Chicken tenders

They gave us extra food and great customer service. I highly recommend this spot for anyone willing to try something new!!

Hairy chicken wing.

Under new management. It's much worse than before. The service wasn't good before and now it's even worse. All I asked for was some ketchup on the side and I was given attitude. The chicken isn't what it is before either, I come here a lot since it was walking distance from my place. They have a lot more hair/feathers tht wasn't properly plucked. This isn't even a one time thing now but at least 3 times since I decided to make the post. The floor is forever sticky, like it's never been clean. Well, this is old news. The quality of the flavor also dropped. Hard to explain this. But if you been here before know that it's not what it used to be. But if you're a new customer, try it. Maybe you'll like it.

Wings for dinner tonight and they were so good!!!

I tried the chicken wings today and they were delicious!! And as always the customer service is amazing!!

Chicken Marys fish and chips.

Pass it on the road in Ann Arbor, had to stop and check it out. My friend, ordered chicken and I ordered fish and chips, catfish, with lots of fries, tarter sauce and maybe 20 ketchup packets! The fish was crispy and tender, not overcooked, with a good full flavor. The restaurant was just enough space, to order, the person taking the order was friendly, a few other people came in for too orders and we waited for over 10 minutes, was worth the wait. The atmosphere was pleasant for too go orders with a couple tables inside. A very nice place to stop.

8 pcs chicken only

The place is under new ownership and they've upgraded the menu boards with TV's, now take credit cards and even offer delivery through different platforms. This is all nice and all, but after my first experience, don't think I'll be coming back any time soon. Placed an online order, to be picked up later in the day. I got the 8 pcs chicken (mixed), onion rings and twisted fries. I arrived, parked, entered and someone from the kitchen greeted me. I told her that I was here for pickup, told them which platform. Then this dude walks out from the kitchen, looks at the orders on the tables, places two bags on the counter and walks away. Never said, "your are all set" or "here's your order", just placed the bags and walked away. I had to ask if the two bags were my order and if I was all set, simple yes is all I got. Picked up the order, got in my car and drove home. Chicken - they were dried unfortunately. outside was seasoned, but interior of the chicken was bland. Onion Rings - was soggy by the time I got home Twisted Fries - only thing that I enjoyed eating. Couple observations... - the plastic bags were tightened, which trapped the steam inside the bag, which then made the paper box all soggy... - service was mediocre

I ordered the hot chicken on waffles. It came with sweet potato tater tots. Both were pretty flavorful. The hot chicken wasn't as hot as i would have thought though. I have been to Nashville and had hot chicken there and it was HOT! But nonetheless the food was still pretty good. It came with maple syrup to pour on top. Nice place to stop for some carryout food.

Not in the area much but wanted to try this chicken. Wings. Pretty good. I'd definitely eat here regularly.

3.5 Not in the area much but wanted to try this chicken. Got a couple wings. Pretty good chicken. Unique coating. Almost boasted like. I'd definitely eat here regularly. The cheesesteaks look good in the pics. Wanted to try one, but the timing wasn't right when I went. Recommended.

Listen fellow yelpers. If you're ever in the Pittsfield-Ann Arbor area you gotta come and get the best wing dings hands down....... Everything here is made from scratch. Chef Wafik is the new owner...... My new go to spot when I want that homemade taste. Chef Wafik knows his way around that kitchen. I ordered the twenty piece wing dings and a side of mash potatoes and gravy. The chicken was . The mashed potatoes and gravy didn't let the chicken still all the shine. My first taste left me wanting more. If you live 30+ minutes from Wicked Mary's it worth the drive for real for real. You'll smell the delicious aromas greet you before you even enter. Come down and get you a true experience of joy in your mouth. This place gets the MVP of the week from ME!

How is their fish and chips?

Their fish is actually pretty good. Fries-hmmm not so great. But for a small little chicken and fish place all and all the food is worth the visit.

