Went through drive through for two small orders of mashed potatoes and gravy. This is and should be done in drive through since they're already premade. I was told to park in the front, also with a baby in the car, waited 10 mins and had to call the store only to be told they forgot and they're sorry. Honest unacceptable. It's unfortunate that this is our only KFC in town because it's always something negative going on here. But tonight 2/7/24 really pissed me off. I placed an online order at 9pm which is according to posted hours, an hour before close. Got my order confirmation and pickup time. Proceed to go in and pick it up only to be told they are completely out of food and only have a handful of nuggets and two sandwiches left. Ask them to just refund/cancel the order. Oh they can't do that either and basically said we gotta call somewhere and figure that out on our own. So one: why are you out of food an hour before close? Or do you just not want to make any because you're lazy and wanna go home early? Because that's what it looks like. Two: if you ran out of what we ordered you literally couldn't call BEFORE we drove there? And three: you basically stole my money and I want it back. I gave up in this location around a year ago after getting stuck in the drive through after being told they were out of chicken. Cars in front of me and nowhere to go, I had to wait for the people in front to receive their orders before I could even exit. Fast forward to yesterday, I downloaded the kfc app, saw a good deal and placed our order for pickup. The kfc app said my order was ready at 6:41 pm, right around when I arrived. I stood at the mobile pickup counter for 20 minutes before anyone even offered to help. A mom and her son who were there before me just walked out after nobody would take their order. By the time someone actually tried to help me, turns out my food was sitting there the entire 20 minutes I waited. So my food was ready the entire time and sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to hand it to me. Drive through orders came and went as I sat at the counter totally ignored. Stopped by for lunch after hearing this location was under new management. I was greeted promptly when I walked in (not the norm now) and had great customer service for my entire order. My chicken was hot and fresh and my favorite coleslaw was amazing. The dining area was clean except,for the crumbs I left devouring my lunch . We have been to the Manteca Kentucky Fried Chicken on Yosemite. I was so impressed with the manager and every person he has working with him. It's not often you can walk into any fast food now a days and see smiles from their employees however this place is a great place to eat. Smiles, like they love their job. Polite, so friendly we will continue to come from Camanche area and eat there. The manager waited on us both times and was pleasant and truly cared that we walked out satisfied. Place has gone down since the pandemic! Building is in bad shape there are boards on the windows due to break-ins! Can't dine in and order inside the restaurant have to order via drive-thru! Order was over 50 bucks and they still managed to screw it up. Didn't give my large popcorn chicken and didn't honor my request for two drumsticks ended up with a drumstick and a thigh. The franchisee does not care about this restaurant and KFC corporate needs to get a new franchisee that cares about their business!!! I have been going to this KFC for years, and every time I have ordered a 2/3 piece chicken meal it has always come with a drink. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a 3 piece meal and chicken pot pie for my wife. When I went to the order window they gave us our order, I asked does the meal come with a drink, to which the lady said "No" I left on the drive home I thought I have always received a drink. So I get home and bring up the KFC website, and under meals the three piece meal it says 2 thigh, 1 leg, two sides and a medium drink. I tried seeing if this included the Manteca KFC. but there is no way to verify like independent fast food chains. I call and ask to speak to the manager, to which the man answering said he was. So I ask him a simple question, "What does the three piece meal come with. He tells me 2 thighs and a leg. There was a pause and I said any thing else he then says two sides. I ask if it came with a drink, he said "No". He sounded like the person that took my order at the drive thru, so I am wondering, how would he know to tell me 2 thighs and a leg, since there are two options, 2 Thighs and a leg, or 1 chicken breast and two Wings. He never brought up the second option. I then log on to their KFC Experience Website and enter the Survey code. It tells me it is not a valid code. I see it is missing 1 digit. I re-enter the code, but still say invalid and then shows "Thank you for your interest in our survey. Unfortunately, we are unable to continue the survey based on the information you entered." Most surveys have prompted me that the information is incorrect and re submit, but not KFC's survey. Seems that KFC is not really interested in the consumers opinion. I cleared my computer cache and was able to log onto their survey. there is a 1200 Character limit so I had to lose some of the information I have posted here in yelp. I went to Kentucky wrong chicken for my lunch today. Went back to work and was excited to have their new colonel sandwich. I was half way through when I notice a piece of paper in my sandwich. Anyway, after that than we wait for about 20 mins and than are rudely shook by the window flying open and our bags of food being thrown at our door and the glass being closed again. Even after us having to repeatedly say excuse me and wait. Although than we waited again. At this point my mother decided to honk (which isn't the nicest way to get there attention but we already felt disrespected) Than we asked for our drinks that they forgotten to give us. They asked what our drinks were and we repeated it to her. After she returned with them we made a joke (having a funny outlook on the whole situation) about maybe some of the workers seemed high and the lady that gave us our drinks felt completely offended and followed with saying "I Don't Have To Serve You". If you don't want to serve us don't than, go get a job somewhere else. This is customer service everyone should be treated with the respect, the workers and the customer.
