I've went here a few times. So I figured I'd give my take on it. I've been going to this place ever since I've been visiting my friend in Long Beach, NY. It's on E Park Ave, which is the main street that runs through the town, so it's easy to find. Sometimes my coworker who lives out here comes with us too. We always end up grabbing breakfast here and for good reason. The interior is very clean, and they have a nice outdoor section as well. We sat outside last time since it was so nice out. Our waitress was very professional when she seated us and took all our orders. We all ordered breakfast omelettes, except my friend for who ordered eggs Benedict. We can tell everything was made fresh and all cooked to perfection. Everything came out in a very timely manner as well. If you're visiting Long Beach, NY, definitely go here for breakfast! You will not be disappointed with your visit in the atmosphere that this place brings. After all, there's a reason why we always go back when we're in this area. read more

Sooo, they must be doing something good for the general population, to me the food didn't have enough flavor. My Cajun steak burrito was probably the best tasting. Once I pulled a few pieces out to taste the steak it had more flavor, otherwise the flavor is drowned out in all that comes in a burrito. My mom's vegetable hot pot coconut soup didn't have any flavor at all, not even coconut I taste. She only ate the 3 little pieces of corn. They didn't comp the soup because we should have said something sooner. My mom Is 90 and didn't express fully until the end. My friend chicken breast tastes ok, it was dry though. I sent the drink to take out the ice and add a little more tequila. It came back worst in every way. My friend bourbon blackberry smash was good. Nothing is special regarding the ambiance. read more

Our waitress was amazing. Her name was Megan. She was very knowledgeable with the menu. We were also able to be seated right away as a party of 6 on a Wednesday summer evening. The drinks were good. I had a watermelon margarita. The chicken nachos were the best thing I ate. The sun dried chicken wrap was okay. The chicken was very bland. Didn't taste like anything and ruined the dish, even though the other components of the wrap tasted fine. The crab cakes were good. The coconut curry was delicious. read more

Our favorite Saturday date night spot! East end location. My boyfriend in general loves their music playlist (think Incubus, Blink 182, pop punk, beach tunes. One night it was an odd playlist but it's only happened once so far!) Place has a good vibe and a good loyal following, but overall can't give it a great rating. Food was fine but service was pretty terrible. delivery business here has gotten way too big at the expense of people trying to dine in--I watched full brown shopping bags leaving kitchen every 5 minutes for an hour. Consequently It took nearly an hour for our order of 3 tacos and a cheeseburger to arrive and it felt like hours. The fried calamari was great but again it took 40 minutes to see that. The burger and tacos were fine but nothing extraordinary. With this hot delivery biz there must be some great menu items but we didn't taste that. If they put some bread, crackers, chips, or something on the tables the wait may not feel so excruciating, for a casual dining experience. Maybe this is just an after beach cocktail bar-nothing wrong with that - and it maybe COVID 19 has just impacted the restaurant industry to where nobody can really handle the volume of business that's out there with the reopening. Net, net i have still not found my "go to" place in LB for a great sit down dinner. read more

We love the bungalow! It's our go-to spot for our family when we can't decide for lunch or dinner. Their food is great and delicious and our children loves their sandwiches! My 4 year old is a picky eater, but when it comes to bungalow, she will inhale the sandwich in a heartbeat! The staff is amazing too! They make you feel so welcomed and like home. Was working in the area I'm not usually in this neighborhood and i pulled over to find a place for breakfast... it so happened I was in front of this cool looking awesome place ... looks like a tiki bar... very retro and so u comfortable looking I sat at the bar... the girl behind the bar was attentive and made me feel welcome ... The East end the West end...if you are a LB resident you might have a favorite, but in the end it's all about the quality of the food selection you order, the service and atmosphere. This location has that old school traditional tavern feel upon entry. Large visible bar straight ahead with plenty of screen viewing of any game I'm sure, and plenty of locals around it enjoying a good spirit. To the right of entering it opens into tables and booths. Pretty comfy, cozy without being on top of each other. Again a TV infront and back, so you can position yourself just right if you want to keep a side eye on all the action while enjoying lunch, dinner or a late night snack. 1st star earned upfront here for atmosphere! The server/host, bartender, bus boy were all very pleasant. Smiles are contagious and they all flashed them throughout the experience from start to finish. 2nd star earned here for customer service! My waitress for the evening was pretty knowledgeable of the menu and highlighted some of their top sellers. So going with the grain on this first visit a Blood Orange Margarita for me, pretty darn tasty and garnished with a blood orange sphere to dress it up, Nice! 3rd star earned for a well made, balanced beverage! *Warning it is a margarita so does come with salted rim. Next time I will remember to minus that, as to me it takes away from the flavor vs adding to it. Add a Chicken Empanada appetizer [2] that comes with a chipotle dipping sauce and a red cabbage slaw. Credit where credit is due for not being an overly greasy, fried pocket of goodness. Exterior was crispy with that initial crunch into juicy, tender, shredded and seasoned protein, again Nice! Chipotle dipping sauce, good true to taste spiced ranch flavoring. So if your in need or like that, dip away. Empanadas come atop of a red cabbage slaw. I'm sure to aid in pulling any grease away, but also to give it that fun, fresh, crisp, creamy snap! Not overly vinegary or mayo, just right. Again remember its on the plate so you can eat it, not just a garnish, dive in if your heart desires. 4th star earned for well made and sized Empanada appetizer for the price! Finally to round out the visit opted to try their BBQ chicken avocado tacos. Now I know the waitress suggested that the fish tacos were worth a try too, but for my first time in had to play it safe and see what a slightly dressed up standard taco would present as. You get 3 tacos made on very traditional Mexican corn like tortillas that you would see/get in Mexico, so nice touch in keeping things authentic. The chicken was breaded just enough to crisp it up vs being grilled, which personally I think is most appropriate to hold those drizzles of BBQ sauce, and what appeared to be maybe a spicy mayo. Again right amount of sauce without over doing it. Add the avocado and put it atop fresh lettuce and tomato and you have one heck of a taco(s)! These 3 perfectly sized and plattered tacos came with a side of freshly made house tortillas. Again not under or over done, just right and dried enough to not be greasy to the fingertips. Could they have added a touch of salt or seasoning, well I will leave that up to the chef and his known clientele, but if it were me that would have been a nice added touch. So whether it's 'Taco Tuesday', or Thursday ;P or any night of the week, they got a winner here. 5th star earned for the tasty BBQ chicken avocado tacos, and a completely great experience all the way around. If it wasn't so late when I got there, maybe I would have checked out a dessert menu. I guess I'll just have to come back to try out more of their menu and leave room for dessert! Regardless of what might have been said in the past from others, take what a foodie of the present has to say with some value, your tastebuds will be happy! read more

