Having dueling pianos instead of a DJ/band is a great way to get all your guests involved and set your wedding apart from others. They really put on a show and had all our guests either singing or dancing along. For us, it really took the pressure out of feeling like we needed to "entertain" our guests because dueling pianos was the entertainment. Our guests have not stopped talking about our wedding reception. At one point Jeff and Rhiannon had all the men (and I mean all of them) on the dance floor serenading me (while I sat on the piano) with "You've Lost That Loving Feeling"...it was a highlight of the night. Not only do they provide the general entertainment of the night they also provide MC services and come with DJ music that can be played during your ceremony, cocktail hour, first dances, etc. Part of what makes their show so great and why our guests had so much fun singing and dancing was that they took song requests throughout the entire night. I can't end this post without also mentioning just how wonderful Jeff and Rhiannon are outside of their amazing talent. After our initial meeting my husband and I literally felt like they were our friends and we needed to get a happy hour on the books. After our wedding, we still feel the same. Rhiannon went above and beyond by offering to look over my wedding timeline to make sure everything from the ceremony to reception flowed. She was so positive and reassuring that I just knew I didn't have anything to worry about. In summary, they are awesome and you should 100% book them for your wedding and/or any other event.

I have been working with Pascal for just over a year and I cannot speak highly enough of Pascal as…read morea guitar instructor. He is not only an exceptionally skilled musician but also an excellent teacher who has transformed my playing in just a short matter of time. Pascal can easily and clearly explain material and concepts, often approaching things from multiple angles to ensure complete understanding. Whether we're working on lead guitar techniques, rhythm guitar fundamentals, or diving into music theory, he maintains a strong balance that keeps lessons engaging and comprehensive. His teaching style is also approachable and professional, which has helped create an environment where I feel comfortable asking questions and pushing myself to improve (something I was nervous about, having never played guitar previously). Although I was at first hesitant about the commitment of in-person lessons, I have also really grown to appreciate the fact that lessons are in-person. Pascal has an eye for detail and a very well-trained ear, which allows him to provide real-time adjustments on everything from basic technique to nuanced elements like the way in which the pick is being held, thumb position, hand placement, and arm angles, etc. I believe these types of corrections that would be difficult to identify on my own (again, having no prior experience), and would likely not come through in most online/recorded lessons. These small refinements have made a large difference in my playing ability, to the point where even minor adjustments (like a slight adjustment to wrist angle) allow me to play a chord or a progression that I was struggling to play on my own during practice. As others have commented, I would also recommend double lessons, which I find to give me a great amount of items to work on before my next lesson. On a personal note, I genuinely look forward to my lessons with Pascal. Pascal's enthusiasm and encouragement have motivated me to practice consistently and focus on development in ways I do not believe I would have if I were learning independently. I also do not feel pressured if I have a busy week and have not been able to dedicate as much time to the material (although that rarely happens, as I enjoy the material so much). My wife has even commented on how much progress I've made in such a short time (she likes listening to me now). As someone who firmly believes you get what you pay for, I can say without hesitation that Pascal is worth every penny. If you're looking for a guitar instructor who will genuinely invest in your growth as a musician, Pascal is an excellent choice.

If you want to be able to pick up a guitar and confidently turn the music in your head into…read morereality, Pascal will get you there. He has the experience, skill, and patience to tailor each of his lessons to provide meaningful and rewarding progress towards your musical goals and, in my case, beyond what I thought I was capable of. I started playing guitar as an adult, and had little idea of what I wanted to get out of the hobby. After years of sporadically learning pieces of songs from online lessons, I came around to the conclusion that I enjoyed guitar enough to take it more seriously. Initially, structured online lessons yield great results, but I quickly started hitting skill plateaus that forced me to move in a different direction to feel like I was making progress. After diversions into music theory, gear acquisition, and some in-person instruction, my interest in guitar was stronger than ever, but I just wasn't getting that much better at playing the thing. Then I found Pascal's website and thought he sounded like someone I should reach out to. The first lesson I had with Pascal completely changed my view of what I could get out of guitar in such a positive way. Biased by my previous experiences learning other instruments, I went in thinking that learning could either be structured and chore-like, or relaxed and fun, but unproductive. I was wrong. Pascal immediately put me on a track that was both structured and personal, and made me enjoy playing so much more. I wish I had hours every day to devote to practicing, but I struggle to find even minutes most days. Even with that constraint, the progress was immediately tangible. One of Pascal's greatest strengths is explaining why he's teaching something and laying out realistic expectations for progression. I became much more aware of the small increments of progress I was making and my basic skills improved dramatically. As lessons progressed, the connections between the lessons became more and more clear. The fretboard transitioned from being intimidating to comfortable, and the fear of getting "lost" started going away. At no point did I have to sit down and memorize anything to get to that place; it happened naturally with the lessons. I waited to write a review for a couple years because I wanted my recommendation to be credible for someone like me: a person whose interest in playing guitar has exceeded their skill and is looking for a teacher to bridge that gap. If that sounds like you, I wholeheartedly recommend reaching out to Pascal!

