Since my insurance covers one pair of orthotics every two years I agreed. A coworker in the same union with the exact same insurance plan had previously received full coverage for orthotics through this office, so I had no reason to expect an issue. When I received my bill, the orthotics were not fully covered. I first contacted my insurance company to verify my benefits, and they confirmed my coverage. I then contacted the billing department, where I was told they would reach out to my insurance. Instead, I continued receiving the same bill with no explanation. This cycle went on for a year. Believing it was a coding issue, I began calling the doctor's office directly because I needed the claim corrected and resubmitted. I left multiple messages and eventually spoke with a medical assistant who said they would look into it. The only result was another bill for the exact same amount. After that, every time I called the office and specifically asked to speak with the medical assistant, I was transferred to billing instead. Eventually, the office stopped taking my calls altogether. The only callback I received was from someone in billing who was extremely rude and repeatedly insisted the balance was my responsibility. He eventually suggested a three-way call with my insurance company. During that call, my insurance representative stated that the claim contained coding errors and that additional information from the doctor's office was needed for the claim to be processed correctly. They even commented that the coding "made no sense." Because billing could not correct the medical coding, both the billing representative and my insurance company instructed me to contact the doctor's office. Unfortunately, the office has continued to ignore my calls and messages. It has now been weeks without any response. When I contacted my insurance again to ask how to file a complaint, I was told I would need to appeal the claim, but I was now outside the 180-day appeal window and would probably be denied. They also informed me they had no record of the billing department ever contacting them, despite my being repeatedly told that they would. While my appointment with Dr. Briskin itself was uneventful, the complete lack of follow-up, poor communication, refusal to address what appears to be a coding error, and the dismissive treatment from the office and billing departments have been beyond frustrating. What should have been a simple billing correction turned into a year-long ordeal where I was repeatedly ignored, passed around, and left to fix a problem that was not of my making. The fact that the office allowed this situation to drag on for so long, then stopped responding entirely, is completely unacceptable. I have never experienced this level of disregard from a medical office before. A practice should not only provide care during an appointment but also take responsibility when issues arise afterward. Instead, I was left feeling dismissed and abandoned over a problem their own billing process created. I sincerely hope others think twice before trusting this office. No patient should have to spend over a year fighting just to get a simple insurance issue corrected. This has been an incredibly stressful and exhausting experience, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

This last visit, I was told by his office staff that my insurance would not pay for them. Now I have always had the same insurance, so I contacted my insurance company and they said the lady in the office put down the wrong code and to have her change it. I tried calling his office several times and they would not speak to me. I had the insurance people call instead, and the lady would not take their call. Bottom line now I am going to find a new Podiatrist. So sad, because I really like this doctor. Dr. Briskin's office staff is inefficient. Penny L.

