Keyes Memorial Beach Hyannis Ma. 02601

Keyes Memorial Beach Hyannis MA. 02601 "Nice family beach" or, with that "special someone", right next to Sea Street / Beach but, its really off Ocean Ave. This beach faces south with an nice view towards the Nantucket sound, it boarders Hyannis and Hyannis-port. Its a nice quite area. Not overrun, so if you like peace and quiet- you found it, without commercialization or the roar and mobs of maniacs. The beach has a net for Volleyball and is great for anyone especially the kiddos. The beach is nice, you can walk out a distance and the water gets warm and comfortable. There's a nice view and you can see the ferry's daily making there way to the Hyannis Docks to the left and off to Nantucket to the right. If your looking to "power tan" its really nice because it faces "south" and you get more exposure without having turn so much verses east/west facing beaches. Decent size parking lot with a porta pottie. Typical Beach rates for Barnstable unless you are a resident with a vehicle sticker or walk-in free. In the back of the parking lot there are picnic tables and facilities from Sea Street Beach area. Enjoy--- fun and sun, on Cape time!

Cute little public beach located in Cape Cod. Our party of three were the only souls there on a cold and cloudy late evening. The setting sun, the sound of the gentle wave, and the emptiness of the sandy beach were very poetic. A parking lot was available next to the beach, free during our visit.

Beautiful views of the Kennedy compound and other luxe residences. Many areas are closed off due to birds' nesting so in some areas there was little room to walk.

My trip to Eugenia Fortes was quiet and peaceful. I talked to some local speedwalking moms (my people!) and got into some gossip about the local celebrity homes. (We're talking about you college scandal parents!) It was fun to catch up but then I was on my merry way. I wore my oversized sunnies, a flowy skirt, a big hat, and enjoyed my feet in the sand. Not many were on the beach and the dock was desolate. As I walked closer to the sands in front of JFK's home I quieted my mind and thought of what it must have been like for him to grow up here, to then use this place as his safe haven as a President, the losses this home felt, and in turn John John's plane being out in that water. Dried up crab shells were all around. I could pick up any shell I wanted. The sand was cool and soft under my feet. These moments all to myself, these grand old Americana homes on the water, the beautiful sun glistening on the ocean... I get it. It really is stunning and the legacy can be felt on your skin when the wind blows.
