When durf arrived and I explained to him what the problem was, he took my car into the back of the building stating it would be ready for me briefly. When he brought it back out he had just advised me that he had removed my brand new fully synthetic oil and put in Quaker steat garbage with a new filter and was charging me $86. When I told him he had just dumped $90.00 of oil and a $23.00 oil filter in the garbage that didn't even have 50 miles on them, he laughed and stated "Oh well your loss!!!". I told him that he knew what the car was there for and had done something that was totally not asked for, he just laughed again and said pay your bill and get your car out of here. I told him I wasn't paying because I did not ask for it and he told me that I could pick up my car when the bill was paid. Had I had more time (because I was leaving to go out of town to Georgia that afternoon) I would have called the cops and had them sort the mess out. To sum up the story don't trust them with anything if you value your vehicle and your wallet. Needless to say very bad service, a very crappy business attitude, as well as a thief to anybody he feels he can push around due to their age or sex. They seemed pleasant, very pleasant, making comments like "this is the best place to work!" I saw the owner, silver haired old man, walking around, keeping an eye. After two hours of waiting, the receptionist came back with her iPad and started showing me pictures of my brake and quoted me $1200, labor alone was priced at $463.00! Along, with the brakes, they had 9 other recommended services, which they said was urgent. All together, the additional service was another $3000. I was desperate and needed my car the next day for a trip, which I had shared with the receptionist. She told me they'll take great care of the car and even gave me some discount and automatically enrolled me in their loyalty program. While I was waiting, I saw three other customers enter the door. Two older men and one young woman. I picked up my car next morning and took it to another reputable place, Sweeneys Garage, and was told my brakes are good for few more months and all of the other work they highly recommended, I didn't need!! Do not go here. The silver hair old man is a scammer! This place preys on the vulnerable and is a prime example of rip off mechanics!!

At auto zone you can do it for free. When I mentioned this to him he started to tweak out saying well my machine is 6,000 dollars and theirs is only 50. Well guess what, I did take it to them and they narrowed it down to two things one of being what was actually wrong with the car. Next he charges me 30 for a gas cap. I get it you have to make money but 60 for the scan and 30 for the cap all together is robbery. Whenever I go to my guy he never charges for the scans and will actually work with you. This guy didn't like that I had said I was upset about the price and then he starts going off on me. You would think being a smaller shop you'll try to work with the community for a better experience yet I get charged dealership fees for a small business. I will not be returning and sticking to my guy who won't rip others off. I later called around a bunch of small businesses none of them charge close to 60 for a scan