I LOVE Keys on Main! If I could give it 10 stars I would :) If you think piano bars aren't your "thing", it's because you've never been to Keys on Main! I love piano bars and have been to clubs all over the country, but nothing comes close to the show I saw on Friday and Saturday night. These guys can play just about anything--Billy Joel! Michael Jackson! Elton John! Snoop Dogg! Rihanna! Britney! Disney!-- and the level of talent is just amazing. Best of all, they always make the audience part of the show-they're the ones calling the shots, after all. Loved watching them bring people up on stage and sing them the funny and sometimes raunchy songs piano bars are famous for. I already have a friend in mind that I will be bringing here on her birthday for that specific reason! My favorite thing about this places is that it is one of those rare spots that really truly does offer something for everybody. There was such a diverse mix of people in there this weekend--bachelorette parties, older couples out on the town, a couple rowdy birthday parties, groups of the usual Queen Anne young single people--and every person in there looked like they were having the time of their life. When you think about it, that's not something you see very often! Unlike Pesos and Ozzies, which can get pretty fratty/clubby on the weekends, Keys on Main offers REAL entertainment and a chance to enjoy some live music, hang out with friends, and have a drink without getting my leg humped by some douchebag with a popped collar and a backwards baseball cap. WIN! This spot is one of Queen Anne's newest additions and offers something for everyone: every time I'm there I see a new mix of people, from bachelor/ette parties to girl's nights out to locals just grabbing a beer, this is an awesome spot for just about anyone. The show is all-request so they're always playing music the crowd wants to hear, and it's almost impossible not to have a good time. Just look around the room and you'll see people dancing, playfully "battling" over the music, eating yummy food (not just standard bar fare: try the steak, white truffle mac and cheese or the lemon pepper chicken) and singing along at the top of their lungs. Fridays and Saturdays are a party! The performers are insanely talented and so funny--they work hard and earn every dollar they make in tips! Great for groups, but could also be really fun for a date, however be warned: it's LOUD so don't expect to be able to catch up over dinner here, at least not once the show starts (eat there before 8:30 and you'll be fine)! They don't charge cover like Chopstix used to, which is awesome, so it can be an all-night destination or just a stop on the party train. Drinks are reasonably priced and well-made, and the service has always been good for me. Happy hour every day from 6-7:30 ($4 any drink) and ladies night on Thursday ($3 any drink)--yayuh. A must-go for anyone visiting from out of town...or heck, just anyone! read more

Let me start by saying that I'd been to this piano bar before it became Keys on Main, when it was still called Chopsticks and it was awful, bad service, bad greasy food, creepy entertainers. I was actually dreading coming here but was totally surprised when I walked in. I didn't even recognize the place. You can't beat the location in Lower Queen Anne, right around the corner from lots of other bars and restaurants. What makes this place unique is obviously the live piano show, where two piano players sit across from each other and play/sing audience requests all night.Players are super funny and extremely talented! I've been to piano bars before, both locally (Chopsticks in Seattle and Everett) and in other parts of the country and I can honestly say that Keys on Main put on the best show I've ever seen. I'm very picky about my live music and the production value here is so high (lights-drums-mixing-electric guitars-you-name-it)...SO much better than some old fart plinking out blah jazz standards or god forbid creepily attempting "Closer" by nine inch nails (yes this happened when I came to Chopsticks three years ago. all i can say is ew haha) The food was much better than I expected, a big improvement on what the old place had to offer. My girlfriends and I shared the mac and cheese (delish) and the spinach artichoke dip and I would definitely order them both again. Drink service was a little slow but they were slammed so I can get over that, plus our waitress was super sweet. Can't believe that they don't charge cover for a place like this with a show like that! I can't wait to come back read more

