Seeing how low this location is scored is really surprising based on our visit today. To start, we were greeted by Tirrea before we even made it to the counter. I never go into a fast food restaurant with high expectations but I can't think of any other time I've visited a fast food location where just based on the interaction with the cashier, I knew I'd be leaving a rave review! She was so polite and friendly and focused on the task at hand with enthusiasm, not the typical (I'd rather be some place else) attitude more commonly seen. Our food came out super quick and it was DELICIOUS. I requested extra crispy chicken and it did not disappoint. Great flavor, moist and perfectly cooked. The fries were delicious and the waffle had great flavor and consistency! The portion size of this meal was perfect too. Yes they had ice for the drinks and I didn't see any issue with cleanliness. Although, in general, when it comes to cleanliness, I also keep in mind that the patrons at these establishments are also partially responsible for the status of cleanliness. read more

None of the bone-in chicken ever tastes right; not even close. It is like it is missing most of the seasonings. Also, the extra-crispy is never CRISPY, it is gooey & mushy, it isn't crispy in any way. We had to throw it out, it wasn't edible. The chicken sandwiches have been the only things good & edible from this place. But the last two times I went there alone, I got the chicken sandwich combo with potato wedges... one time, the wedges were just COLD and HARD; they were many hours old. I asked for something else... they were out of mashed potatoes & gravy, so they gave me fries. The fries were COLD. The next time... AND THE VERY LAST TIME EITHER OF US WILL THROW OUR MONEY AWAY HERE was tonight. I got a chicken sandwich combo... with wedges.... the wedges were COLD and VERY HARD. I didn't even bother... the sandwich was barely warm... and on the third bite, I bit into raw chicken. I asked for a refund, but they said they can't give refunds for mobile orders --- I know this can't be true. Anyway, I showed them the raw sandwich and they didn't seem to care at all. Waited for 10 minutes standing at counter watching elbows move around behind the food prep counter. I think there were three people working the whole place, and two of them made eye contact with me but said nothing and continued to hide behind the food prep area. No "Hello." No "sorry, we are not currently taking orders inside;" (even though there were two guys sitting at a table eating food in the dining room.) Just a sign taped to the counter saying, "The dining room is closed. Please use the drive through." Ok-- I'm a truck driver. You want me to bring my 60' long, 14' tall semi around the building, you're going to need to build a bigger parking lot. COVID is OVER, people. It's time to reopen if you want to do any business. Why I thought KFC would taste different here than anywhere else, I do not know. The chicken tasted the same average way but it was fun to say I ate some in Kentucky! The store is a KFC and taco bell combo and the employees are quick and friendly. The real issue as we stood in line really was how slow the customers were at ordering. A few people stood in line and got to the order counter still indecisive. With that said, I definitely don't think the employees are at fault here. We knew what we wanted, we ordered quickly, and not 5 minutes later our order was bagged and ready to go. We ate in the car as the place was pretty tiny and people were queuing everywhere or slowly moving about the condiments/drink area. The store itself was pretty clean, the toilet was okay considering the amount of traffic they have. This place is right off the interstate so it's a great spot to stop at if you're passing by. KFC was really good I want to try it again. I ordered the chicken bucket, mashed potatoes with gravy and Mac N' Cheese I think it was really good but the mashed potatoes were a little lumpy. There were no potatoes or gravy, very little of what we ordered.. when husband took it back, he as upset but the night manager made it even worse. The other reviewers are right, this place is really bad, even for fast food. We stopped at this KFC/Taco Bell combo restaurant for lunch on a cross-country road trip. Long story short: The line was extremely long, they got our order wrong, the food took 10 minutes to come out, it was very stale and the taco shells tasted like cardboard, there were more toppings in the wrappers than in the actual tacos or burritos, all counters and tables were sticky, and the soda machine was mixing the syrup wrong so it tasted horrible. How the cashier forgot to ring up and include two chicken burritos when we just had a lengthy conversation on customizing them, I have no idea. She had even gone to speak to the cook to tell them how we wanted them since she couldn't find the buttons. She didn't know how to use the computer and couldn't do extra sauce or change the chicken from shredded to original like I order it at every other Taco Bell I've been in from Washington state to here. We stopped here for a quick dinner. The front doors were not closed and the place felt like they had the heat on. 90° outside and inside. Started by going into the woman's room. There was toilet paper covered with urine stuck to the floor in the bathroom. The paper towels were overflowing in the trashcan. Ordered our meal. We received coleslaw that was slimy and obviously spoiled. Went up to return it. No one ever apologized for it. They brought me out another coleslaw. I wonder if maybe the refrigeration was out. If you're looking for a fried chicken place in western Kentucky, please for the love of God, keep driving. This place was awful and the poor Colonel whose face is embossed on everything would be disappointed. The chicken was dry and was extremely small. Overall it was horrible and arguably the worst I've ever had, at a fast food restaurant or otherwise. Also we needed to ask for more gravy for our potatoes. They were too thick and lacked any flavor. Disgusting. I had a bad feeling it would be dirty just walking in based on the first impression. Reluctantly we decided to stay. There were two other guests and 9 employees, yet there was only one somewhat clean table to eat at. The floors were sticky and gross. Trash and food everywhere. Greasy Fingerprints everywhere. We had to exchange our biscuits because they were too hard to bite into. There were 6 cars outside waiting for food (3 pulled forward which explains why one worker kept having to go outside to deliver food curbside). We won't be back. How they scored a 96 is beyond me. This restaurant couldn't possibly be worse unless it was closed for health violations. A combo KFC/Taco Bell right off interstate 24 East. We pulled in shortly after the lunch crowd rush, and ordered 2 meals. Pretty simple order, but the person at the cash register couldn't get either of them right on the first two tries. Although the menu doesn't list the sides, we could see them plainly from the register area. Despite that, the register person said they didn't offer string beans. Finally, after showing her where they were stacked, she said oh, those are green beans. ALL the sides are pre-packaged, and lukewarm. The potatoes had very little gravy. How long the beans had been sitting out was anyone's guess. The chicken was dry tasting and like cardboard, a surprise given that it held more grease than any KFC we'd ever visited. So greasy, in fact, that drops of it fell onto the plates and pooled when we lifted our pieces. On to the bathroom. The ladies room was disgusting. There was NO DOOR on the handicapped stall. Nothing. Not even a sheet. If you were in a wheelchair, you'd need a friend to stand guard in order to have any privacy at all. There was toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor. No soap. We complained about all these things, and one of the staff brought some replacement soap in. We were told they'd been "renovating" the bathrooms and were waiting for a replacement door. That didn't explain the urine stains all over the toilets, including on the outside bottoms. It also didn't explain the missing tiles with exposed wire hanging down from them. To cap it off, they'd never heard of wet naps or wipes. In a KFC. Avoid this place like the plague. You'd be lucky not to catch it there. read more
