Been going to KFC for years with my family. Always loved it. Except today, April 11 at 1:00, at this place. This particular restaurant wouldn't take my order. They wanted me to use some machine to order. I couldn't figure out how to use it so I asked for assistance. I was told I would have to figure it out. I tried. I asked nicely again for assistance to order through the machine. They weren't going to have that. And they wouldn't take my order at the counter. All I wanted to do was order some chicken meals for my family. They wouldn't have it, because I couldn't figure out the machine. So I went to Big Guys burgers and fries. If you took more time to cook food fresh to order and trashed food that has been sitting under the heat lamp sooner, it would make a night and day difference! The service was a complete disaster. We had missing sauces, wrong gravy size, and fries that tasted stale. To top it off, their drink machine was busted, so no large Pepsi and the staff was rude about it. I ordered a couple of chicken pot pies online. The KFC website/app gave me a pickup window half an hour into the future. I waited 30 minutes, got a message from the app saying my food was ready, and showed up during my pickup window, but my food wasn't ready. I spent five minutes trying to flag down an employee behind the counter, (there was nobody at the register) to ask where my food was. When I was finally able to speak with someone they said "Pot pies take, like, 20-25 minutes to cook." So I had to sit in the lobby for an additional half hour while they cooked my food. Right after the store opens, I went to the drive thru and ordered my usual. 5 fill-ups. The service was lightning fast. I suspect that they were heating up the chicken instead of frying a new batch. Well, after not having stepped in a KFC for about 12 years, we have ordered twice from this KFC in Bountiful, UT. And twice, they have shorted us on our bucket of chicken - both times our family buckets were short one piece. That wouldn't be a big deal, but the wings and drumsticks in the buckets were TINY, so when you're missing an additional piece for a quick meal for your family, you really miss it. I think this will be our last visit to this one or any other KFC. The original recipe would still hold up if it were thicker and cooked to a crisp on the pieces. As it is, the breading is thin and the skin is too soft - gross! On the bright side, our little dog got a treat when we cut up all of the soggy skin and dumped it in her bowl - she's definitely a fan! I gave this restaurant 2 stars because it's clean, but that may all it has going for it. KFC used to have something, I don't know, the original recipe, and crunchy recipe, and the sides had flavor, especially the cole slaw. Out of all my years of eating fast food, this is by far one of the most run down and dirty facilities I have EVER been in. It smells putrid and there is dirty liquid on the floor. Not to mention the customer service was awful, we walked in being the only people in the facility and waited at least 5-7 minutes before someone even came to the front. When someone finally came to the front she was having a conversation with a co-worker. Every single table was dirty inside to eat at and ended up having to wipe down my own table. Well once again, I get what I deserve for walking through the door. This place is horrible. The service is horrible for my experience. I'm sure other people are going to say it's OK for me. It was horrible. The floor was soaking wet with. I don't know what problem the coleslaw was as dry as a popcorn fart I guess they don't know how to mix it when it's just been sitting there for 12 hours, the chicken stunk like chicken the best part about my meal was the drink because the employees didn't have to touch it. I asked my wife if I could put in a request to never come back here again please I'm begging please don't make me come back here. Bountiful, Utah KFC. March 12,2023. I clicked on the menu tab on the internet. The menu listed 8 piece chicken bucket for $10.00 and 8 piece chicken tenders for $10.00. I went through their drive through and placed the order. when I got home I saw my receipt stated $40.00 instead of $20.00. I called and was told it was an online special only. The menu did not state online orders only. I was told I could come back. I went back the next day w/receipt. The district representative told me they could not refund the difference. He stated the store does not produce the ads. I asked if he read menu on the internet. he said No. He said corporate does the marketing. He basically blamed the corporation and did not take any responsibility For my issue. I did register a complaint with the corporation. Received email acknowledging they received the complaint. KFC chicken was a summer staple growing up but as the brand struggles and tries to find cost saving measures, I find I don't enjoy it near as much any longer....or maybe it is just this location. First, every order has at least one mistake. Second, it now appears that as part of their latest cost saving measure, they no longer include condiments, including butter for the biscuits, unless you specifically ask...this in addition to their previous cost saving measure of not including napkins or silverware. For feeding a big group, KFC is still a nice option, as Chic-fil-a doesn't have a "bucket" of chicken, but unless KFC makes some changes soon, I will find other options that provide better service and food. read more
