The surprise win was the fried shrimp were actually really good just too salty. And this is coming from a Cajun. But good job I'd actually rate it pretty close to flavor we get back home! I finally settled on the Gouda burger with crispy bacon on a lightly toasted, brioche bun and all the fixings. I upgraded my Fries to beer batter onion rings, and boy was that NOT a mistake. Onion rings were crispy on the outside and succulent on the inside, with a little bit of that tangy beer batter flavor. The burger was piled high with tart, crunchy pickles, crisp lettuce, and a big tomato wedge that was perfectly ripe. Rounding up the presentation was some of the crispies, most perfectly cooked bacon. I've seen in a while and a nice wedge of Gouda cheese, melting, and oozing over it all. On the first bite, you could tell this was definitely chargrilled and done right. The beef was cooked through, but not dried out and the whole thing was a big juicy delicious pile of goodness. My waitress, Allie, was Jonny on the spot with everything. Sort of like the butler from Mr. Deeds; anytime you would start to think about needing something, she would magically appear and practically read your mind, bringing you exactly what you wanted. Located across the street from Bathhouse Row, the Ohio Club has had a long history in this town, having served gangsers, famous baseball players, and other celebrities. I can see why...I mean, they like great food and good drinks just as much as everyone else! The atmosphere is off-the-charts incredible and feels as if one is stepping back in time to 1920s America. Combine this with an amazing food menu and incredible drink selection, and you've got one helluva experience! Service was stellar...friendly and prompt. She was also very helpful with menu selections and drink choices, knowing exactly where to steer two virgins of the Ohio Club experience. We chose to share the Reuben, which was a great choice because it was so big. For drinks, we opted for the Ohio Rum Sour and Berry Ohio...never looking back as they were both delicious! Food was decent, delicious fries and the elote nuggets were to die for. The bacon on my BLT had a nice peppered flavor. We finished off the afternoon with a root beer float which was lovely!
