I received great customer service today from Sandra at the drive thru. We made an order on Uber eats , and waited over more than an hour due to the inconvenience of Uber . So, we decided to drive to kfc instead and informed Sandra about the situation . We ended up canceling the order through Uber eats since we were already at the restaurant and Sandra was very thoughtful and gave us two extra sides even tho this was not their fault . I've been to this location many many times before. When I order,I call ahead so they could prepare. ( I usually order 60 wings at a time). Try to call but they didn't answer. So my daughter ordered online $60 worth wings, 4 legs and couple of the sides. while she was doing that, I guess she mistakenly clicked the optional Nashville sauce thought it's on the side. But when she got there to pick it up she realized that sauce wasn't on the side it was poured over the wings. My daughter explained and said sorry that if she can get the regular wings instead. My daughter told me that the lady at the counter was nice and trying to help. But the manager at the store was nasty and rude. The skins and ends of wings & legs have the stench of raw chicken meat which stuck in my nose and back of my throat for an hour after eating a piece of wing & leg, it's extremely disgusting. I tossed the rest in trash. It's a clear indication that the meat is not fresh at all, makes you wonder about their storage and cooking processes and if all food safety measures are actually enforced. I decided to try this KFC location because we weren't a fan of the other location in the Burger King shopping center in Diamond Bar. This location is further than the other one but what the heck. The building looks nicer than the other and when we went inside, we were disappointed that the A/C wasn't working. It was a hot day and we were hoping the A/C would cool us off. Anyways, we had a BOGO free coupon for their 2 piece boneless chicken so it cost me $5.44 for both meals which is a plus. The cashier let us know that they were cooking it fresh and that it would be out in five minutes. Once we got the food, it was extremely hot and took awhile before we could eat it. We both love our food piping hot and were extremely satisfied from the heat of the food. One of the workers checked on us to make sure we were satisfied with the food which we were. I was surprised by it because at fast food locations that I've been to, they never come out to check which is another plus. If we ever crave KFC again, this is the place I'll be going to. I went thru the drive-thru and ordered an 8pc meal with sides. I am heading north, so I planned to pull off and eat along the way. I happened to pull into the 7 Eleven next door to check my meal. The quality of the food, its temperature, even its packing was horrible. To make matters worse, no napkins, no forks. So I walk inside (btw, I went thru the drive-thru to avoid this) and I asked for napkins and forks. The counter person recognized me from the 5min earlier. Half jokingly, I asked if they typically gave napkins and forks for meals. She said "no, only when people ask." I was so in shock my her answer, I didn't realize she gave me 5 forks and about an inch worth of napkins. Way to go franchise owner. You're training them well. I went around dinnertime and there was only about two tables full of people in the whole entire restaurant. I decided to get my order to go. In and out of there within 5 minutes. Prompt service. Accepted coupons. Plenty of parking. Accepts credit cards. A thing that I noticed that was different from past time I've been to KFC and ordered to go was that they now used reusable containers for the sides.