Food is good, lots of fun choices and beers........ BUT it is illegal to NOT display PRIOR to customer receiving the check that there are two different prices for cash or card. "Credit Card Surcharges Permissible Under Certain Circumstances The short answer is that merchants must comply with certain requirements if they charge different prices based on the customer's payment method. Two of the critical things that a merchant must do are (1) state the policy or price clearly and in advance" Sorry but it's the cost of doing business and now you want to pass it off to the customers, at least comply with the law. read more

Food was sort fine, but if you go on a Sunday night be prepared for your food to take over an hour. Seems like they prioritize take out/pick up orders over the people inside (2 tables), because there's no way it should take an hour and 10 minutes to overcook a burger. read more

This was a sad experience. The server was very pleasant although not attentive. Coffee served no sugar, two drinks one straw. Waited a long time for food and mine came room temperature. Had to get up and find someone because of the lack of attentiveness. Ultimately they were sorry and offered another order but in the end my dining group was too far a long eating and we had somewhere to go. For the price...this was a poor choice at best. Once check was dropped even had to find them to pay. Not for me. Also if you like eggs Benedict and hollandaise sauce...good luck spotting it in the dish. read more

I have been coming to this place since in opened in it's first location. The last few times I have been in there it seems there are a bunch of teenagers running the place. The music is so obnoxiously loud ( and BAD) that you can't even carry on a conversation with your dinner companions. Is this a restaurant or a club? The waitress who has served me before is very sweet but terrible at her job. We asked her 3 times for plates and she seemed like she had no idea what we were talking about. I thing some adult supervision is needed to entice adults to come in to dine. If this were my business I'd be a little more on top of things. read more

Granted they're busy the first weekend because they moved into the Old Geri's ( too bad) First they can't handle a take out order, because I was told to call back when I had to substitute something that was on The old menu and not on the new. Had too call back and of course, they got my order wrong. But what struck me the most was the check. The owner has passed along the fee to use a credit card to the customer . Yep that's right . Instead of absorbing the cost as a convenience for his customers, like every other restaurant on the earth , he tacks the fee on to your check. If I were him I would change that quick. read more

Have ordered from here for pickup and the food has always been pretty good. I get their eggs benedict and loved them. Egg sandwiches could be better, they are mostly bread and barely any egg bacon or cheese. Decided to eat in for breakfast for the first time and was pretty disappointed in the food, considering takeout has always been fine. Got the eggs benedict- english muffin was overly toasted it was almost impossible to eat, i tried to eat it but couldn't halfway and asked for another one. Used to come here a lot a few years ago. It was always part of my "Long Beach" get-away day. Beach, Restaurant with a nice relaxed coastal vibe, Good smoothies, fresh ingredients. Sad to say that it's not the same that I remembered. Their smoothies are still thick & fantastic (Creamsicle ALWAYS, PLEASE!..and $2 with a meal), but the quality of their food went downhill. Used to like their Shrimp & Guac wrap, now being low-inflammatory and gluten-free, I decided on the BBQ Chicken Kebab Meal with a Salad. The generous iceberg lettuce with shredded carrot and tomato tasted faintly of dish water. The chicken kebabs were pre-cooked meat (probably used for their sandwiches), skewered and grilled, which made them tough and dry. The BBQ sauce was super spicy! Friend's steak kebab was chewy, fatty, and tough. Little marinade or flavor in both meats. Very disappointed in a chill, nice little restaurant. Been here twice. A small unassuming restaurant. Once you get in there is a nice vibe, good music, great service and a variety a drinks from smoothies to great mixed drinks. Food we've had includes wings, tacos, wraps. Everything I had from the berry smoothie to the blue Hawaiian drink has been pretty good. The wings are really nice size and not dry. The portion of the tacos are huge so I never make it dessert. Will be back again. read more

If it's the bungalow west that place was amazing. Amazing atmosphere and warm welcome as soon as you walk in. Food was absolutely delicious. Bungalow east on the other hand you wouldn't even know it's the same place. Different style and can get hectic. But if ever in the area either location is where I'll be stopping at. read more
