It's been years since we have been to a KFC, and there are reasons below why we will never go again. Ordered on the app at 1:24, pull up to the window, and the employee goes. we have a 40-minute wait and 25 orders in front of you. I said That's fine, just refund my money that I paid on the app. And he says he can't do that. I asked for a manager who asked what our order was for. She said that won't be a problem let me do your order really quickly. Very nice of her. Thank you but why is there a40 minute wait and nobody here?? This is a split location with Long John Silvers. As to the King of fried chicken meal buckets overall performance I'm comfortable in saying it's topa neer top notch, good eating and a VERY welcoming atmosophere where attention to detail, customer service and cleanliness (rarities in the fast food industry) are taken seriously . If you need a good meal that won't take you by the wallet and shake you and happen to love chicken this is Deffinitly the place for you. It is however a little odd with it being a combined franchise establishment and at times it can negatively impact food service. I went to the counter and ordered my "to go" lunch which was the 3 pc. box lunch. When I got back to my office and opened the box the bottom of the box was coated with brown cooking oil. The chicken was drenched in it. The color of the chicken made me think that they took chicken from yesterday and re-fried it. I've been here 3 times before and each time was less than stellar. If we could give this location a -10 we would!!! Do not eat here, and if you are thinking of going through drive-through, DO NOT DO IT!! Go somewhere else!!! My wife and I went to the Long John Silver / KFC restaurant located at 4126 W Main Street Rd, Batavia, NY 14020 on September 14th at 9:43 pm. The employee took our order at drive-through, then took our money at the window and instructed us to pull off to the side, behind a car that went through drive-through a couple minutes in front of us. We ordered a L1 Fish dinner and a K8 Chicken finger basket. After 15 minutes, I backed up to the drive-through window and knocked to get an employee to respond and an update on our order. The girl that took our order said "we had to drop your order so it's cookin" before we could even say that it had been 15 minutes since we placed our order! It took 21 minutes before receiving our food and as the employee handed us our food she said here you go, turned to employees in the back of the restaurant and yelled "now we closed!" My wife and I pulled to an adjacent parking lot to have our food and immediately noticed several issues with our order. For starters, ALL of the French Fries were ice, ice cold. My wife was missing her sides of mashed potatoes, cole slaw, there was no tarter sauce, and no sauces for my wifes chicken which she requested. It also looked as if the meals were thrown inside the to-go boxes and shaken. So, at 10:04 we pulled back up to the drive through and strangely enough the employee working drive-through asked us if she could take our order when they should be closed. I indicated that we were missing several items from our order and our fries were cold. The employee laughed and stated that "she was wondering why there was sides sitting at the drive-through window" and said the "fries are cold because they had turned off their fryers". So, they knowingly sold us iced cold fries!! At this point, my wife and I thought we were participating in some type of shocking hidden video show, but the reality is this restaurant is unbelievably mismanaged and neglected. Whoever owns this restaurant is not engaged with the operation and has completely given up. There is no consistency, customer focus, quality in product or speed in service, which is something my wife and I have never experienced in our entire lives. Wait, it gets better! When we asked why we were served cold fries the employee says "well, you came through drive-through at 10pm and we were closed". I responded that the receipt states 9:43pm and we needed to wait 21 minutes to get our food. Also, we double-checked our receipt and the employee's name listed on the top of the receipt says "Shameaka". When the employee finally handed us our sides and sauces she did not apologize but said that the customers in the car in front of us yelled at her for taking so long. The employee used vulgarity in describing her interaction with the prior customer, which was shocking and completely inappropriate. Ultimately, we only ate about 10% of the food as the fries were ice cold, as were the mashed potatoes, the biscuits were as hard as rocks and my pieces of fish tasted like they were cooked and re-dropped into a warm fryer to reheat them. They were disgusting and saturated in oil. We spent $22.86 on food that wasn't worth $1, had a terrible experience, wasted 21 minutes in drive-through as well as the additional 5 minutes we spent going back for our sides & sauces that were left out of our order. The next morning I was sick from eating at this restaurant. Following up on our horrific experience, we called the manager (Jesse) the next day at the location in Batavia and after we shared our experience, she apologized. However, she indicated that in order to receive a refund we would need to drive 45 miles (one way) to get a refund in person. Jesse indicated that she could also send out a voucher but my wife and I were not interested in eating at either restaurant after that experience. Jesse indicated that she would escalate the circumstance to the Divisional Manager named Derek. Jesse suggested we call corporate to see what they could do to get us a refund since our experience and food was terrible. It's been a week and we've not received a response from the Divisional Manager Derek. We waited a couple days, called corporate KFC and spoke to a rep that listened to our experience, indicated we were calm considering the circumstances but again, could not issue us a refund over the phone. The rep indicated she would escalate but we have not received any follow-up communication or resolution from either KFC or Long John Silver leadership over a week later. We sent a similar message to KFC, Long John Silver, posted here on Yelp and are considering filing a complaint with the local NYS Department of Health given one of us got very sick after eating a small portion of the food. Again, we highly recommend NOT eating at this KFC/Long John Silver location ever! read more

We pulled up to the drive up at 6:45 and finally placed our order at 6:56 according to the receipt. We paid and we're told to pull up and our food would be brought out when ready. At 7:16 I went inside to ask where are food was and was told to wait my turn in my car by the woman who I assume is a manager. When I said we'd been waiting for 20 minutes she said we had someone not show up so everything is backed up. I get it that being short handed is difficult but the person who took our order and the payment is also the person who I watched bag our order and brought it outside while I counted 5 other employees there? This store is clearly poorly managed and no one even apologized for the delay. When I said they should have at least given us a heads up that it would be a longer than normal delay, she rolled her eyes and said "we have no way of knowing how long it will take to cook the food!" Really? I'm pretty sure anyone who actually cooks has SOME idea how long a piece of fish, fries, a couple of shrimp and hush puppies takes. The food was fine except for the lack of any tarter or cocktail sauces and our drinks were almost gone by the time we finally got our food. drove from the Southtowns to get the buffet today at long john silver's. My 1st piece of fish was Like rubber and cold. But the rest was just as I remembered and the hush puppies are to die for (that's really what I come for). I was surprised that they are not busy being a Sunday and buffet and all but there is only 2 other tables in the dining room occupied and they both have KFC. I just visited the ladies room and decided I can wait til I get home since there is a used tampon on the floor as well as pee on the seats. Gross. Usually whenever I am in the Batavia area I try to make it a point to stop here to get something to eat. I do not stop here for the chicken, I want the fish. It is ashame that the two stores in the Buffalo/Lockport area closed. Service is usually slow, it seems that they have a difficult time in placing orders be it fish or chicken but for me the wait is worth it. You can bet that I will stop by here again when I am in the area. read more
