This used to be my favorite place. They are extremely talented and know how to entertain an audience. It's a great place for a night of live music and drinks and used to be my go-to after a late night's work. However, in the last year they have made a series of changes that have turned me away, probably for good. The atmosphere as a whole has changed, things do not appear to run as smoothly. The cover charge, though not much, is enough to discourage me from stopping by for anything less than a full night or from inviting friends to tag along. With the remodel, their tap selection has been poor. For special events, it's ok but they've ruined the appeal for a casual night out. read more

The Bar staff is awesome and we're punctual on drinks. The dueling pianos really was over the top. The place keeps you entertained and wanting to come back. When the musicians stay within their wheelhouse, they're not bad. When they play stuff outside their abilities, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Their humor is pretty shallow and they make negative comments about people in the crowd who haven't paid them. Would not recommend. read more

I love coming here, always a good time. However I don't agree with the cover charge. While it's only $10 on Saturday, it's more the principle that makes me mad. If your gonna drop $5-$20 per song request, why the hell are they forcing a $10 cover? This really needs to go away. I think it actually makes people tip/pay less overall for songs. read more

Wow very impressed. I went a few weeks back and it gets packed and crazy in there. The performers were so talented and having never been to a piano bar I had no idea they could sing as well! Drinks from the bar did not seem expensive compared to other bars and the appetizers were good. There is no cover and you pretty much pay for song requests and food/drinks. The staff is very attentive and they are working hard to get to each table to provide service. Also one of the hostess/waitress girls is a looker! Great curves! Ok but anyway yes highly recommended and the Queen Anne location was pretty easy to find parking considering it was a Saturday night. Also the crowd consisting of bday party goers, bachelorette party goers and random date night couples makes for an exciting bunch! read more

I would not recommend this venue. Phone was left in the establishment. App said it was there up until an hour before opening. Then I went in once they opened and manager said that it hasn't been turned in. I called and called, no answer. Manager has yet to contact me, even after leaving a voice mail message. So, 30+ of my friends and I went here for my bday. I had been to 88 Keys in Pioneer Square and it was great, but I was told this place was better, plus Lower Queen Anne is a lot better area. First off, their communication sucks. Took a few attempts to get into contact with them. Then, when I finally got into contact with them, and told them I'd be bringing 30+ people, they said cool, that I just need to be there by 9 when the show starts. They didn't specify that MOST of the party needs to show up by 9. Who the hell goes out that early? Crazy. Side note: I also heard a lot of my group mentioning that the drinks were not very good and over-priced. Anyways, I get there by 9 and instead of a warm greeting, they say "wow, we almost gave your tables away". Then long story short, we get kicked out of the tables because my party was running about 30 min late. They lost out on a lot of money (my friends drink), and on top of this the owner is a royal douchebag (that's putting it nicely). Could not believe the fucked up way he treated us. He wouldn't even speak to me directly, I was only able to speak to the manager. Oh, and to top it off my friends paid good money for him to play me an AC/DC song, but when he saw it he was like "oh, we don't play that song" and went on to play barbie girl. I'm shocked they still get business. I'll never go back again, and I never bad mouth businesses, but I would literally discourage people from going here. We ended up leaving early and bar-hopping. They lost out on a lot of money from us, but why would I contribute to a business when they treat their customers so piss-poorly? I could go on and on, but this is enough venting for now. read more

Supposedly your song request is guaranteed to be played. Here is what happened to me. I put in a request with $20. One piano player gave it to the other. The second guy then took a break and another player filled in. When the guy came back he continued the show but did not play my song. I sent up a note explaining that my request had not been played (had been waiting over an hour by now). The players had even announced they were playing $10 songs now and needed more requests. After about 2-1/2 hours, we left. I complained to the manager and he said I must have "missed" the song (never left my table) and that the players are not employees of Keys and they cannot control the show. Sad state of affairs. The players certainly represent the club by putting on the show. A side note...this is a real estrogen fest. There were 5 bachelorette parties there this night. Raunchy songs (really filthy a couple of times). Stone drunk girls taking off their underwear and dancing around on the stage. I guess if you are a creepy guy, this is your great hunting ground. Yuk, steer clear Seattle has way better than this. read more

The music and atmosphere are phenomenal. The drinks are good and the musicians are great. There are only 2 stars here because there were 2 women who were celebrating birthdays and the songs the pianists chose were very crude and called for actions that were inappropriate. The women on stage even kept shaking their head that they didn't want to continue with the songs, but the crowd and musicians egged them on. It was so sad to see such disregard for them and to call on them to do uncomfortable actions. Before bringing people on stage I'd suggest letting them know what they're getting into before putting them on the spot in front of a couple hundred people where the pressure is on to perform. read more

There are two different types of piano bars in my opinion: the ones where the pianists are nice to you and then there are the more touristy ones. Keys on Main is one of the piano bars where the pianists act as if they are in a tourist destination. Let me elaborate: if they don't want to play your song then they trash talk it the entire time that they play it (and they're only playing it because you put down you know, $20 or something...), sometimes they don't just whine and complain about playing "such a terrible song" but they also don't play it well on purpose because they're bored and they don't want to do it. I think that's incredibly rude but it doesn't mater much to them because another drunk person will just come along and slam their money down to hear some other song. You may pay $40+ and only hear 1/6 of the song you paid for. I have actually been to several other piano bars where they'll play whatever you want, and they won't complain or screw up the keys/pitch on purpose. All that being said, I actually have a really great time when I go to Keys on Main. I never actually put money on the pianos for a specific song when I am there though, for the reasons listed above. But if you enjoy dueling pianos, live music, etc. then Keys on Main is a solid option. read more

