I used to live in the McKeesport Area for years before joining the service and never stepped foot…read moreinside Mellon's Pub. I had heard about their amazing wings for years, but was either living in another State or always deployed when my family came back for a visit. Recently, I moved back to the area and was asked to go out for some wings with friends. I LOVE wings, especially whole wings. I ordered the seasoned wings and couldn't be happier. The wings at Mellon's Pub were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. My wife ordered the Double Bacon Cheeseburger and was shocked at the size of the burger. She figured with the price of the burger and the size of the pub, the burger would have been small, but this was not the case. Needless to say, she had to take half of the burger home. The selection of beer in the Beer Cooler is above average for the area. I was able to find a beer that I liked instantly, though my selection was not on tap. I prefer bottled beer unless I am hitting up a Micro Brewery. The customers in the pub seem to know everyone and the atmosphere was calming. Knowing the area and not liking uncomfortable situations, I was at ease. There is an Internet Jukebox that has almost every song known to man and the volume was not too loud to make conversations difficult. As a bonus, you can download an app for your smartphone to play songs without having to leave your seat. The Staff at Mellon's was very receptive and friendly, I never had to wait for a beer. We spent about 4 hours in the Pub, 7 pm to 11 pm. There were approximately 10 people in the pub when we first arrived on a Friday night and by the time we left, there were around 20. There are plenty of seats at the bar, but we chose to sit at a booth because each booth has its own TV that is usually broadcasting some sporting event. All in all, Mellon's Pub is a place that I can certainly see visiting again and on a regular basis (if the wife allows me). It kind of reminded me of the TV Show Cheers.

Tonight, I'm leaving this review immediately after walking out because our experience was just that unforgettable. I'm so grateful that my family and I decided to go out to eat tonight. We've been here a few times before for takeout, but tonight was our first time sitting down as a whole family of 6 and enjoying the full experience and it did not disappoint! Our food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The portions were great, and the prices were definitely worth it. The staff was so friendly, welcoming, and had the biggest smiles. You could genuinely feel the warmth in the atmosphere. And then there was an extra special moment that made our night even more memorable. My daughter and I love to read, and tonight we picked up Sherr's book, Where I Want to Be. We are already obsessed! Sherri, congratulations on your FIRST book! It was such a pleasure meeting you tonight. I truly believe that little unexpected moment made our entire night even more special. Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful experience. We will absolutely be back and we're already looking forward to our next visit! Keep doing what you're doing. You have something really special here!
