My two adult sons and one of their girlfriends, were in from out of town, and we decided to take them to Cowboy Jack's for lunch. My oldest son ordered a steak and bleu cheese salad, that he loved. One of our party ordered a pesto tavern flatbread, another ordered a turkey, bacon, avocado wrap with onion rings, and my husband and I ordered the same thing (to split). We've never really had a bad meal there, but we've always stuck with tavern flatbreads, or burgers with fries, or tots. Apparently ordering the wrap was the worst thing you can order off the menu. First off, the wrap was filled with about a teaspoon of canned meat. It didn't taste/look like Turkey; it looked like canned chicken. Secondly, it was so minimal, that I was able to hold all the 'meat' between my thumb and forefinger, from one half of the wrap. It was filled with lettuce. The staff didn't see a problem with this, and the waitress was nonchalant, and a bit condescending about the situation. The wrap was wretched, and we didn't even finish it. I requested something else from the menu, but instead, they decided to just add a little extra "turkey" to my wrap, and send it back with the cold onion rings. They didn't honor my request for something else, then had the audacity to just send back the wrap with cold onion rings. When the check came, I noticed that they charged us the full price of $3 for the 5 or so onion rings that we got, even though we subbed the rings for chips. We weren't told that there was an 'upcharge' for onion rings, but even if you charge an 'upcharge', it shouldn't be the full price you'd pay, if you got them as an additional side. They're $3 if you just order a side of rings on their own. If you are subbing them out for a meal, they should be a little less ($1-$2); but not full price. If they're going to charge full price, then just give me the chips that come with the meal, at no additional charge, and we'll still order the rings on the side, since we're paying full price for them anyway. The menu does not state that the wrap comes with chips, the waitress didn't tell us, but we assumed it came with a side, because the menu DOES state, "sweet potato fries for an up charge". It doesn't say, "All sandwiches served with chips, but any other side can be substituted at FULL price". Insanity. In the end, the manager did in fact remove the additional charge for the onion rings from our checks, but I think we're done with Cowboy Jack's. I was very displeased with the service. I had to go back and forth with the waitress, request a manager, then go back and forth with her. It seemed that they lacked the ability to understand what I was conveying. It was more trouble than it was worth. If you do go, I would suggest, steer clear of the wraps; stick with the bar food, and you'll be fine. Also, they served beer in plastic soda cups, which degrades the flavor and experience. They charge more if you don't pay by cash, and they played Christmas music while we were there! Not only is it May, you can't even say that it's "Christmas in July". I couldn't make this up if I tried. It was a very odd experience.

    Perfect!

The food is always great! Fantastic variety of appetizers, burger special every Wednesday . The service is fast, and friendly too. Cowboy Jack's is a laid - back atmosphere, as you would expect for casual dining. There's always something happening, no matter what night of the week. Do yourself a favor, if you haven't tried them yet- do it! You won't be disappointed!!!

What an unexpected surprise! I have seen mixed reviews, but I can only comment based on my experience. We had a great experience. I ordered the Fire burger, my son ordered the kids hotdog, and our friend ordered the Ruben. My son had waffle fries with his hotdog, the Ruben and Fire Burger both came with chips, however we opted to upgrade to the Tots. The food was all cooked to our specifications and tasted great! The service was on point, fast, attentive, and friendly. We never had to "look for our server" she was on top of things and refilled our drinks and addressed our needs before we had to ask. At first we were a bit apprehensive about the biker bar vibe and if kids were allowed in, but soon discovered it is just a cool bar and grill and yes kids are welcome. The ambiance is casual there are a lot of high top tables, but there are some booths and low top tables as well.

I don't rate restaurants one star often but there was nothing redeeming about my first experience at Cowboy Jack's. The food was barely edible. We started off with an order of calamari. The calamari was chewy and soggy. Our entrees weren't any better. The smoked brisket sandwich had no flavor and the bun it came out on was rock solid. The patty melt also had no flavor and the patty was burnt. All that you could taste was char. The fries and tater tots from both entrees came out cold as well. The service was just as bad as the food. Our server barely paid any attention to us. We never got any refills on our drinks and the server always seemed to disappear. I would not recommend coming here. The food and service need an overhaul.

The food here is really good. The portion size is more than enough to fill you up. The service is really good. The ambiance is western. It is a biker bar, inside it is a family environment. Everyone I have met is very friendly. The club sandwich is pretty big. The photos are below. If you go between 3pm and 6pm it is happy hour every day. There are a lot of items half priced during this time.

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

We were able to order whatever drink we wanted on the menu. For food, they brought trays out buffet style. We tried a variety of things. The star of the show was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked to perfection and had a great sweet sauce. I enjoyed the salad too. They also brought out wings, mini burgers, mini fried chicken sandwiches, and tuna. Some were overcooked, but the flavor was nice. The seating was a bit awkward for a group our size in the private room, but we made it work. It was nice how casual it was.

We were seated right away on their patio, which was very cozy with heaters and fire pits. The menu sounded great and they had a lot of featured brunch items that were a little fancier. The sandwich was basic but tasty, and adding hot sauce made it even better. I loved the cheesy grits - they were more coarse than other grits I've had but I still really liked them. I had a few bites of Nate's sandwich, the New Jersey sunrise (Taylor ham, home fries, two fried eggs and American cheese), which was very hearty and tasty. Service was decent, they were pretty busy so we did have to ask for a few things, but we had a nice time. I'm putting this spot on my list of places to revisit when we're back in the area.

The brunch items we got were all amazing! Their sausage gravy is made with chorizo, which adds a very nice, smokey touch to the typical biscuits and gravy and it came out with a pair of perfectly poached eggs. Their burger was beautiful and perfectly made and the beef was a very tasty, nice blend. The buns was incredible! Their fried chicken sandwich was excellent as well.
