Good restaurant overall. The setting is more of a small town bar which we liked, but it is a family friendly joint! The servers were friendly and relatively attentive. The food was average: My husband ordered fish and chips and said it was okay (Not the best he has bad, but not the worst! He still cleaned his plate though haha). I ordered shrimp linguini - shrimp and tomatoes were flavorful, the sauce was good but a little too runny which made the pasta overall plain tasting.

The food was good and the staff very helpful and friendly. The location is very beautiful and very Cape Cod.

Nice bartender and friendly atmosphere. Bathrooms could be cleaner but you can't get a better local bar. They serve Cape Cod IPA!

Best stuffed quahogs and fried clams on the Cape. The rib-eye chili is very good as well. Great kitchen, great bar.

The menu is complete with starters (very generous portions), soups, salads, entrees ... so much to select from. We shared the pretzel with queso and the potato skins. Two of us had salads (very fresh and tasty). And the other person in our party chose the cheeseburger with onion rings. Service was amazing. We almost forgot it was the beginning of a holiday weekend. I highly recommend this restaurant. Specifically, this location. My experience definitely deserves more than five stars.

Although there was a short wait to be seated, it was less than three minutes, and we were quickly shown to a cozy corner table tucked away from the pub and the main dining area. Our waitress greeted us warmly and took our drink orders. I ordered a Blue Moon, while my wife tried their version of a margarita. The beer was enjoyable, but my wife was not a fan of her drink, as it lacked the traditional margarita flavor she was expecting. For dinner, I decided to try something new and ordered the traditional Reuben sandwich. The bread was nicely grilled, and although I am not usually a fan of pickled vegetables, the sauerkraut was actually quite good. Overall, the sandwich was enjoyable, though I felt it could have used a bit more corned beef. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas, but unfortunately, they were disappointing. The chicken was dry, and the dish overall missed the mark. As we were leaving, her final comment summed up the experience: "We probably would have had a better meal at the 99." While parts of the meal were enjoyable, the overall experience did not quite live up to our expectations after such a long time away.

Food was very good…read more Only complaint was the dining room was a little chilly, and the area they had the dessert in it was freezing! Granted it's right on the water and it was 20 degrees out, but they could've put the heat up or set up the dessert elsewhere. Dessert display was was ok but could've had more thought put into it. Thought it would've been nice to have included one glass of wine in that price point. Not crazy about the automatic 18% gratuity added to the check. Would recommend it! Also, we were caught in traffic and arrived 30 minutes late. Called ahead and they accommodated us. Friendly staff.

Unfortunately, the food was one of the most disappointing meals we've had during our time on Cape Cod. Several menu items were not as described. The calamari looked like a large portion, but nearly half of it consisted of fried pickled jalepeño and cherry peppers that weren't mentioned on the menu. My shrimp scampi was served in a thick, bland cream sauce that was much closer to Alfredo than a traditional garlic, butter, and lemon scampi. Another person in our party ordered the chicken piccata, which had the same heavy cream sauce rather than the bright lemon-caper flavor you'd expect. The pasta in both dishes was poorly cooked, and the fried clam basket turned out to be all whole clam bellies, which also wasn't disclosed on the menu. The shrimp tacos were the only meal our group enjoyed. At the end of the meal, I politely shared our feedback, making it clear I wasn't looking for a discount or anything in return. I simply thought the kitchen should know. The concerns were brushed off, no one followed up despite several nearly untouched meals being cleared away, and we weren't even thanked as we left. Cape Cod has so many outstanding restaurants, so this experience was especially disappointing. Between the inaccurate menu descriptions, poor food quality, and lack of concern when constructive feedback was given, I wouldn't return or recommend it.

I had read the mixed reviews and as I…read moreconsider reviews of myself and those I sat next to I definitely see why reviews are so mixed because even we received different experiences! So to start I must say that macadamia encrusted salmon was phenomenal and in it alone 5 stars easily! Absolutely delicious! I'm serious! INCREDIBLe in taste - portion - presentation! The bread appetizer is highly critiqued for being a purchased item at an Italian restaurant, but the dipping oils with garlic and roasted pepper never comes with free bread apps that I've seen so again easy five stars!!! I'll add pics - it's impressive! Then, what else to review - it's our 34th wedding anniversary and we're not high maintenance so when we book and we're asked about occasion, but never celebrated I'm ok with that, but why ask then? We don't typically order dessert, but 34 years seemed like we should so we got carrot cake and it was great. With the big portions they serve not necessary, but if you're a dessert person go for it! When we scheduled reservation the restaurant was full, so we booked bar seating and loved the vibe sitting next to locals watching Red Sox play. Everyone was friendly and gave great suggestions for us for remainder of our stay. All of that said I must give the place a five with all those low reviews, but in true transparency what wasn't a five: When we arrived on time for reservation the sweet hostess apologized it would be a little while. We were seated approx 15 min later at the bar that had about 9 seats open, and four bar workers in and out yet 15 minutes would go by before anyone acknowledged us. Yet, one bartender who seemingly was in charge of restaurant alcohol orders was bantering with a male patron and explained him across the way how the chef/owner is done and looking to sale if he can find right buyer. Eventually an Italian speaking bartender gave us menus and apologized she was behind. We eventually ordered drinks and much later lobster ravioli we had heard raves about (but now an hour in and told sold out) but drinks good and we pivoted to Marsala and salmon, but a party of four was brought in to the bar and seated with empty dishes and glasses from previous patrons which seemed odd. Another waitress came by from restaurant and extremely short almost chastising the hostess and another waitress gave me an apologetic look as we both recognized I didn't need to hear that. Food took awhile but we're on vacation and enjoyed the atmosphere. I have zero regrets eating here and loved loved loved my meal, the historic building, sweet bartender (who needed some support or busier as the bar filled fast), and vibe of that bar surrounded by locals, and I'm from Utah only here for a weekend so that says a lot.

We ordered clams casino (small with little flavor), they were out of calamari (what??!!) so we went with oysters Rockefeller (also small And tasteless). Not only was the veal Parmesan the worst I have ever had. I wasn't sure they actually used veal. It was astounding how they got so much breading on it! Lastly, tiramisu (just okay) and the worst bananas foster ever. Served with some kind of banana bread, a tiny scoop of ice cream and none of the classic flavors one expects. And for all that (plus 4 other meals not worthy of reviewing) for the bargain price of $348 plus tip. For a over $400 dinner there are too many restaurants to try - just not this one.
