Simple little place with a small amount of seating but perfectly cozy and accommodating, used to be owned by Kevin but has recently been taken over by Maria and husband Fillepe, this is truly a mom and pop location an mostly a one person show on most days. After watching on News12 LI , Kevin The owner of the coffee shop was retiring after some 25+ years, I decided to stop by to meet the new owners, Maria, it's no surprise why is Little luncheonette was a hometown favorite, speaking to one of the Diner's who informed me that he has been eating there since high school, and at the food taste just as good as the first day, and the service is absolutely outstanding. Maria is very friendly, the menu is a simple breakfast lunch menu available all day, this is cash only, there is a public parking lot next-door. I was also informed that I came at the right time usually in the morning hours they are very busy again by the service, the food, the quality and the prices I can see why people love this luncheonette, Maria gave me a sample of her own secret oatmeal it might I say it was absolutely delicious. It was sweet and had just the right amount of cinnamon,, the cheeseburger was cooked perfectly, she highly recommended the western omelette, which was great, and. What I've been told she has kept the same recipe of Kevin's, famous home, fries, and they were fantastic just the right amount of spice. They were soft and had a tomato-based taste to it., The famous Kevin egg sandwich is their specialty, if you wanted to add all bacon, ham, sausage, they called the King Kone special, they do offer a whole wheat bread, which is good, I love the cinnamon French toast, and Maria gave me a special berry sauce, mixture of raspberries and blueberries,, she also said that she might be offering empanadas soon,, highly recommend I'm glad that she's keeping the tradition going with the new generation of Diner's to enjoy read more

Wife and I have been searching for a little coffee/breakfast place for years. This place is small, and you can expect it to be super busy during peak breakfast time, because the food is really good. Wow I moved to Oceanside about 6 months ago I've been here 4 times now for the Kevin breakfast special I showed up while my sandwich was being cooked i asked for pepper ketchup like I did on the phone he put the sandwich in front of me on the counter I'm like ok so I opened it up and put ketchup on it , noticed there is one slice of bacon on the bec i asked for more bacon , the owner told me you go to Long Beach and pay 9$ for egg sandwich then , this is 5$ i was so taken back i was speechless I paid my bill and left , I like supporting mom and pop but this place won't get my business anymore read more

Where do I begin? The kind service or the fact that this place is run by one of the most adorable and friendly married couple I've ever met? If my boyfriend have never mentioned about this place, I would've thought that it was just another ordinary diner. My boyfriend brought me here for some brunch Saturday, he highly recommends this place. I give this place a 4.5 stars out of 5. It was a little messy when we arrived. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg and side of fries. We also wanted some pancakes so we shared a stack of pancakes as a dessert to our meal. Kevin is the guy that mans the grill and boy, this man is great at what he's doing. His wife (I didn't quite get her name) takes care of the counter service and assists Kevin. The burger was tasty, fries were alright. Just your usual french fries. I heard the home fries/potatoes are a highlight along with the Kevin special. (Will come back to try) pancakes were delicious. It was nice and fluffy. My boyfriend says the secret is the grill, it retains all the bacon-y goodness onto the pancakes. Now onto service; Kevin and his wife are super friendly! They checked up on us to see if everything was alright. They have a photo frame behind the counter that plays a slideshow of the customers that visit. This was my first time here and kevin asked to take a photo of my boyfriend and I to post on his Facebook page for the business. His theme are his customers. For years I've heard nothing but praise about how good Kevin's coffee shop is. I finally decided to give it a try and honestly I'm thrilled that I did. My two eggs were fluffy and yummy but the main attraction (for me at least) was the homefries! I'm very picky about homefries and these are probably the best I've ever had. Also, Kevin is great. When I arrived the shop was a little crowded and it was just him manning the grill. He did a great job fulfilling everyone's orders in a very timely fashion. Will definitely returning!! read more

I've been going to Kevin's at least once a week ritually since I moved to oceanside back in 2015. I've never had an issue with Kevin, the grill master and back bone to this spot but his wife on the other hand has always been rude and nasty. And after what happened today, I can honesty say I will never be returning to Kevin's and the 24 hour bagel spot now has a faith full customer. I ordered my regular, a King Kong double bacon with home fries on the sandwich and on the side, but what i got was a regular bacon egg and cheese with home fries on the side. When I told Kevin's wife that she got my order wrong she told me that's what he made so I have to eat it and if I want home fries on it I can put it on my self. I'm sorry but I've worked and been a manager in the customer service industry for years and never have I experienced nor seen any one provide such disgusting customer service. I bit my tongue and tried to just enjoy what was on my plate but the potatoes were cold and the bacon was under cooked and chewy and I couldn't bear to finish any of it. While sitting there I noticed my order was not the only one that was messed up but even so none of the other customer were treated as rudely as I was, everyone else was apologized to but even so their orders were never corrected. I didn't want to cause a scene or complain in front of the other customer since they were a bit busy so after I left I took it upon myself to call and let Kevin's wife know what she did was wrong and rude and she then proceeded to yell and tell me not to come back to Kevin's again. read more
