I had an appointment today at Arrowhead Orthopedic Clinic located at 4234 Riverwalk Drive at 7:00 AM, and my experience was excellent from start to finish. The entire staff was very professional, customer-oriented, and welcoming. From the receptionist to the medical assistant and the lady who performed my X-ray, everyone was friendly, helpful, and smiling, which made the visit very comfortable. Barry Graeme was absolutely amazing. He took the time to thoroughly discuss my condition, explained everything clearly, and answered all my questions. He is super nice, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. I highly recommend Arrowhead Orthopedic Clinic in Riverside. First we had an appointment in Redlands for the knee injection we went to our appointment waiting a hour then the nurse said that they are sorry they need to wait for the insurance approval I asked how come you gave us appointment and made us come all the way here when the insurance has not approved it yet she said she is sorry I was like ok they gave us appointment in riverside office we made sure to call this time and asked if the insurance approved and if there are any issues they said no all is good everything is approved and that we can go to our appointment and so When we went to our appointment ...We sat for an hour in the waiting room after an hour they came out and they told us that the injection was not with them. This is the second time that happened And the workers have no clue what they're doing the front desk VERY VERY RUDE They didn't know if the pharmacy sent the medicine to the Redlands centre or not and I asked them ok can you call the Redlands office and ask them? And they got all defensive and started making me the faulted one very uncomfortable.. it seems like we shouldn't be nice and act and respectful and nice to people anymore because when you're nice you are being taken advantage of Just because they go and pass a written test that doesn't make them educated education comes how to deal with patient and customers education is how to be polite to your patient specially when you're working front desk at the Medical office I don't know how they're getting hired just because they pass their interview by words that doesn't make them good workers it's your actions that makes you good worker PS and when I was talking, she kept saying to my husband you're the patient I'm addressing to you. Worst place, don't waste your time. You'll be waiting 2 hours just to be seen and they could care less.

First off, the staff was great and the wait minimal. That's the only positive thing I can say. My daughter was in a car accident 18 months ago and still has a lot of pain in her wrist and restricted movement. Dr Solomon walked in, barely looked at her hand and then said, well we can do a b and c or surgery. But if you get surgery and it still hurts there is nothing else we can do. Did not ask what prior treatments have been done, wha kind of pain she was having, where the pain is Said well we can do surgery but it will only fix one side. If it fixes it. Who does that? She's 25, she doesn't need to be told she could be looking at pain for the rest of her life because he will only try for one part of her wrist. Zero compassion. Zero bedside manner. Zero stars!!!!! I had a knee replacement surgery and had constant problems with the aftercare getting pain medicine. I ended up back in hospital three times just to get pain medicine. Then when I hit the six week mark the surgeons secretary, apparently at the guidance of the Surgeon said I was not to be given any more pain medicines over-the-counter medicine is not gonna take away the pain from a knee replacement that's on the level of an amputation. I think it's been disgusting in the aftercare. I really wanna make a formal complaint. I live alone my daughter took time off to be with me, but aftercare has been horrendous. read more

Besides the surgeon every other person is incompetent or doesn't care the office is extremely slow with everything they do. they told me multiple times they would get me something same day that took them a week and I even had to call to remind for a doctor note, my prescription to be sent out, handicap paperwork, and surgery info. they also waited until the day before to tell me they cancelled my surgery because my insurance didn't cover it even though I asked to verify at my last appointment and they said it was good. completely awful experience all around besides one surgeon that's good but his staff is terrible. read more

This place is the worst... staff are not empathetic, or kind or helpful... one tells you one thing and another tells you something entirely different... they schedule an appointment and it's changed 3 or 4 times. this review does not represent any of the doctors at this location, it does however pertain to the staff and the policies of Arrowhead Orthopedics. First of all, they charge $25 for every form that you need filled out, employment, disability, etc. this takes 7-10 days to complete. Even though they charge you for this service, they wont forward the forms to your employer, disability dept,. etc. You need to then go back, pick the forms up and send them back yourself. This delays anything you need taken care of, not to mention if you are not able to drive yourself to their office, then you need to arrange for that as well. Not patient friendly at all. They say they will contact you when the forms are done, however, three times now i had to call to verify if they were completed. This last time they were confused by the form from my union so they didn't fill it out. They didn't notify mean of any concerns, they just simply didn't do it. Totally unacceptable. I would seek care elsewhere, if at all possible. Be prepared to wait to see the physician assistant on all post-op care and be prepared to wait 2 to 3 hours for an office visit. So had surgery last Friday and went in today to fix bandages. As I entered the suite I noticed that they require a mask. So I opened the door and an MA was standing there calling a pt. In so I said excuse me do you guys have masks? She looked annoyingly at me and said IDK but they sell them downstairs... WOW! I can barely walk and this is what she said... the correct customer service response should have been "Sorry I don't know please come in and the front office staff will help you" or "sorry can you please ask the front desk when you check in they can help you". I had out-pt surgery years ago with Arrowhead Ortho and their service was excellent then. Now they need a new office manager for all their sites that focuses on Customer service and processes to make their staff work smarter not harder. My review is for their staff that handles appointments. I had an urgent situation yesterday, after a bad fall from a steep hill, I had a very swollen left foot and ankle, couldn't walk, and the pain didn't let me sleep, it was bad so I called the hospital and the ER nurse I spoke with recommended I go straight to an Orthopedic Surgeon and request an Emergent appointment, said it sounded like I had a fracture and if I tried to walk on it I'd make it worse. The lady I spoke with at Arrowhead said "everyone calls with an urgent request and they all say they have a fracture, but we only make STAT appointments for those with confirmed fractures". Offered me an appointment for another day in the afternoon. I said no thank you. My next call was to another Orthopedic Group, in Orange, CA, they were much more polite and compassionate, told me to come on down and accommodated me with a same day appointment. The Surgeon examined me and agreed that it looked like I had a few issues, which their Xray confirmed was 2 fractured bones, I was in a cast within an hour and on my way back home to Corona. read more