Not a real piano bar, more like a karaoke bar. They only play the music where you give them the most money, (same stuff as on the radio) but don't do that very well. The owner, Jordan, was one of the piano players and he was not very good... and he was also a prick when we talked to him. Overall, I would go somewhere else. read more

We had family visiting and we couldn't wait to take them to Keys on Main. We arrived early to get a good table. My 50 year old mother had forgotten her ID and they refused to let us in. I understand they need to ID people that look questionable, but she is clearly over 21. This was such a joke. The Manager working that night was incredibly rude and not apologetic. My friend and I flew to Seattle for a quick weekend trip to attend a concert. The concert was on Saturday night, so we had Friday night open. We were staying at the Maxwell Hotel so when I searched bars and lounges nearby, Keys on Main came up on the old trusty Yelp. I am intrigued by any kind of live performance so we made Keys our Friday night destination. I am SO glad we did. I have NEVER been to such a wonderful dueling piano bar. The musicians are extremely talented and SO MUCH FUN! Aaron, Ben and Jordan were tickling the ivories the night I went and they were spectacular and all so cute!! Which made it even more fun! Our waitress, Casey, was a doll! Come loaded with cash, as that is they way you get them to play your songs. It can add up if you request a lot of songs, but that is entirely up to you. You can request zero to as many as you want! And there is no cover, so the cost of the night is sort of what you make it. I do wish they served food, but we had dinner at The Rock Wood Fired Pizza before the show (which was delicious!), so we were fine with just ordering drinks. This place was an absolute blast and I left with a huge smile on my face!! :) The only thing I can say is that this place isn't for the super prude. But if you can go with the flow and a laugh at few lighthearted dirty jokes then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

This was my first time to Keys on Main, we were celebrating a friend's birthday and had a fabulous time. The people were packed in and that made it difficult for the server to get to everyone, but we were able to walk up to the bar and get drinks ourselves. We visited Keys on Main on Wednesday evening and it was immediately apparent that Wednesdays are their slowest nights. Although there were only a few guests, both Zach and Luke made up for it in their high energy charismatic performance. The entertainment was priceless! Their repertoire truly covered A to Z and they played music from all over the map. As a pianist I found them inspiring and am determined to return. Both players ooze with talent and exuberance, now that's entertainment! The bartender David was a most accommodating host and added to the pleasurable experience. We are truly blessed here in Seattle when we can visit an establishment of this caliber, without reservations or cover charge, and be rewarded with great playing, singing, and entertainment! Many artists reflect the energy of the audience, I apologize that there were so few of us and so much talent on stage. There's no fee to reserve a table and no cover - pretty much unheard of in the dueling piano bar world. The performers are amazing and the staff is all really friendly. They play all the classics and a lot of new stuff - from rap to pop to country. Don't listen to the reviewers who have obviously never been to a piano bar...unless you are easily offended, frown on locker room humor, and hate a good time...then listen to them. I died Saturday night. Literally and figuratively. When we finally left Keys on Main, my face was tear stained,y sides hurt so bad from laughing, and I had a nice buzz going. This place is not for the faint of heart nor those who do not enjoy a bit of crude humor. The guys were so funny and entertaining and wow they can play! If it wasn't so packed I'd probably be there every Friday night just to laugh. Do be careful when you are drinking, sometimes the bartender isn't all that aware of what is going into a drink my lemon drop turned into something fizzy with less lemon and midori was added to it. The pianists were average. They knew an amazing amount and variety of songs, but most of the songs they did were your typical overplayed Top 40 pop hits from the 70's to the present, shit that you hear constantly at every dueling piano show in the world. The place was dark, dusty, and messy. And to add to the mess, I ordered a double jack and coke, which had nowhere near two shots in it. The thing that most surprised me about this experience, my girlfriend ordered a double Margarita, which, to give credit where credit is due, had the full two shots in it, but not shots of tequila, it had whiskey in it!! I tried it myself, and I know Jack Daniels when I taste it, and I know with absolute certainty there was JD in this "Margarita". And it wasn't one of those mistakes that ends up tasting good, it was awful! This place seems nice, and I'd happily give it another chance to hopefully change my opinion of it, but this experience was an overall disaster in almost every way possible. read more

We were visiting from San Francisco on the weekend of March 1st and had a very nice dinner, then our friends took us here for a change of pace, well it sure was! At first I wasn't so sure as there was a towering bouncer asking we totally obvious adults for our ID's, THEN there were no seats. However he ended up getting us a great table and I must say that towering bouncer was great, he really kept an eye on the place and was even busing tables. The pianists were fun and even though there were a few very drunk birthday girls (not feeling too well outside) we had a blast and will be back on the next visit. Went with a group of 14 ladies for bachelorette party on Sat April 15, 2017. Decent table service, well made drinks. We placed a lot of money on the pianos to hear our songs, but only had 1-2 songs played over the 3+ hours we were there. While gathering up everyone to leave, however, a cell phone was accidentally left behind. Using Google locator, it was found to be at the bar the following morning. Messages were left and someone from the bar replied on Tuesday via email that they would look for it. On Friday they could not locate the phone, and "good luck". Profoundly unhappy with the lack of care and "nobody cares" attitude received. A police report was filed, and this review posted. read more

I went to this club for my boyfriends birthday and it was the most amazing dueling piano show I've ever seen! The food and drinks are great and the atmosphere is trendy and cozy! The piano players definitely make this club a real diamond of the Seattle nightlife with their incredible ability to play almost any song and the way that they interact with the crowd. I don't know how they do it but they will have you clapping, dancing and singing along all night! Since there is now NO cover charge, I will be sure to become a regular at this great place and would recommend it to anyone looking for a cool happy hour, Bachelorette party venue and just a great place to hang out with friends for the night! read more
