I LOVE Keys on Main! If I could give it 10 stars I would :) If you think piano bars aren't your "thing", it's because you've never been to Keys on Main! I love piano bars and have been to clubs all over the country, but nothing comes close to the show I saw on Friday and Saturday night. These guys can play just about anything--Billy Joel! Michael Jackson! Elton John! Snoop Dogg! Rihanna! Britney! Disney!-- and the level of talent is just amazing. Best of all, they always make the audience part of the show-they're the ones calling the shots, after all. Loved watching them bring people up on stage and sing them the funny and sometimes raunchy songs piano bars are famous for. I already have a friend in mind that I will be bringing here on her birthday for that specific reason! My favorite thing about this places is that it is one of those rare spots that really truly does offer something for everybody. There was such a diverse mix of people in there this weekend--bachelorette parties, older couples out on the town, a couple rowdy birthday parties, groups of the usual Queen Anne young single people--and every person in there looked like they were having the time of their life. When you think about it, that's not something you see very often! Unlike Pesos and Ozzies, which can get pretty fratty/clubby on the weekends, Keys on Main offers REAL entertainment and a chance to enjoy some live music, hang out with friends, and have a drink without getting my leg humped by some douchebag with a popped collar and a backwards baseball cap. WIN! This spot is one of Queen Anne's newest additions and offers something for everyone: every time I'm there I see a new mix of people, from bachelor/ette parties to girl's nights out to locals just grabbing a beer, this is an awesome spot for just about anyone. The show is all-request so they're always playing music the crowd wants to hear, and it's almost impossible not to have a good time. Just look around the room and you'll see people dancing, playfully "battling" over the music, eating yummy food (not just standard bar fare: try the steak, white truffle mac and cheese or the lemon pepper chicken) and singing along at the top of their lungs. Fridays and Saturdays are a party! The performers are insanely talented and so funny--they work hard and earn every dollar they make in tips! Great for groups, but could also be really fun for a date, however be warned: it's LOUD so don't expect to be able to catch up over dinner here, at least not once the show starts (eat there before 8:30 and you'll be fine)! They don't charge cover like Chopstix used to, which is awesome, so it can be an all-night destination or just a stop on the party train. Drinks are reasonably priced and well-made, and the service has always been good for me. Happy hour every day from 6-7:30 ($4 any drink) and ladies night on Thursday ($3 any drink)--yayuh. A must-go for anyone visiting from out of town...or heck, just anyone! read more

Let me start by saying that I'd been to this piano bar before it became Keys on Main, when it was still called Chopsticks and it was awful, bad service, bad greasy food, creepy entertainers. I was actually dreading coming here but was totally surprised when I walked in. I didn't even recognize the place. You can't beat the location in Lower Queen Anne, right around the corner from lots of other bars and restaurants. What makes this place unique is obviously the live piano show, where two piano players sit across from each other and play/sing audience requests all night.Players are super funny and extremely talented! I've been to piano bars before, both locally (Chopsticks in Seattle and Everett) and in other parts of the country and I can honestly say that Keys on Main put on the best show I've ever seen. I'm very picky about my live music and the production value here is so high (lights-drums-mixing-electric guitars-you-name-it)...SO much better than some old fart plinking out blah jazz standards or god forbid creepily attempting "Closer" by nine inch nails (yes this happened when I came to Chopsticks three years ago. all i can say is ew haha) The food was much better than I expected, a big improvement on what the old place had to offer. My girlfriends and I shared the mac and cheese (delish) and the spinach artichoke dip and I would definitely order them both again. Drink service was a little slow but they were slammed so I can get over that, plus our waitress was super sweet. Can't believe that they don't charge cover for a place like this with a show like that! I can't wait to come back read more

Was here last weekend for St. Patricks day and had a blast! We liked Chopstix, but we LOVE Keys on Main and my friends and I have declared it our new favorite place in Queen Anne, if not the whole city! The new club looks so much better and we really liked their new cocktail menu. Their greeter/doorperson recommended the "10 Cane Mojito" and she was right...it was awesome. The show was as great, if not better, as it always has been and we laughed and danced and sang all night. We even had some out of town friends with us that night who commented more than once on how cool the bar was and how they wished they had something like that where they're from (Arizona). I was susprised when I saw a review complaining about the service because our server was awesome, and quick. We were with a pretty big group of slighlty (ok more than slightly--it was St Paddys day!) intoxicated people and she still managed to understand our orders and get everything right, and fast. I think her name was Sarah? Anyway, go Sarah, if thats you. you rock girl! It can't be easy to work in a place that loud but she was great. If you come hungry, try the macaroni and cheese...not sure if it was the beer talking or if it was just plain delicious, but you need to give it a shot. We ordered seconds. Coming back here for a birthday party in April, can't wait! read more

