I went into this KFC to pick up lunch today. I had the misfortune of having to put my order (no employee assistance in sight)in the kiosk after I suffered through all of that, the credit card reader(no option to pay cash at the counter) did not work. I thought an employee could help me pay, nope she tried taking my order all over again, news flash her price was more than the kiosk offered me so she went to get a supposed manager. The manager took forever to get to me so I put my order in the other kiosk on the right side... it took my payment but no receipt came out. I went back to the counter to get a copy of my receipt to be asked "if I had paid for my order." When she realized I had paid the manager then told me she Can Not print me a receipt & walked away. So needles to say I did not get a receipt for todays purchase. I would give them a NO star rating but the system will not let me. We will not be going to this KFC again. One of the worst service experiences I've had in the Valley. I placed my order and waited patiently, even watching others who arrived after me get served first. I had already paid and was standing in plain view, but somehow got skipped. This KFC must be new because it is hard to find on YELP. Got it and hoped we would not regret stopping to get lunch from a long 1-10 road trip. The Cracker Barrel is in the same big parking lot. Going in was a nice cool off from the hot AZ weather. We saw one patron waiting for his order. It is painstakingly being made, sandwich by sandwich by a young chef who had said that he will be right with us. The large to-go order was finally completed, and the one person left with a grin. We get the 2 and the 3 chicken lunch boxes. The choices of sides were mashed potatoes and gravy and some sweet corn. We got to help ourselves to the drinks. I was happy with the greasy classic chicken pieces, but I only wished for another biscuit. The KFC was a cool rest stop, but the code to the RR does not work, and nobody really cared. If you value your health, DO NOT go the KFC on Watson in Buckeye, AZ!! I love other KFC's but this one is literally the bottom of the barrel! I entered the KFC at 682 S. Watson Rd, Buckeye, AZ 85326. I was VERY disappointed and appalled at the store and the workers. I ordered my food and paid for it. I then noticed that none of the employees had hairnets or used gloves. The dining area and windows look like they haven't been cleaned in months! I looked around this store, and it was disgusting. I got the food home, and the chicken was undercooked and greasy. I have NEVER been so disappointed in a restaurant, if you want to call it that, in my life! The only positive thing about this entire experience was that the person who took my order was very nice. Stopped in for lunch. Kind of wish I didn't. First issue, walked inside and went to the bathroom to wash my games before I order. Well you can't because you need a code. Ugh. Ok I'll order my food. So I ordered #9 combo with 3 strips and requested coleslaw instead of the fries. Dine in. Well the bathroom was filthy go figure. Was able to wash my hands though soap and hand dryer all good. Come back and my food is on the counter in a togo box. Fill my drink try and find a clean table to sit down at. Yep you guessed it several tables with trash and grease spots on them. Open my box and what do you know. My order is wrong. Really people. They gave me a #3 a 3 piece chicken. They did get the coleslaw right. So wait for someone to come back to the counter. You got it they've disappeared. Ugh it's hot and I don't feel like fighting this battle. I give up waiting and go sit down. One customer comes in goes to the counter and waits. No one says anything or shows up. After. Few minutes he just walks out. 2nd customer shows ip and gets noticed. He orders dine in and gets served Togo. He shakes his head and sits down after grabbing a wad of napkins to clean his table. What's frustrating too is I paid for a more expensive meal without realizing it. Their mistake has cost me more money and time because I can't get their attention. I realize this all sounds minuscule and petty, because I actually wound up paying for the meal I was served. I remember as a kid that mom and dad would pick up a bucket of chicken from KFC and we would all enjoy a quality product, prepared with care, for a reasonable cost. But that was 57 years ago and things change. Today, there are no buckets of chicken anymore. The quality isn't there, and the care taken is non-existent. I had not eaten a KFC meal in a couple decades when I thought I'd try their newer chicken sandwich here on Watson Road. What a mistake. There was no one in the store and I was the only one in the drive through. KFC advertises that their chicken sandwich's are cooked to order. I placed my order and drove up to the window to find a staffer holding a bag with my Sandwitch. Wow! Did they cook that using the power of the Sun? I paid and took my lunch. I took the sandwich out only to find something that had been assembled so poorly it looked as if it had been stepped on! I'm a good cook. 35-years working in fire stations and cooking taught me that visual presentation is half battle when it comes to appetizing meals. This was a definite fail. Next, still wondering how someone could cook this sandwich to order I realized the the collapsed bun was because the sandwich had been previously cooked and the entire sandwich microwaved!!! WTF!!! To make things worse, the spicy chicken was SO spicy it was all but In edible. I grew up in San Diego eating great Mexican food. The hotter the better. But this sandwich was a cayenne pepper bomb. No flavor. Just hot. To say I won't be going back in an understatement.