Was here last weekend for St. Patricks day and had a blast! We liked Chopstix, but we LOVE Keys on Main and my friends and I have declared it our new favorite place in Queen Anne, if not the whole city! The new club looks so much better and we really liked their new cocktail menu. Their greeter/doorperson recommended the "10 Cane Mojito" and she was right...it was awesome. The show was as great, if not better, as it always has been and we laughed and danced and sang all night. We even had some out of town friends with us that night who commented more than once on how cool the bar was and how they wished they had something like that where they're from (Arizona). I was susprised when I saw a review complaining about the service because our server was awesome, and quick. We were with a pretty big group of slighlty (ok more than slightly--it was St Paddys day!) intoxicated people and she still managed to understand our orders and get everything right, and fast. I think her name was Sarah? Anyway, go Sarah, if thats you. you rock girl! It can't be easy to work in a place that loud but she was great. If you come hungry, try the macaroni and cheese...not sure if it was the beer talking or if it was just plain delicious, but you need to give it a shot. We ordered seconds. I went on Saturday for my 22nd birthday and can say without a doubt we'll be back! We had a group of about 18 people and everyone in our party says they'll be going here again. The service was great, all of the staff was there to make sure we had a great night! We were seated in the VIP lounge and before the show started all of the piano players came and introduced themselves and let us know how the show works. The drinks were great and reasonably priced. They played everything! Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Journey, Bon Jovi, Sir Mix A Lot, Grease, Alicia Keys, Garth Brooks anything you could think of :) If you've never been check it out. Some of my friends said they weren't sure about a piano bar... but by the end of the night they all said that was one of the best nights we've had out. Plus the guys were all happy there was no cover charge! It was a great mix of people. We were all very formal for my birthday and didn't feel too dressed up but you could go in more causal and still fit right in. I loved Keys on Main, can't wait to go back! Very fun. The piano players are very talented and seem to know about every song, I love dueling piano and these guys are about the best show I've seen. I think they are WAY better then the cheesier Chopsticks show that they replaced! I saw that they are doing karaoke Sunday -Wednesday so I went last night. It was not crowded, so I got to sing a bunch. The sound system is great and everyone is friendly, it was a blast. They have every song... Computerized. Cool. Very cool place... And who can beat $1 drafts? I also thought it was very cool that the KJ didn't put herself into the rotation... We had to coaxed her to sing, how totally cool is that? And despite one negative review here on yelp about not getting service.... I had been in about 5 times since the change... The service has been awesome every time .... I have NEVER sat with an empty glass and I have been there when the place is packed with batchlorette parties or college grads... It can be a hoppin place and the staff are totally on top of it! They don't serve food however... So stop by pagliachi's and grab a slice to bring with you... Or call and have a pizza delivered to your table, yep, they will do it! :) read more

Came here on a really busy Saturday last weekend and had a great time! We walked by with a group of friends and were drawn in because we saw a sign stating they no longer charge cover! The show is amazing of course, but the food and drinks were surprisingly good for what used to be a gross dive bar (Chopstix). I was really impressed by the changes they've made in their remodel and the bar looks beautiful! The bartender (Clay?) was quick and even though he was clearly very busy (there were probably about 200 people in the place that night) he was friendly and made great drinks for me and my friends. We showed up without a reservation--we won;t make that mistake again because it was PACKED when we got there--but their hostess was great and made a special effort to carve out space for the six of us right before the show started. I ordered the Kobe burger and my husband ordered Lemon Pepper chicken--both were excellent. Since we live just up the hill we will definitely be back, even if its just to eat dinner on an off-night! I started going to this place back when it was Chopstix, and I'm still in love with the dueling piano nights, so it loses one star for dropping that down to only two nights a week and replacing the other three nights with open mic and karaoke (if I want karaoke I will go to a karaoke bar). That aside, I easily spent $40 on tips for the piano players alone when I lived nearby. I'd go about once a month or once every two months with a friend or two, and if I had a friend who had never been, I made sure to mention it was their birthday. Best fun ever. I received many death threats from my friends as they stood up there. The players are amazing, and they EARN every dollar of those tips in terms of talent and interaction with the room. Tip: A couple songs they do best are Great Balls of Fire (Jerry Lee Lewis) and Do You Love Me Now That I Can Dance. You will shriek like the original fans as they slam on the ivories. And don't skip The Devil Went Down to Georgia, whatever you do. When "Johnny" starts playing, you get a real treat. What is it? Well, you'll just have to request it and find out. read more

My girlfriend had her birthday here a couple months ago and we decided to go back for St Patricks day on Saturday cause it was really fun when it was chopstix. We stopped by with two of our friends around 11 and the piano players were doing Dont Stop Believing with an electric guitar so naturally we had to go in. Bartenders were fast and drinks were reasonably priced. We decided to save the waitresses some trouble and just order our drinks from the bar, but even though we didn't have one, there was a girl who kept coming and checking in on us, refilling water, seeing if we needed anything which was pretty cool since they were super busy. The $7 cover was kind of a bummer at first, but totally worth it when you think about how its live entertainment and they can play whatever you want. We liked that they served Guinness (couldn't get it at Pesos WTF) and that we got a table for four right when we walked in...seemed like every seat was a good seat here. There were people in the VIP area and that looked cool, might have even sprung for it if it wasnt already occupied. Maybe next time. read more