I went on Saturday for my 22nd birthday and can say without a doubt we'll be back! We had a group of about 18 people and everyone in our party says they'll be going here again. The service was great, all of the staff was there to make sure we had a great night! We were seated in the VIP lounge and before the show started all of the piano players came and introduced themselves and let us know how the show works. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. They played everything! Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Journey, Bon Jovi, Sir Mix A Lot, Grease, Alicia Keys, Garth Brooks anything you could think of :) If you've never been check it out. Some of my friends said they weren't sure about a piano bar... but by the end of the night they all said that was one of the best nights we've had out. Plus the guys were all happy there was no cover charge! It was a great mix of people. We were all very formal for my birthday and didn't feel too dressed up but you could go in more causal and still fit right in. I loved Keys on Main, can't wait to go back! Special shout out the manager! She was fabulous and we even talked her into playing for us. She truly made it a fantastic evening! read more

Very fun. The piano players are very talented and seem to know about every song, I love dueling piano and these guys are about the best show I've seen. I think they are WAY better then the cheesier Chopsticks show that they replaced! I saw that they are doing karaoke Sunday -Wednesday so I went last night. It was not crowded, so I got to sing a bunch. The sound system is great and everyone is friendly, it was a blast. They have every song... Computerized. Cool. Very cool place... And who can beat $1 drafts? I also thought it was very cool that the KJ didn't put herself into the rotation... We had to coaxed her to sing, how totally cool is that? And despite one negative review here on yelp about not getting service.... I had been in about 5 times since the change... The service has been awesome every time .... I have NEVER sat with an empty glass and I have been there when the place is packed with batchlorette parties or college grads... It can be a hoppin place and the staff are totally on top of it! They don't serve food however... So stop by pagliachi's and grab a slice to bring with you... Or call and have a pizza delivered to your table, yep, they will do it! :) read more

Came here on a really busy Saturday last weekend and had a great time! We walked by with a group of friends and were drawn in because we saw a sign stating they no longer charge cover! The show is amazing of course, but the food and drinks were surprisingly good for what used to be a gross dive bar (Chopstix). I was really impressed by the changes they've made in their remodel and the bar looks beautiful! The bartender (Clay?) was quick and even though he was clearly very busy (there were probably about 200 people in the place that night) he was friendly and made great drinks for me and my friends. We showed up without a reservation--we won;t make that mistake again because it was PACKED when we got there--but their hostess was great and made a special effort to carve out space for the six of us right before the show started. I ordered the Kobe burger and my husband ordered Lemon Pepper chicken--both were excellent. Since we live just up the hill we will definitely be back, even if its just to eat dinner on an off-night! Friendly service, great food, good drinks...we may have found our new favorite Queen Anne spot and we can't wait to come back! read more

I started going to this place back when it was Chopstix, and I'm still in love with the dueling piano nights, so it loses one star for dropping that down to only two nights a week and replacing the other three nights with open mic and karaoke (if I want karaoke I will go to a karaoke bar). That aside, I easily spent $40 on tips for the piano players alone when I lived nearby. I'd go about once a month or once every two months with a friend or two, and if I had a friend who had never been, I made sure to mention it was their birthday. Best fun ever. I received many death threats from my friends as they stood up there. The players are amazing, and they EARN every dollar of those tips in terms of talent and interaction with the room. Tip: A couple songs they do best are Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis) and Do You Love Me Now That I Can Dance. You will shriek like the original fans as they slam on the ivories. And don't skip The Devil Went Down to Georgia, whatever you do. When "Johnny" starts playing, you get a real treat. What is it? Well, you'll just have to request it and find out. read more

My girlfriend had her birthday here a couple months ago and we decided to go back for St Patricks day on Saturday cause it was really fun when it was chopstix. We stopped by with two of our friends around 11 and the piano players were doing Dont Stop Believing with an electric guitar so naturally we had to go in. Bartenders were fast and drinks were reasonably priced. We decided to save the waitresses some trouble and just order our drinks from the bar, but even though we didn't have one, there was a girl who kept coming and checking in on us, refilling water, seeing if we needed anything which was pretty cool since they were super busy. The $7 cover was kind of a bummer at first, but totally worth it when you think about how its live entertainment and they can play whatever you want. We liked that they served Guinness (couldn't get it at Pesos WTF) and that we got a table for four right when we walked in...seemed like every seat was a good seat here. There were people in the VIP area and that looked cool, might have even sprung for it if it wasnt already occupied. Maybe next time. read more

