For starters, let me say that I can't thank PA College Prep in West Covina enough for how they've transformed my son. As parents, my wife and I have always placed a strong emphasis on our son's education; we want him to excel in areas where we've fallen short, and we want him to succeed where we have failed. PA College Prep has given our son a tremendous advantage over every other person his age. Despite the grand aspirations we have for our son, PA College Prep has exceeded our expectations. The proof is in the pudding, and they brought my son's grades up from C's and D's all the way up to straight A's across his entire report card. My wife and I couldn't believe it! We didn't think this was possible, but report cards don't lie. We owe everything to PA College Prep for going the extra mile to give our son the individual attention that he needed. However, improving our son's academic performance was just the tip of the iceberg; PA College Prep improved our son's entire life. In addition to academics, they placed a high priority on teaching morals, how to be respectful, how to be ambitious, how to have the dedication and perseverance to achieve anything, how to have the fortitude to achieve goals despite adversity, and how to be a better person overall. My wife and I noticed this after only a short time of having our son attend PA College Prep. He was changed, and it was a clear difference. There aren't many schools out there that genuinely focus on the aspect of truly "caring" for their students. I've met the owner of the West Covina branch, Kitty Yue, and after only meeting her a couple times, my wife and I could tell that she drew her inspiration from watching her students grow, helping them raise their own bars and having absolute confidence in their abilities. From what I've seen, she chooses her teachers using the highest standards, choosing only those who are willing to go the extra mile to help their students; teachers who demonstrate both a talent for teaching well as well as an aptitude for discerning what each individual student needs to achieve success and be proud of his/her accomplishments. Really amazing staff, truly prepares you for college in the most effective way possible. During my half-year experience of the SAT courses they had offered, I was found more than impressed as the teachers were aware of the academic weaknesses of each student from the multiple grueling practice exams we had to do, and by the next weekend, the teachers had gone through every difficult question thoroughly. In spite of the constant repetition I had experienced every Saturday, I had found my test-taking skills to be improving. I alone had improved from a 1290 on my first model test to ultimately scoring a 1470 on my first SAT exam. Truly, the teachers were very approachable; the math teacher, for example had a rather jubilant personality that had kept the students attentive, as well as a unique, but functional method to teach the students the content they needed to excel on the SAT. Although I found reading and writing to not be my forte, the English teacher was very detailed upon pinpointing my weaknesses and demonstrating methods upon how I can reason between the answer choices in the questions of each passage. His tips most definitely improved upon my test-taking skills and time management in order for me to have more confidence upon picking my answer choices. If anything, this tutoring academy is a MUST if you want to reach into the big league colleges. read more

PA College West College is an excellent after school program for parents who are trying to help their children excel and strengthen academic courses. My grand-daughter attended this institution hoping to increase her SAT scores, which she did and because of PA College Prep's help she'll be attending a University this fall. But, it doesn't stop there with PA. They not only please great emphasis on education they also take the time to learn who these children are. By knowing who these children are and getting to know what makes them think the way they do helps the teachers further enhance the child's education and self-esteem. PA College Prep is an incredible place to attend to raise your SAT and ACT scores. Not only are the teachers extremely well prepared to teach the material, they genuinely want us to succeed in our test-taking. Furthermore, the class sizes are relatively small so it is convenient to speak with the teacher and have one on one help when necessary. The classwork and homework were also extremely helpful since they covered all aspects of the tests. The practice tests were also amazing and prepared me very well for the actual tests since the practice tests were more difficult than the real tests. I was able to raise my score a few hundred points in only a few months so the results clearly show how helpful this College Prep is. 10/10. Would recommend. read more

PA College Prep was an amazing program that allowed me to increase my SAT score, and thus my chances into getting into my top colleges. When I first arrived at PA College Prep for the 8 week program, I was scoring a 1330, but with the help of the hard working staff and faculty, I eventually reached my goal score which was a 1450. One of the things I liked most about PA College Prep was the caring people who made sure that you had goals set for yourself and who always boosted your confidence in your ability. They never allowed you to feel discouraged even if that week's score on the practice SAT test was not the best. I don't know where my last review went, so here I go again. I had come to PA College Prep to improve my SAT scores and college essay writing skills to achieve something higher than myself. And it worked. I recently just earned an AFROTC Scholarship and was accepted to all the colleges I've applied to so far. I recommend this place highly if you want to get ahead in both the SAT and the ACT. I took PA's courses for two years, and at the end I came out with a 2230 on the old SAT and a 35 on the ACT.