I was so excited to review this place that I created a yelp account just to brag about them. I was just here for the first time and loved it! I'd never been to a dueling piano bar except for in Vegas, and this place completely BLEW THE VEGAS SHOWS OUT OF THE WATER. I know that sounds hard to believe, but you need to see it for yourself! We got there early for their happy hour ($4 any drink from 6-7:30) and ate dinner before the show, which meant we didn't have to pay the $7 cover, and we got a table for the start of the show which was nice cause it filled up fast once the show started. The drinks were strong, the service was friendly and other people in the bar seemed like they were having a lot of fun--everyone was singing, dancing, and laughing along with the show! When you really think about it, its unbelievable how talented the piano players must be because they can play literally anything that gets requested...I can't believe the range of music we heard that night, SO cool! read more

I've been going to Keys on Main on and off for several years now. Service from the bar has always been great for me - even if they are busy - and the drinks and entertainment have both been top notch! Like everyone else says, it's a great place for a group party of any kind with tons of fun energy. Screwdriver Bar

During my Fall stay in Belltown this cool quaint spot was recommended to me based off of a set of…read morecriteria I asked from my bartender at another spot: dive-y, cocktails, preferably records/vinyl DJs, and cool vibes. The bartender said Screwdriver Bar. I looked it up, closed my tab, and walked over to Screwdriver Bar which was a short walk back to my hotel. Score! First off don't get confused. There is one (1) door attendant possibly for two venues?! I want to say there was a venue on top of this bar. Either way I saw Screwdriver Bar was downstairs so be sure you kinda know where you are going. Screwdriver Bar is (seemingly) free from a cover. I walked down the steps and entered a whole world of vinyl records, throw back artwork and memorabilia that filled the very top of the ceiling all the way down to the tables and floor. This spot made me feel welcomed right off the bat with laughter, people dancing, and a busy bar staff serving up all the drinks from tallboys to fancy hand shaken cocktails. I really enjoyed my time here when I visited. On the menu I thought I saw a dumpling type of food situation going on. I know I smelled good warm food smells but I did not have a chance to order anything (I ate somewhere else). Mostly locals here which made me feel good as the recommendation was spot on and the others here were all having a great time which was the vibe I needed during my stay in Belltown.

It was pretty packed on Friday or Saturday, can't quite remember which day I was there. I didn't order but nobody at the table had problems with service. The music was loud, and everyone was talking, yet a chill vibe, everyone just having a good time. I'd easily come back and I recommend.

It reminded me of clubbing in Berlin and there were music styles for every group. My only regret was not bringing my concert earplugs it is LOUD. Also be careful when you're walkind around! There's a lot of pathways and stairs and I saw a couple of people falling down.

Blue Moon Tavern

20 MAY 2026 -- I performed poetry from Purple Rose: The Stars Carry Her Name -- Letters from Me to…read moreHer at the historic and legendary Blue Moon Tavern in Seattle. Originally opened in 1934, the Blue Moon carries the kind of atmosphere you cannot recreate -- walls covered in decades of music, art, stickers, photographs, and stories. A dimly lit room packed with musicians, writers, artists, and people who genuinely appreciate creativity in its raw form. Throughout the night, the stage moved between live music, poetry, and performances from local artists while the crowd filled the tavern from the bar to the stage floor. Places like this remind me why independent art still matters. As an author traveling all over the United States -- and as someone who lived in the Seattle area for 2 1/2 years -- standing on that stage reading poetry from Purple Rose in a venue with this much history behind it was really something special. What I loved most was how welcoming the environment was. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly, art-friendly space where people genuinely support one another. If you are brand new to open mics or nervous about sharing your work for the first time, this is the kind of place where you will absolutely be shown kindness and encouragement. There were so many talented musicians, poets, and performers there, and you could really feel the appreciation for creativity throughout the room. The setup of the tavern itself is awesome. The stage and seating area wrap around the bar in almost a U-shape, so you can really choose your own vibe for the night. If you want to stay close to the performances and music, there is a dance floor and table area near the stage. If you want something more relaxed, you can hang back near the bar, have a drink, and still enjoy the atmosphere without being directly in the middle of everything. They also have a full bar, arcade games, board games, books to read, and even a small library on the shelves throughout the tavern. Somewhere inside, you may even find a signed copy of Purple Rose that I left hidden and dedicated to the historic Blue Moon itself. Beautiful evening with wonderful people. If you are ever in the area and have a skill you would love to share, go share your art. Find your copy of Purple Rose at JamesVThePoet.com

There were just 3-4 other men in the bar (no ladies!) having a drink. I had a well drink and my companion had a cider. Each was poured nicely and were good. No complaints. The bartender was nice and attentive. This place has a lower level with a pool table, bathrooms, etc. so it's much larger than it seems when you walk in. Divey atmosphere but in a good way.