The first time I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I checked in at 9:38 for our 9:50am appointment. That is the reason why this second appt was scheduled. I asked her if they weren't here why would they not call me to cancel or reschedule, she just shrug her shoulders. I called Loma Linda in front of her and they confirmed it was immediately sent when requested, she proceeds with being rude and says "well if it was sent it would of been here and there's nothing" I asked Loma Linda if they can email it to them they said yes but front receptionist says we can't do that, only faxed, Loma Linda proceeds to fax them the report. Front rude girl says okay I'll keep an eye on it. Keep in mind that was around 9:38am after 11am I'm still sitting In the lobby, I keep hearing they are running behind. Patients were constantly getting up and asking her if they were going to be seen. I myself ask her and she says we can't see you, doctor said this cd is not compatible with our computer! I was hold on I thought nothing was received by mail? She said oh someone had it on their desk. But either way we can't see you. I asked her when were you planning on telling me? She just smiles like if it's a joke. My daughter missed a whole day from school, I requested a school note which she prints a paper that we were there but decided to reschedule??? Unfortunately, we did make it to the appointment as the scheduling rep was unprofessional and impolite. I had made my father an appointment three weeks prior and had received multiple reminders via text of the date/time of his appointment. When I received a phone reminder of the appointment the day before the appointment, it was a different date from the original text reminders. I called in for the confusion and to clarify. As I waited 30 minutes to speak with scheduling, the rep stated they must have sent out the wrong date. I told her we had scheduled three weeks prior and unfortunately we were expecting the date back in January. She was combative of the situation when I was explaining the issue and frustration. As well, she appeared inconsiderate when I attempted to reschedule it would be another three weeks for the next available appointment. This referral from the doctor has been pending for now over than a month and a half. For the person I spoke with in scheduling as I did not get your name, but it appeared you did not believe me when I mentioned about the incorrect dates. Doctor = 5 Stars Office = 0 Stars I never had an issue with appointments or the Doctor at this location, however it's the office staff that is not very helpful. The office is SUPER slow at filling out paperwork for EDD and/or work. There is no sense of urgency with them, my work is requiring additional paperwork to be filled out, this is my livelihood and they don't seem to care. I've called multiple times to be told "we only have 1 person that fills out the paperwork and she's behind or she's not in the office today" - if they are THAT short-staffed, they need to train someone else to do that paperwork needed for EDD/Employer paperwork! I am about to be let go from my JOB because I can't provide PROOF that I'm not able to go to work! If filling out simple paperwork takes 2-3 weeks, they NEED to train additional people!! This is unacceptable and if I ever need an Orthopedic Doctor again, I definitely will be looking elsewhere! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. I saw Dr. Powers. I waited 2 1/2 hours in the waiting room, then was ushered back. I attempted to talk to him about knee replacement for both knees but mostly my left. He stated that my doctor indicated my right and looked at me as if I was lying to him. He cut me off and told me that my height and weight was off and that he could only give me injections. I tried to talk to him further and he said that the nurses should've done a BMI which they did not. I asked him if there's anyway he could help me and he said that he could just recommend a nutritionist if I didn't want the injections. A few months later after working with a nutritionist (my own) and working out at the pool. I re-injured one of my knees, tearing the meniscus and damaging a tendon. I went back and spoke with Dr. Shah. My wife went to the appointment with me and the nurse asked my relationship with her. I don't know why that was an issue? I've had quite a few surgeries, quite a few doctors appointments that she has accompanied me on and I have never been asked that question before. Dr. Shah also cut me off and would not let me explain what was going on. He told me he could only do an injection and agreed that I had 30 more pounds to lose. I had lost 25 so far. He then suggested surgical options for loosing the other 30 pounds. I have met with numerous doctors in my life. I did not feel heard, understood or respected at this office by the nurses or both doctors. They made me feel like they were paying for my surgery. I have insurance. I requested to be transferred to the Rancho Cucamonga office. The doctor I met with there was very welcoming. The staff was very welcoming. He went over my x-rays with me explaining what's going on with my knees. When he read back through my history, Dr. Shah lied saying that I had 45 pounds to lose. Im so angry that he would lie on that report when both him and I talked about a goal weight which was 30 pounds less. I know he was trying to justify telling me to get surgery. Please go to the Rancho Cucamonga office. Do not go to this office. They should get negative stars. read more

Didn't have my daughters insurance card but the young lady at the front desk, Brittany, was extremely helpful in making sure my daughter was able to get in and see the dr for her foot injury; she was patient, friendly, polite and professional. Was nice for someone to go the extra mile in figuring out a solution to the problem as opposed to turning us away. Dr Andrew Wong did my surgery at Arrowhead Regional Hospital on my arm after a bad fall. I have never met Dr Wong. I was transported back to Ridgecrest for Rehab. Dr Desai is taking care of me in Ridgecrest. Dr Desai has called Dr Wong four times and left a message and his cell number. Dr Wong has not returned any of the calls. Told her I allready made prior arrangements for this appt as I have a newborn, and had to request pto. she states there's nothing she can do but r/s appt. I then contact her manager Valerie basically says the same thing, someone was supposed to have contacted me a week before, no body ever did till 2 days before my appt. Especially since empathy, compassion and compromise is NOT on the agenda. I'll advise my Primary and Insurance of my concerns in the attempt for find a location with quality people.
