Rounded the total charge up to $22-even, with a 96¢ donation to the "KFC Foundation," which I now hope is working hard on developing a more logical, faster, and accurate fast food preparation and serving system for all KFC restaurants, and investing in research on how to instill pride, a sense of purpose and worth (and avoiding boredom) in their hourly employees. I have had it with this KFC. We ordered through the app, today is $10 bucket of chicken day, right? I pulled up at exactly my pickup time (7pm) and I had ordered an hour ahead of time. The person at the window told me that they did not have chocolate cake ($7.99 and available on the app) and that they haven't had it in a very long time(?) so I could either "take it up with the app for a refund" or accept something of equal or similar value. At his suggestion, I agreed to a pot pie in place of the cake. When we got home, we found that the entire bucket of chicken was missing. It was also apparently marked as "out of stock" on the app receipt after the fact.....So, I called and of course the phone is either busy or just rings open. I have never been able to get anyone to answer the phone there for anything. It took me an hour of fumbling around on the internet and their website to finally talk to a live person. The first person couldn't help because the store left my order as "pending". They also marked off that they were out of the chicken, but charged me for the full order as if they had it and never said anything to me about there being no chicken. How does KFC run out of chicken at 7pm on a Tuesday night during a regular special? I've seen this with other drive through places - they won't finalize the problem orders but they eventually "time out" and you get charged whatever in a few days or a week. At that time it's too late to do the chargeback. I had 4 different people or bots tell me they couldn't help me until finally getting someone through the AI chatbot on their website. After an hour of wasted time back and forth they agreed to refund me $10.60 for the missing bucket, and gave me 500 points for my trouble. How about being honest with people so they don't make it all the way home starving after a hard day to find that their food's only half there and there's no obvious way to fix it but pure unclear hassle on your part. Terrible. Actually terrible. Here was my experience: My mobile order said it was ready to be picked up, so I went to the drive thru speaker. They said "Thanks for coming. Pull up to the window," so I did. I waited 15 minutes for the person in front to get their order. Then somebody came to the window and asked what I want. I said I had a mobile order that was ready to be picked up and he gave me a weird look and told me one sec. AFTER 15 MINUTES, another lady had come up and said "How can I help you?" ... the first guy completely ignored me. I said the same thing, and then she walks away without helping me again. 5 more minutes go by and she walks by the window and just shrugs and says "It's not ready" Then, I see the first guy walk by the window and scarf down a chicken wing while wearing his food safety gloves... fingers and his mouth and all. This whole time they were just walking around laughing and talking with each other. This location needs to be shut down immediately. I have never been so shocked by a food service experience in my life. I asked him why i would need to do that as they had no line and was not given a response. Worst service you can ever find in a fast food restaurant. Lobby never opens during business hours. Nobody respond to the drive thru station during normal business hours. Never had all the items on their menu available and they have a high chance of messing up with your items if you did get the chance to drive thru. I was saddened when the KFC on Stadium closed down... as it was only 10 minutes from my house... then after they closed, I went on KFC cold turkey, granted I only went there about three times a year.... but for whatever reason... I've been craving KFC for few months... so I made it a point to go there after my workout. Excited, coupon on hand, went to drive-thru... ordered my 12 pc meal with 3 lg sides and 6 biscuits. Pulled up, paid and was told it'd be another two minutes before the chicken is ready... I said no problem... I waited over a year to eat KFC, I can wait 2 minutes. The cashier came back with my chicken and I headed home.. if I could, I would have eaten them in the car, but had to be safe :) Got home only to find out that instead of 12 pieces, they miscounted... yup... one shy... while I wasn't super pissed, I was pissed... man, I waited a year to eat KFC and they shortchanged me with one chicken! What gives!!! I just hope that the employees know how to count past 11 (jk)... I just hope this was a minor mistake... My favorite A2 KFC. The staff is friendly and helpful and the $5 two piece special includes side, cookie, and a drink. You cannot beat that with a stick! One gripe among mostly accolades is the fact that the drink dispenser does not have water nor soda. It's in the back but you have to ask for it (a pain).
