The search for a good Dentist is over! The last Dentist I saw (once) ( but didn't really see at all because he sat behind my head the entire visit) tried to sell me everything "because my insurance covers it". Seriously? Dr. Scott actually sat down, was super personable, looked me in the eye, had reviewed my information before I arrived, discussed everything thoroughly and very knowledgeably. Best of all, didn't act like I had to redo my mouth. The staff is super. They all show great respect for one another and the comradery is evident. Everyone who walks in the door is greeted by name. I wasn't going to write this until the final straw today, this is only a review of the front desk experience. I'm not sure how they are as dentists. I routinely grant my girlfriends requests of booking appointments over phone, not my favorite thing to do, but she has a phobia about it. When booking this appointment the receptionist rudely went off on me over a miscommunication and when I told her "Put her in whatever part of the process you need to, I don't dentist for a living so I'm confused following that." She called me rude and spent the rest of the call berating me while I bit my tongue because I didn't want to jeopardize my GF's appointment. Today my GF told me the front desk lectured her about how she had to make her own appointments being over 21 and that was the final straw that made me write this. There was no need to call her out or draw attention to her phobia, nor was there any reason to be so rude on the phone. I'm not one to often yelp, I think this might be my first ever, but the experience was so frustrating I felt obligated to write this. Clean up your front desks behavior. Edit: Turns out they forgot to take certain X-rays so it's another extra charge for their mistake. I will never go here after this experience. read more

I was a patient of Dr Scott's for a couple of years and received dental good care. I changed dentists only because he was not a provider on my dental plan. However, he has unscrupulous if not downright unethical billing practices. As an example, he double billed me for services performed and paid for 6 years ago! Who saves dental bills for 6 years? He claimed in 2021 that I owed him a large amount of money from 2015, when I hadn't been his patient or heard from him for 3 years. Luckily I found a later statement received from his office that stated the balance owed him was zero. His office staff tried to bully me into paying and implied they were sending out similar bills to 1000 people. Be sure you save all your records from Dr. Scott, you're not safe throwing anything away. Such billing practices should be outlawed! I'm sure many dentists lost money during the pandemic but this is not the way to go forward. read more

Best Dentist in SC County. My late wife was always extremely happy with Kevin's work, I was always happy with Kevin's work and now my son is a patient. Recently my son broke a front tooth in half, on a Saturday (surfing accident). My son has a semi-fragile psyche, and I didn't want this to hurt his self esteem - so I called and left a message that Saturday asking if there was any way to get this fixed expeditiously, in the coming week. Monday promptly at 8:00am I was contacted, an appointment arranged for 4:00pm on Tuesday. Kevin had it fixed perfectly in an hour and 15 minutes, exact shade, shape, etc. That's outrageous, couldn't ask for better service. Kevin is very amicable, keeps a great vibe going, makes the patients feel very comfortable, and his staff is stellar. Members of my family have been going there for what I'm thinking is over 18 years now, never had billing problem, or appointment issue. read more

omg. i made an appointment for my mom (who is 99 going on 100). to have her teeth checked out as she complained occasionally some pain when chewing. First of all it's not easy to find a dentist who will take such a elderly person . his staff so friendly on the phone and very helpful !! today was her appointment and i had her caregiver bring her as i live an hour away. after her appointment the doctor himself called me and discussed the appointment. soooooo nice i just love him. highly recommend if you're looking for a good dentist !!!!! read more

I was recommended by my friend to schedule my three year old for a check--up. The night before he started to get sick and in the morning he had a fever. I had confirmed the appointment but could not control him getting sick. I called the office to tell them he was sick and to reschedule. The receptionist said "I'm sorry, since you are cancelling in less than 24 hours, you are no longer able to make appointments with us". I was shocked! I didn't know if it was a joke, but she said no, I'm sorry, you can't be seen here, that is our policy. This is a family dentist and it is completely absurd that I was not able to reschedule. I have never been treated this way before and think it is absolutely ridiculous to turn away business this way. read more

Dr. Scott is so gentle that I fell asleep during a filling replacement. Zero Pain, none. I highly recommend this office; everyone is very nice, efficient and capable. No waiting around either. I arrived 3 minutes early for my appointment and was in the chair on time. His chair-side manner will put you at ease. I'm always a bit nervous when at the dentist but his positive style of communication along with his willingness to go slow and do things right made me feel that I made the right decision in getting my work done at this office. This is a first for me and it might sound strange to say I actually had a good time at my dentist appointment. Kudos to you Dr. Scott and team. Glad I found your office. read more

Dr. Scott is a dentist who truly cares about your oral and mental health as it relates to dentistry. He cares about his patients as if you are family. Being a father, he relates to kids and their special needs. I leave my appointments actually looking forward to returning. Whenever there is an emergency, he is accessible and fast to respond. He has been my dentist since 1995, or before, and has employees that have been there that long too. He has literally helped me through YEARS of dental restoration after an accident left me with several broken and damaged teeth, bite problems etc. He's been compassionate and helpful and he was able to fully restore my smile with reconstructive dental work, he truly has gone above and beyond the call of duty. I am 50 years old and have been going to dentists since I can remember. I always expect a certain type of service when I visit a dentist and usually like a number not a patient. Dr. Scott and his staff treated me as if I was their most important patient ever. Dr. Scott actually sat down with me and explained things about my teeth and how to make sure that I understood the importance of practicing good oral hygiene, so much so, that I feel we are a team and if I don't practice what he has shown me I will be letting both of us down.
