Came to the Florida Keys from Arizona for our boys Spring Break…read more My two boys and I love to fish so we found The Tackle Box!! We asked one of their staff member what we need to get up and running for some shore fishing at the resort we were staying at. Adam was super patient and got us all set up with poles, hooks, and live bait. We ended up going back to The Tackle Box the next day for some more live bait and ended up buying their fishing charter last moment for the next mid morning. Got to the docks about one hour early and Chris the owner and first mate Adam were there ready to go!! Chris and Adam were very professional, knowledgeable and patient with my boys and had fish on within a matter minutes! If your close to Marathon in the Florida Keys and looking to do some fishing I would highly recommend stopping at The Tackle Shop! Great and friendly staff and have everything you need!

We were only looking for shelter, but Catoosa Cove Marina proved to be far more than that. The staff were very professional and got us safely tied up in winds that were gusting to 25 knots. The laundry and showers were outstanding, and we enjoyed excellent meals at their restaurant, Habano's. The frontal system passed, but we were having so much fun that we decided to stay for three more days. We will definitely return to Coloosa Cove on future cruises. - Ron I

We had a wonderful experience at Sea Bird Marina! A special thank you to Lynn and the entire staff…read morefor all their help along the way. Everyone was friendly, considerate, and incredibly helpful. We especially appreciated how much they care about protecting the environment. They took the time to assist us with launching and retrieving our boat in a way that helped prevent any unnecessary impact or damage to the surrounding environment. We highly recommend Sea Bird Marina and truly appreciate the care and service we received!

Go here if you enjoy high prices and rude owners…read more We rented with them in Oct 2023. We rented a 23' Ft Key West (largest they had- only one engine). It was in rough shape. Despite being fellow Floridians, they treated us like pirates. Due to the poor condition, we were nervous to take it too far. We returned the boat free of damages, and they refused to give us our deposit back. *Be warned if the boat breaks down (even due to their negligence) it's YOUR cost. We're headed back to the Keys this month. Since we believe in supporting local, we wanted to give them another shot. Note, that the lousy first experience wasn't enough for a review. My husband spoke to the owner direct and explained we were staying this time in Marathon. The owner argued we couldn't keep a rental boat in Marathon, despite pointing out their black and white content on their website (see image). Again, they were rude and their prices are outrageous. Congrats, now you have an honest review exposing your incompetence and corruption. Thanks for your lack of manners. We were able to rent a higher quality, newer, two-engine, larger boat for cheaper elsewhere.

WE HAD THE BEST TIME!!!!!! THANK YOU CAPTAIN RAY! WE WILL BE BACK AGAIN!…read more Writing this awesome review under my husbands profile. Let me just say from beginning to end we had an AMAZING day! A few days before our boat rental my husband had stopped by the marina to see if we could rent a boat. That specific day the owner named Ray advised my husband that the boating conditions were not ideal and he stated he didn't want to rent a boat out to us for us to come right back miserable and sea sick. We thought that was great that he was looking out for our best interest and didn't want to just take our money. Fast forward to a few days later where the boating conditions were better and we were ready to go! My husband went back to the marina and met Ray again. Ray took his time and went over all the details ( and trust me there is a lot to know before you head out) of the boat and sent us on our way. My husband and i started to head out and it wasn't long before my idiot ( and i say that with love) husband put the boat in neutral without realizing and thought he broke the propeller. He called Ray and within 10/15 minutes Ray was out on the water to help us out. We felt so bad for dragging Ray out just to tell us we had the boat in neutral! He reassured us it was ok and that we did exactly what we were supposed to do in that situation. Ray then sent us on our way again! We had the boat until 4pm and we had a blast!!!!! The area we were in made it hard to stay out of shallow water but we did it! We felt like we had no limits on distance and we made it out to the Coffin Patch which is at a coral reef where people go snorkeling. You are not able to anchor there but there are buoys to hook the boat up to if you want to stay. We then took the boat out to the 7 mile bridge and then made our way back. Ray met us back at the marina to help fill the boat back up with gas. We talked for a bit and then we were on off. Ray was such a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be back!

We rented Molly (21ft Switch) for one day and we had a blast! These boats are so much fun and great for the keys! We received an email the day before letting us know Molly would be ready the next day and also where to park, temperature, wind and seas information which was great and super helpful! Getting to the dock was easy, Thomas and Maryanne were there to greet us and help us with our bags which was wonderful. Thomas went over a little safety briefing and how everything works on the switch. We were thankful for a cooler with ice and a few drinks, as we forgot to buy ice for our cooler so that was great! After a few minutes, we were on our way! Returning back, Thomas and Maryanne were there to greet us again at the dock and help us offload our stuff. Everything ran smoothly and so easy and they were both so lovely to us! All in all, we had a great time and couldn't be happy with the service we received from Sandbarjetboats. We will definitely be back and rent from them again (if my husband doesn't buy his own switch! Haha). But we were very happy and HIGHLY RECOMMEND them! 5 stars all the way!

We got at the dock 30 min ahead of schedule and the boat was already ready and cooler stocked with ice for us. We got to the Florida Keys just two days before Hurricane Idalia decided to show up and the owner was more than willing to accommodate our reservation date. We had the "Big Mike" switch for the day and it was amazing on gas, plenty of space for all 6 of us. I would highly recommend Sandbarjetboats to anyone wanting to rent a boat and be their own captain.

My family and I were in Cudjoe Key a few weeks ago and were happy to find a boat rental…read moreestablishment that had a boat available on a two-day notice. The proprietor or employee, unsure which, was very friendly and worked quickly to get us underway. But, I think the negatives outweighed the few positives. First, the place (a small office on the backside of a multi-use building) was difficult to find. When I did find it, no one was there although I was arriving about 30 mins. prior to my agreed upon rental time. The boat came in about 15 mins late and the Poseidon employee worked very hard to clean the boat, drive down the street to fill gas cans in order to fuel up the boat, and then complete the fueling process. We departed about 40 mins after the rental start time. To his credit, he allowed me to come back as late as an hour after the agreed upon rental period. The boat was a typical rental. It showed its years and usage. It also did not have a working marine radio and the tiny anchor struggled to keep us in one place when we stopped to swim. Most frustrating was the return of the boat and the email notification that I owed $60 for fuel. There was no one at the rental office when we returned. Some older gentleman who presumably knew the owner helped me dock the boat. When I later received an email informing me that I owed $60 for a quarter tank of fuel, I wrote back to the owner explaining that I could not understand the use of about 12 gallons of fuel costing $60 ($5 a gallon). At the time, fuel from the Shell station where he went to purchase fuel prior to my trip was about $2.80 a gallon. He sent me a copy of the contract I signed with a note on the bottom advising that gas would cost $60 per quarter tank. I've never paid that much for gas after a boat rental. I was a bit ticked off. Decent place, but wouldn't give it my business again.
