As of July 12, 2024 I had received no quote or return phone call after leaving numerous voice messages for Craig. Finally, today I left a one star review on Google regarding this horrible customer service. I finally received a phone call from Mr. Lukas at 7:30pm this evening July 12. 2024 - 6 hours after the Google review was posted (coincidence?). Mr Lucas stated he could not provide the quote. He went on to state he is dealing with personal problems - this he told to a woman, a mother and a wife wheelchair bound who was given the terminal diagnosis of ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease who reached out to him for assistance who he treated with complete disregard. For awareness to all: ALS is a disease; amyotrophic lateral sclerosis is a neurologic disorder in which motor neurons die and stop sending messages to the muscles which causes the muscles to waste away. A person with ALS eventually loses the ability to walk, talk, chew and breathe resulting in death - the typical prognosis for someone with this disease is 2 - 5 years. Very friendly lady said the tech would call me, which he did, in about 20 minutes. Told me he could come out in about an hour. From past experience I've waited as long as a week for other companies. Arrives on time--super nice guy--and within a few minutes tells me it's nothing mechanical--one of the doors is out of plumb & asks for some sand paper. Voila! The elevator works! Wow. Everyone in our complex has an elevator & I'm officially recommending them to *everyone*. These guys are the *best*!!

I would not recommend using preferred elevator at all. I contacted them regarding our elevator…read morebeing down and needing maintenance on it. feel blindsided with the cost. When I first contacted preferred elevator, I let you all know we were already down. When the technician came, he assessed the elevator and said that we were not set up right from the start and also that he was unable to make the elevator work because it needed a new selector. He disclosed the selector would cost me $350, and the office would contact me to schedule the next maintenance on top of what I had already paid ($360), and I agreed to that. Not only did I have to follow up with the office for updates and scheduling, but the technician also realized it was never the selector. I was just a CABLE!... I was also NEVER disclosed I'd be charged another 2.5 hours of the technicians time nor did I agree to that charge and now they're billing me over a thousand dollars on top of the payment provided. When I brought this concern up to the office manager, she was condescending and "expects payment very soon" - not a transparent company to work with.

I was in shock of course and very upset as this was unaffordable . This elevator is not a luxury but a necessity for us. I refused his proposal and suggestions . I called another company and explained my problem and waited to write this review till I see what the other company can do for me. They arrived today , they examined the situation and replaced 4 sensors that they said are readily available everywhere to my astonishment considering what preferred(not so preferred ) told me. At a cost of few hundred dollars my elevator is working like new !!!!!!!!! NOT 40000 dollars , OH GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am extremely disappointed with this preferred company's attitude, expertise , knowledge and dedication to resolve a simple elevator problem.I usually do not write reviews but this time I was compelled to do so others know what to or not to expect from this "preferred" elevator company.
