Just purchased 2 two piece chicken dinners with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Only got one coleslaw and the chicken was so bad I believe it cooked 6 or more hours ago. It was the worse I have seen anywhere. We could not eat it. Very bad. This is a chicken restaurant this is what they do. read more

I went in and ordered 2-2piece meals, one with two wings original and a side of mash potatoes and one with two extra crisp breasts and a side of cole slaw. It was approx. 6Pm when I went in. There were three people in front of me and 4 people behind me in line. Appeared to be short staffed to say the least. When I got home to eat with my wife, we found that all the chicken was extra crisp and dry as punk. The breasts looked like they had been cooked when they first opened up earlier in the day, thats how dry they were and you can tell none of the four pieces were cooked recently. The wings were crisp and dry. This isn't the first time this has happened to me. It happened about a year ago. Started going to Popeye's. But my wife said lets give KFC another shot. Wanted to blame Door Dash that they selected to deliver even though they are the ones that didn't include the order. Also, wanted me to come get the order even though they didn't include the order. Then made me call kfc. Com to get a refund for the mashed potatoes that they didn't include. Took no responsibility for the problem and deflected to everyone else. I visited on Aug 31st was not impressed with the taste of the chicken Tenders Combo. It was 1230 PM when I ordered my meal. Chicken tasted like it was fried the day before including the fried seasonings that are used. I use to work at a KFC in my younger days and have to advise your management that the food quality is substandard including customer service. No ice Available at soda dispenser, no napkins at counter- and old remains of the buffet trays that are left at the front counter.Kentucky Fried Chicken not looking good at this location. Ordered a 10 piece bucket, half white half dark. I happened to check it before we left and all I saw was dark meat so I took it back to the counter and told them and a girl ( I assumed the manager) took it and then came back and said it was both. So I trusted her and we left. When we got home and started serving it I realized there wasn't a single white piece in the bucket. I could maybe understand It if I hadn't taken it back to them to fix it, but I just don't understand how you can work in a place that really only serves chicken and not know how to tell what piece is what. Normally I have a really good experience here. Went through the drive-through last night and ordered the number 12, the non-spicy chicken sandwich meal. Got my food and got home. The fries were great, the soda was terrible as the syrup needed to be changed. The sandwich they gave me was a spicy instead of a regular which I cannot eat. Kentucky Fried Chicken is based out of Louisville, KY, and they're famous for the Original Recipe that was thought up by Colonel Sanders. The menu offers chicken (buckets), chicken tenders, popcorn nuggets, sandwiches, sides (mashed potatoes, cole slaw, mac & cheese, wedges, etc.), 'Classics' (the Famous Bowl and the Pot Pie), and combinations/$5 deals. The hubs and I drove down to this location as we found out that they had a daily buffet! Once you pay, you receive a plate to get your pickings - there were some Original, Extra Crispy, Grilled, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, cheese orzo, some okra bites, biscuits, and some pudding. We were a little disappointed as there weren't any baked beans or the mac n' cheese; the buffet also was not replenished quickly, so there was constantly a line of patrons waiting for the items. More of the pieces are the breast, so I would have loved to see more of them wings (which is usually about 2 per refill, so if you're lucky, you're able to grab those!). Each time you go up, you also have to request a new plate, but you have to stand in line for those who order to dine-in/to-go. Note that drinks are included in the buffet price. I tend not to want to piggyback onto other reviews, but Jack F's review on 2/16/2011 hit the mark with his rather complete review. I will add in our experiences and other thoughts. First off, we went to our first AYCE KFC in Warsaw NC on the way home to Toronto back in 2009. However, this location is our destination for lunch on day two of our annual trek to NC from Toronto - we have been there in 2010 and 2011 and already are getting in shape to hit this place in just over a month. I screwed up with the GPS in 2010 and hit all three KFCs in Fredericksburg - but this one is the only AYCE. Anyways, what can I say? We are deprived in Canada - and yeah, this place must be good if we actually PLAN on this as a destination during our 16hr trek. Second due to the nature of fries sitting there for a period of time, they do not put them out at the buffet - you have to ask (found that out in 2010). Last year our two kids preferred not to get the buffet (their loss - less money; less food). I do know that one of them got a side of hot macaroni -- and that too is included in the buffet - but you have to ask for it. In other words - when in doubt ASK. I do recall in 2009, the Warsaw location had grilled chicken (the rage at the time) but I don't remember seeing it at this location as per Jack. Third - yes they want you to use new plates - don't really have a problem with that - it implies good control to keep things "clean" (ie if you bring a half full plate of something and it accidentally tips over into the buffet ...). Many sides available - take a little of each to see what you like the best. Various desserts but the killer is the apple pie. It doesn't come with a bottom crust but man it comes so close to the apple pie's you used to get at Mickey D's years ago - when they deep fried them v. bake them. I shouldn't but boy I hit that apple pie a few times. Overall great value. The food has been good, hot and fresh. My wife would be the first to complain if it wasn't. She just LOVES the mashed potatoes and gravy with at least two helpings. Bathrooms are up to snuff and after going a few times I actually recognize the employees. One of them, who goes around the tables collecting trays, was very helpful last year. Recommended - and will provide an update after our trip. Update for June 28/12 - returned here again this year on the way to our summer destination and had zero complaints. This year saw the same woman cleaning trays - she cleaned ours and we like the place and staff so much we tipped her. I even took the snapshot for the store front. I love their Ice Tea - warm-to-hot. I mix it a bit between unsweetened and sweetened - very good. Shout out to Norman H - I hear you! From Toronto to SE of North Carolina - Fredericksburg has the cheapest gas! read more