I was so excited to review this place that I created a yelp account just to brag about them. I was just here for the first time and loved it! I'd never been to a dueling piano bar except for in Vegas, and this place completely BLEW THE VEGAS SHOWS OUT OF THE WATER. I know that sounds hard to believe, but you need to see it for yourself! We got there early for their happy hour ($4 any drink from 6-7:30) and ate dinner before the show, which meant we didn't have to pay the $7 cover, and we got a table for the start of the show which was nice cause it filled up fast once the show started. The drinks were strong, the service was friendly and other people in the bar seemed like they were having a lot of fun--everyone was singing, dancing, and laughing along with the show! When you really think about it, its unbelievable how talented the piano players must be because they can play literally anything that gets requested...I can't believe the range of music we heard that night, SO cool! read more

not gonna lie, i made a yelp because the hot door girl at keys on main told me to. this bar is pretty cool though, i always thought it was for old people and bachelorette partys but when i was there this weekend I realized its actually poppin. they even played rap and this white guy piano player got up on a table and rapped snoop dogg gin and juice actually really well so i gotta give em props. i had a couple shots before my buddies made me leave to meet up with other people but hot door girl if you read this call me! i wanna start a contest for best looking waitresses and hostesses and she needs to be on it. I will give five stars if you actually see this an call me! read more

I've been going to Keys on Main on and off for several years now. Service from the bar has always been great for me - even if they are busy - and the drinks and entertainment have both been top notch! All the entertainers know more songs than I thought humanly possible and they keep constantly up to date on anything you might hear popping up new on the radio. Like everyone else says, it's a great place for a group party of any kind with tons of fun energy. Worth offering up a tip to get a special member of your party up to sit on the pianos to be serenaded in a special, slightly (or more than slightly) inappropriate, incredibly funny way! read more

My wife and I headed to Keys On Main in Queen Anne last night for ladies night and it was a Blast!! We decided to do something a bit different for Cinco de Mayo and Keys delivered. The piano players Jordan and Aaron were awesome and did an amazing Prince song on the Piano!! There were quite a few birthdays going on as well so the place was lively and loud but we still had a great time. Our bartender Shane was busy by himself behind the bar and still managed to make my wife happy with all of fruity drinks she was throwing his way. Overall it was a great experience and we will certainly be coming back with friends... read more

I absolutely love this place. I started coming here every once in a while when it was chopsticks with my friends. Since they changed the name and dropped the cover charge, I stop by after work for a drink. Thursdays ladies night drinks are only $3!! You can't beat that!! The pianists there are so good at what they do. After a while, you get to know their personailties and the songs that they're good at. SO MUCH FUN! I like going to watch all the crazy people get up and dance. I only wish they served food all night. Other than that, I'm happy to support this neighborhood gem! LOVE IT! read more

I came in last night and we couldn't stay long, but since we're staying at the Maxwell hotel down the street we will be back tonight! The piano players are obviously very talented and put on a very entertaining show--I wish we could have stayed longer. Bartender was quick to whip up our drinks and they were done well. I came here years ago when it was Chopstix but left unimpressed so I was reluctant to return last night, but I'm so glad I did! Looking forward to coming back tonight as long as my friends promise not to make any more stupid "Journey" jokes haha read more

My friends and I went to keys in main the night before our best friends wedding. The piano players, Aaron and Jordan, were fantastic and really got the group involved! We loved it so much we returned with the rest of the wedding party the next night! They introduced the bride and groom and played a song for their first dance! We absolutely love it here. Would recommend for anyone visiting the Seattle area! Best song to request: no diggity!! Made a yelp account just to leave this!! read more

heres my 2nd review for this bar! Came here the first time for my 22nd birthday and go back at least once a month! Cannot express how much I love this place. Especially Thursday night ladies night! $3.00 drinks simply can't be beat (and not just well drinks anything) The piano players are talented and always very entertaining. Keep up the good work! read more

The drinks here are fantastic! This is a perfect spot to relax and hang out, and it's a place you can visit again and again. On Fridays and Saturdays, you can even request the staff to play your favorite songs on the piano, which adds a special touch. Absolutely loved the vibe of this place! read more

Sexist, racist, and totally homophobic jokes make this your dead Grandfather's favorite form of entertainment. No amount of piano-playing talent makes this insensitive show, boring atmosphere, and expensive bland drinks worth it. Don't go. read more

The talent is amazing. Unfortunately, it's deterrent is the obese women they bring on stage to twerk, expose themselves, and it just creates a seedy and disgusting environment. read more