He not only gives you far more time than you'd expect from a doctor these days, that time is filled with clear, sound intelligence and a great deal of compassion. In every visit I've had with him, he went above & beyond - including analyzing foot x-rays (via text message) I had taken in the UK while my foot was healing. Yes, the office is filled with doggies. They bark when you arrive, but ultimately are quiet big furry babies. If you have problems with dogs, take that into consideration. But I had no problem whatsoever. The office staff and his assistants are efficient and respectful. If you want a big, shiny ultra modern Doctor's office, this isn't the place. It's the coziest doctor's office I've ever seen in LA/Santa Monica. But the advice is sound, the follow-up is superb and he truly cares about his patients. I had an extremely disappointing experience with this provider…read more I first saw him in January 2026 after my medial foot pain, which I had been dealing with for nearly two years, flared up again. I had a total of five appointments between January and May and every visit felt extremely rushed. I felt like I had only a minute or two to explain my symptoms because there were so many patients scheduled before, during and after me. At my first appointment, I was prescribed a compounded topical cream that cost $85 through a boutique pharmacy and wasn't covered by insurance. Throughout my treatment, the provider repeatedly recommended stem cell/PRP injections, which cost thousands of dollars and also aren't covered by insurance, despite never performing a thorough hands-on examination of my foot. During one visit, he had a student shadowing him and asked her opinion on my diagnosis before either of them had physically examined my foot. After an MRI showed a chronic ATFL sprain, the provider began discussing surgery for this, which is on the lateral (outside) of the foot, even though my pain and issues had always been on the medial (inside) of my foot. Because I was desperate for relief, I agreed to try custom orthotics but they were designed to address the ATFL findings rather than my ongoing medial pain and suspected flatfoot/posterior tibial tendon dysfunction. They provided no relief. This final appointment to pick up the orthotics was my breaking point. Once again, stem cell/PRP injections were recommended and as the provider had one foot out the door, he said "You'll be okay, Mommy and Daddy can pay for it." I was shocked. As a young woman who fully supports herself and had already spent roughly $700 at this practice, in addition to thousands of dollars seeking answers elsewhere, I found the comment incredibly unprofessional, disrespectful and dismissive. After this experience, I sought a second opinion from an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon. He performed a comprehensive evaluation and confirmed that my pain was coming from the medial side of my foot due to ligament tear, validating the concerns I had expressed all along. I recently had the procedure done to repair the ligament and am very happy with the care I received elsewhere. Based on my experience, I absolutely do not recommend this provider. The bedside manner and ego of this provider was horrible. I felt rushed, unheard and repeatedly steered toward expensive treatments that were not covered by insurance, while the actual source of my pain went unaddressed.

It was my first time choosing a doctor through Yelp, so I was a little nervous, but I'm so glad I did. I originally went in for orthotics. He had a new & different pair created for me that worked far better, and I really appreciated how proactive and committed he was to getting it right. Dr. Khadavi is warm, truly listens, and genuinely cares about his patients. I've since gone back to him for additional foot needs and continue to appreciate his responsiveness and attentiveness. Most of us wouldn't even know you could have that many right? I'm an avid researcher and I spend an inordinate amount of time mulling over the details before purchasing anything so you can imagine how much effort I put into finding a surgeon who's going to operate on me. I went to get a consult with another surgeon at a swanky office in Santa Monica who writes for medical journals on orthopedic surgery so I wasn't going to any schmo. He recommended breaking my foot in three separate places including my ankle and allowing that to heal for 6 months, do physical therapy for a couple more and then repeat on my other foot. Needless to say, I was not a fan of the Frankenstein foot approach and going through a process that will take over a year to complete. Not a lot of surgeons will do both feet at the same time. There's a benefit to it as a patient because it's one operation and one recovery time vs two. Doctors don't like that because they prefer to do two surgeries and get paid for two. Dr. Kaye does have a nominal fee for doing both at the same time but in all honesty, I would have paid at least twice that for all the hassle he saved me. I'm a busy working mom and I don't have the time to sit around because my feet are out of commission. I swear you will have minimal pain if you keep your feet elevated and iced as instructed by Dr. Kaye. By day 2, I was off prescribed meds and taking just Motrin. By week 2 I was walking on both feet in a soft boot, no cast. That's pretty amazing for someone who just had bone surgery. Another amazing thing about Dr. Kaye's office is Kathy, his office manager. She was on top of all my appointment reminders and she dealt with my insurance company directly so I didn't have to. It was great! Ten months later, I'm easing into my high heels and my only regret is not doing a Yelp review sooner. Thank you Dr. Kaye and Kathy for all you've done!

He doesn't need to work, you a tell that from his success and all the celebrity letters. He does it for the passion. He's also pragmatic, isn't 'hand-wavy' with new tech, and focuses on fundamentals. The only minor area for improvement is the administrative side; the office a digital experience for tracking billing, viewing receipts, or managing records online. It's a bit of a manual process, but honestly, for the level of care and expertise Dr. Levi provides, it is a very small price to pay. If you want a podiatrist who actually cares about the 'why' behind your pain, this is the place to go.