Service was excellent and attentive! I enjoyed the bread service, roadhouse simple salad, French fries, chicken basket with cole slaw and mashed potatoes, and a strawberry specialty cocktail. The breading on the fried chicken was perfection, and the bread AS ALWAYS was delicious. The mashed potatoes and gravy were probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Absolutely holiday home style with great texture. Downsides: too many assorted flying insects on the patio, the pimiento cheese was nearly flavorless, fries were underdone for my liking, and pricing too high and portions too small for the chicken basket.

They took the order, brought the food and never asked if we wanted another drink or refill. Came back at the end for the bill. At the end they gave us a bill and asked for an additional tip even though the 20% was already added. The food was great 17 years ago when I got three meats and two sides for $11:99 or add Mac n cheese for $15.99. Now at $32 with tip and just water, the smoked bbq pulled beef sandwich was just ok, not a big portion by any means and they do not leave the sauces so whatever is on your sandwich is it. The entree came with fries small portion and a Cole slaw. At these prices, I think, I am done with the roadhouse.

I am not a huge fried chicken guy... so this place hasn't really been on my hit list…read more My fiancee however is a huge chicken girl, so for dinner one night she took us to Ma Lou's. Let me tell you how sad I was that I had waited this long to try out the place... we were greeted like we had been there many times. We ordered a ton of food to sample. She got the basic chick with bacon and no mayo, because she can't handle spice. The sandwich was HUGE. She couldn't finish it all in one sitting. But she loved every bite. She actually said she would come back JUST for the sweet potato fries, because they were so good. I got the white trash fries to go with my Mac Smasher... the fries were decent. The Mac Smasher though was amazing. I had my whole double while at the table. I even ordered one 2 weeks later when i left the state as my goodbye meal. We tried the mac and cheese and the collard greens. She said that the mac and cheese was the best she had ever had at a restaurant. Collard greens were tasty and had chunks of meat in it. I tried (the next day mind you, because we were stuffed) some of the wings with their medium sauce. Even reheated they were moist and properly cooked.... This was a 5 star experience, and had a 5 star leftover experience. Amazing all the way around.

Parking is a little challenging during dinner time in this area, but I was there at 4:30, so I found a spot around the corner. Everything is pre-made, and you order at a cafeteria style counter. You can see all the options in front of you. There is fried chicken, fried catfish, ribs, meatloaf, smothered pork chops and I believe a few other entrees. I chose the fried chicken dinner, which comes with 2 sides and cornbread. For sides I ordered the greens and mac & cheese. There were also cabbage, green beans, yams, rice, dressing, and beans. There are no tables, so it is carry out only. The chicken had good flavor. Slightly greasy, but acceptable for fried chicken. It was not super crunchy, as some other fried chicken styles are. The greens were tasty, a little salty. The Mac and cheese was disappointing. Not much flavor. I was also not a big fan of the cornbread. It was a big piece, a little dry. So, this is the first week this place is open, so I am cutting them some slack. My bill was $13.75. It was 3 pieces of chicken (2 thighs and a drumstick). The portions of the sides were generous, and as mentioned earlier, the cornbread was big. I will give them another chance and update my review then.

This is a super late review that has been sitting in my drafts for some unknown reason…read more.. But my girlfriend (who is from Louisiana) stopped in to eat here a couple months back. They had vinyl jazz playing, which i noticed but was second nature to her... We were greeted, told to order from the table, and he would bring it out. We got a whole bunch of stuff to try out... She got catfish and curly fries, which she loved. I got a larger sea food boil with every seasoning, it was great -- a bit small for what i thought the price was but for the taste i'm not complaining. We ordered hush puppies as an appetizer, and i had to hear from her that they were "good" but it's not how she would make them, blah blah blah.... Southern people and their soul food, everyone has a hot take. With that said, she ate most of them. We also had a fried basket appetizer which was catfish nuggets, shrimp, and clams i think -- also very good. Lastly, no picture on this one, but we got a blackened alfredo to go --- and it was also very tasty. We have been back twice since our initial visit. Amazing food, and come to find out the employee that was helping us, was the only one who works there... it was overall impressive, tasty, and we'll be back more.

The jambalaya is vegan until you add meat to it, they have vegan beignets (though they sell out fast, so make sure to place your order early). It's a very cute space with reasonable prices and hope it stays put!
