken". Anyway, we were heading to the Aquarium in Newport right around lunch time when we decided it would be a good idea to get the kids fed before going to check out the fish. My super picky 6 year old pretty much survives on chicken nuggets from the notorious McD's when we're out and about. As much as this bothers me, I also appreciate that it is one of the few things he eats without complaint or much prompting on our part. So we were on the hunt for a McDonalds when I saw this KFC from the stoplight. I figured we should give it a shot. We walked in and were greeted by very friendly folks at the counter followed by a slightly funny interaction. Nice guy at the Counter: What would you folks like today? My Wife: Well, the kids want chicken nuggets NGC: We don't serve "chicken nuggets". MW: Um. Wait, is this KFC? (my wife and I exchange slightly confused looks). NGC: Ahem. We serve real chicken. MW: Ohhh. Ok. We'd like whatever is like a chicken nugget for the kids. NGC: Then you probably want the Original Recipe Bites. The rest of the order went much more smoothly. The food was surprisingly good and of much higher quality than what we expect from McDonalds. The chicken nuggets are actual real pieces of chicken as opposed to chickenish fried nugget things. This is the worst KFC I ever visited. The staff is rude. I ordered a 3 piece chicken dinner. I asked the girl to add a large coleslaw. I got your coleslaw...do you want anything else. This location has always given us great service, excellent food, the order is always correct! The staff is always friendly and polite.

So I didn't actually order at this place, BUT I am a witness of the poor condition of the kitchen and unprofessional staff. I went to the drive through to see if I can pick up an order through the window for Uber Eats since It didn't look busy and Covid. They told me to come inside. Not a problem I guess. I was the only one in the "restaurant" waiting for an order to be ready to pick up for Uber Eats. The workers were carrying on a conversation and not one acknowledged me standing at the counter lol. Then a worker saw a bug on the window and started freaking out. Another worker came around from the way back. TOOK HIS SHOE OFF AND KILLED THE BUG, and then proceeded to go to the back. Phone was ringing no one knew where it was. It just didn't seem like it was under control in there. I'm sitting in my car writing this review and they just brought me something they missed on the order for my customer. Not sure what item exactly because it's all tied up and can't see. I am traveling in the area and my family wanted KFC while in Kentucky (go figure). We had a long day at the zoo and site seeing, just wanted to eat at hotel. Part of our order was not in sack when we arrived to hotel. I spoke with manager and told her we would come back for meal. She not only corrected issue but gave us a nice dessert for having to cone all the way back. While waiting on order. SUPER NASTY!!!!! I drove through the drive through around closing time and ordered 8 pc family meal. When I got home it was the dregs and leftovers super uncrispy and saturate with oil. Chicken was hard and the fries were beat to hell. I called in the morning and was told that I would be sent a postcard for the replacement meal. Waited a week for card...... never came. My review is of the KFC in Hamilton Ohio (1001 NORTHWEST WASHINGTON BLVD. HAMILTON, OH 45013) I'd been there before and food and service was good. What happened? Last 3 times we've decided NEVER to go back. The last time, broke the camel's back so to speak as IT was awful. Biscuits so hard, it sounded like a rock when my husband bounced it off his plate and it hit the floor. The chicken was over salted and COLD and i don't mean warm i meant cold. I called to complain and she said (whomever answered) was sorry and to try them again. I told her we had decided that twice before and now after this evening they would have no more tries. I posted my husband bouncing his biscuit on his facebook page. (David Davis) and well its was funny. People laughed but the corporate KFC office did reach out and apologize. Today I had a fun lunch with my dad, Brother & Brother's family. We had take out KFC chicken something I had not had for quite some time. For about $30 there was an 8 piece bucket, chicken tenders, potato wedges, several sides, gravy, chocolate chip cookies & a lot of dipping sauces. The chicken was moist and tender but not with much of a seasoned flavor. It had a light crispy coating. I guess that is why they give you all the dipping sauces several of which were not half bad. The potato wedges also lacked significant seasoning and could have had a more crispy texture. The macaroni and cheese was a step above the boxed variety with a creamy sauce but it was not as cheesey as I would have hoped. The chicken tenders seemed to be a bit more flavorable with a nice breaded coating. The chocolate chip cookies were ok but nothing special. I was disappointed with the service that received. I got a chicken tenders that was supposed to have honey mustard on them I didn't. The meal was also supposed to come with cold slaw but didn't receive it. The workers said that their ovens were down only their fryers were working. I saw a number of the workers on their phones when there was customers to be waited on. Ticket# 2260. This place is Newport KY location is an absolute nightmare. Went to the drive-thru and order 20 pieces of legs and thighs. Was told it would be 15 minutes and we will bring it out to. Wanted extra crispy but was told that will take even longer. Went with the original recipe and waited where I was instructed to. Sat there for 30 minutes as car after car went through the driver thru. After 30 minutes of burning gas in the parking lot, I went inside and waited. The lady who took my order ask if she could help me. I said, I am the guy who order the bucket of chicken you said someone would bring out in 15 minutes 30 minutes ago. At that point they started getting my order together and said sorry for the wait. It shouldn't have been sorry for the wait, but sorry that we absolutely blew you off and forgot about it. You are better off going to Lee's Famous Recipe or Kroger deli over this nightmare of restaurant. It is a bad experience the vast majority of the time. read more
