We asked one of their staff member what we need to get up and running for some shore fishing at the resort we were staying at. Adam was super patient and got us all set up with poles, hooks, and live bait. We ended up going back to The Tackle Box the next day for some more live bait and ended up buying their fishing charter last moment for the next mid morning. Got to the docks about one hour early and Chris the owner and first mate Adam were there ready to go!! Chris and Adam were very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my boys and had fish on within a matter minutes! If your close to Marathon in the Florida Keys and looking to do some fishing I would highly recommend stopping at The Tackle Shop! Great and friendly staff and have everything you need!

I was looking at my receipts and comparing them to my online banking transactions and saw a discrepancy. I called and said just that. The lady said, in a very nasty way "tthere are signs all over the place, there is a 3.9% extra charge to use a credit card". First, I was asking in a polite way and you don't need to attack me. Second, is gouging really a nice practice as it adversely affects your local population too? Or do they know not to come to this business because you do gouge? Anyway, next year, we won't come here and will call to see who is the best bait place to go to that respects their customers and neighbors.

We showed up at the meeting spot which is located at the marina right next to the Postcard Inn. It was very convenient for us as we were already staying at the Postcard inn and only had to walk a few steps. The boat was full, we had about 20 people total in our group as it was busy season. We went to the first reef and saw quite a few marine animals including nurse sharks, various colorful fish, turtles and stingrays. The only downside is that we were supposed to go to two different reefs but ended up only staying at the first one since the group was too large to move around from one place to the next in the 2 hour time span that we were allotted. All in all, a fun experience and would do it again.

Mather of fact I purchased a fly fishing 10 wt rod/reel combo from him about 12 years ago. They stand 100% behind their products. He even replaced the rod years later for free ,after I broke a section . I am still fishing this set up and got my PB 40" striper on it last season. The last two years they haven't come to the show ,but hopefully I will make it down to their store this spring .