Went here for the first time after seeing this whole chicken sandwich craze going around. KFCs spicy chicken sandwich is a good choice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Returned home and found part of my order was missing, so we called them up to see what we could do. They took our name and number down to comp us and we returned promptly. We are extremely appreciative for what they brought out to us and if that's all that ever happens (seems often in the fast food business), "it's just a simple thing for your "special" self to check" says the wife. I just left this restaurant with my mom and her boyfriend. I had the worse experience ever since I have gone there. We got the buffet which was in my opinion over price for the quality of food we received. The food was cold all together. the chicken was dry and was so salty I couldn't stand it. I will never get the peach cobbler. The dough was under cook, peaches were mushy, and looked like it had been sitting there for over an hour. When we went to complain about the food the manger try to play it down and didn't want to refund our money at first. But after a few minutes we got a full refund and left. I enjoy the buffet at KFC but the last 2 experiences have been less than favorable. 1) The chicken on the buffet is never stocked very we ll. I like chicken wings but they are hard to find. The chicken will sit there until the last few pieces are left before anyone replenishes it with new pieces. 2) The food is not hot..the mashed potatoes and gravy are always borderline cold. 3) The biscuits are inedible because they are so hard and dried up. I usually dine around 5pm as most people do and I will give it one more try and see if things have been improved. The afternoon/evening workers are more concentrated on playing around with each other instead of customer service. I guess someone responsible needs to be in charge. read more

$7.95 KFC buffet?! Wow, we definitely had to stop by! Fredericksburg is an area with ample choices, and gas is cheaper there - which is why we drove by it. Anyway, $7.95 for a KFC buffet?!? Flipping amazing value. ALL the chicken you desire. Biscuits, desserts, and most all of their sides are available. You have to go up and ask for a new plate every time you go up to the counter. They also said if we wanted mac and cheese, it's available - just have to ask for it. They also have a drive-thru, obviously not for the buffet, but for a quick drive-by. This restaurant was pretty good today! The best part of the entire meal was the attendant taking care of the floor and trash, she was courteous, professional and pretty neat to talk to. The cashier was professional and has been the only person to see my son as the child he is without me having to tell them. He's 5'1" but he's still a child and it was nice that I didn't have to say "you charged me for 2 adults but my son is a child" The food was pretty good, the green beans were most watery and the white gravy was just weird but tasted great. Literally the worst KFC I've ever been to. First I tried to order a 3 piece meal but was told there was a wait for that so I ordered a tenders meal. After ordering my food I was told to pull up and wait because my fries were cooking (no one ever said there was a wait for fries otherwise I wouldn't have waited and I would have kept my money). So I pulled up and waited....and waited....and waited. I waited for my food for another 10 minutes. So I finally went inside the store to get my food and it's sitting right on the counter. I normally love this place and I hate to bash them.. But I went by for lunch on my very short break and grabbed a famous bowl (one of my favorite options when I don't have a lot of time). Took a few bites before settling down at work, the chicken wasn't cut up as small as normal so I was a little perturbed by that, but when I bit into a bandaid I was furious. Granted, I should have called but I didn't have time to do that. Instead I was just grossed out and disappointed in my local establishment. This is one of the best experiences I have had a fast food restaurant. I visited March 11th '18. The food was fresh and hot. I had the buffet. The dining room was clean. Most noticeable was the staff. They all seems to be happy to work here. The gentleman that took my order (wearing the green hat) seemed to know all the regulars and really and stressed in making sure everyone's food was correct and fresh. This is a review of the KFC buffet, pretty sure this is the only one around. Probably one of the most unhealthy experiences of my life, and certainly the least classy date we've ever been on, but delicious! So the buffet is set up in front by the counter. You order the buffet, its around 7 bucks and comes with a drink cup you can refill too. They give you a plate and a spork (although you have to keep asking for new plates which is awkward.) Fried chicken kept coming out fresh and hot. Plenty of breast pieces which kept her happy. I think i had 7 pieces. (they don't offer the grilled or popcorn chicken though, also no potato wedges). I tried small portions of some other things - the mashed potatoes and greens were tasty (they have vinegar packets for the greens). They have biscuits and decent gravy for them too and green beans. The broccoli and cheese was not good, cheese was too watery. Lots of deserts - an apple pie type dessert, pudding, bread pudding, and this interesting cottage cheese textured stuff that tasted like key lime pie. I went into this establishment...the cashier was rude and had the need for a shower. He huffed when my 2 year old changed his mind about the side he wanted. We weren't told weather to take a seat our wait for our food...so we went to find a table. We had to clean our own table off. I look up to see if our food is ready and it is! But the cashier was helping someone else whom because of where our food was placed was now leaning over top of our food. While we are eating a group of collage kids comes in. The employees are now no longer "busy" they are more worried bout if these guys are sharing good then cleaning the restaurant. If something doesn't change I'll have to report them to the health department. read more
