Adam was super patient and got us all set up with poles, hooks, and live bait. We ended up going back to The Tackle Box the next day for some more live bait and ended up buying their fishing charter last moment for the next mid morning. Got to the docks about one hour early and Chris the owner and first mate Adam were there ready to go!! Chris and Adam were very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my boys and had fish on within a matter minutes! Had an absolute blast on the marathon lady today for their morning charter from 8:30 am until 12:30…read morepm. Captain Craig and the two Jakes were amazing. They helped with baiting the hooks, unhooking the catches, cleaning the fish, and providing unparalleled entertainment. We couldn't have asked for a better day on the water, the fish were biting and the weather was absolutely perfect. The captain kept putting us right on the fish and we ended the trip with plenty to bring to a restaurant for a hook and cook dinner. I can't recommend this place enough, the price is right and the people running it and keeping it going are great. The captain even let us know when a pod of dolphins were nearby so we could enjoy seeing them! Such an unexpected and great bonus to the day! It is BYOB if you want, but onboard they do have some beverages and snacks for purchase (cash only on board), but we brought our own which worked out well. Tickets can be purchased with debit or credit cards, but cash on board is king for drinks/snacks, tips, and fish cleaning so make sure to bring some cash for your day on the water! If you're in the middle keys and want a great value for a fishing trip without a full charter, this is the best there is and totally worth it.

I live in Miami and it takes me about two hours to get down to the Marathon Lady but it is definitely worth to drive and I pass about a dozen other party boats on the way. There is no party fishing boat that is better than the Marathon Lady, I know because I have tried them all. It's a family run business, and all of the crew always recognized me and my cousin. The Marathon Lady is the only Fishing boat that I recommend to everybody.

I was looking at my receipts and comparing them to my online banking transactions and saw a discrepancy. I called and said just that. The lady said, in a very nasty way "tthere are signs all over the place, there is a 3.9% extra charge to use a credit card". First, I was asking in a polite way and you don't need to attack me. Second, is gouging really a nice practice as it adversely affects your local population too? Or do they know not to come to this business because you do gouge? Anyway, next year, we won't come here and will call to see who is the best bait place to go to that respects their customers and neighbors.
