There was about 10 male employees all just hanging out and even walking by and looking right at you with eye contact and never said even hi and definitely did not offer any assistance or care to ask if we needed any help. Management PLEASE RETRAIN your employees. Again none of them even asked us if they could help us not one even said Hello after just staring at us like WTF? The bathroom was flooded looked like the toilet and urinal were both flooded or leaking and no one bothered to clean it up instead they just put a slippery sign on the floor. With 10 employees hanging around not doing crap, one of them could have mopped the bathroom or tried to do something about the leak or flood right? I've heard many people say they get their cars towed just by parking right in front of the store which is beyond a slap in the face. Thank god I did not have this issue as I was only in the store like 15minutes.

Ended up shopping here because I found the guns I was looking for on their website. I haven't been…read morehere before and it's also been a while since I purchased a firearm, so since it's pretty far from where I live, I called ahead to ask what documents I needed and what they accept as secondary proof of residency. I feel like that can vary from shop to shop, so I wanted to make sure I came prepared. I didn't realize how busy this place gets. I walked in and checked in at the door using the laptop, and there were about 10 people or parties ahead of me. I ended up waiting around 30 to 40 minutes, which wasn't too bad considering how busy they were. Andre helped me with everything and made the process pretty easy. I took the FSC test there, and he was also super helpful when I was deciding which Beretta I wanted. Overall, it was a really good experience purchasing a firearm here. Pickup was just as easy. I went when they opened and there was no wait, even though I had an appointment scheduled for a later time. I was in and out pretty quickly, which was nice. My only complaint is more about the customers than the store. If you're planning to purchase a firearm, I'd recommend doing some research beforehand on what documents you need and whether you're legally able to purchase one. I saw someone spend quite a bit of time looking at different pistols and optics, only to find out they couldn't make a purchase. I feel like knowing this ahead of time would save both the customer and employees some time. One thing to keep in mind is that they do have an appointment system, and you can also join the virtual line through their website. I didn't know that before going, so definitely something I'll take advantage of next time. Overall, really good experience and I'll definitely be coming back.

Whoever was working the guns with the dark hair and the trimmed dark beard working mainly the left side was a jerk. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there nor cared about anything. I asked him about the gen 5 glocks and he cut me off to say all glocks are illegal to sell in CA. Not what I was asking about and also false. I then was trying to inquire about a Ruger mark 4 and he was rude about how they have them but won't sell them but can order them. I still don't understand what he meant other than out of stock maybe? Anyway. Another customer came up behind me and asked this man a question and he scolded the customer and said he was with me, he was not and dragged me into it for some reason. He eventually got rid of the prospect and I proceeded to tell him I didn't want or need his help and to help the man he ignored. Instead he called up the next person in queue. Ironically enough, an employee was going off on a phone or radio about giving the best customer satisfaction possible lol. I almost said something to him but he was so hyped and happy, unlike mr grumps at the gun counter. Aside from that and what drove me away from purchasing a new firearm that day, the guys working Ammo and the fishing department were amazing. They really showed their knowledge and were a pleasure to work with. I will be back because of them, but maybe sticking to rifle supply for gun purchases.

They admitted some shortcomings on their part with my experience, explained some issues on their end with challenges during the current Covid situation (which was understandable and reasonable), but they also didn't give me the impression they we're going to be Nordstrom's or Costco, customer-service wise, anytime soon although reaching out to get input is certainly a step in the right direction. They did also offer to send me a gift card to make up the difference for the return postage and hassle (which I respectfully declined). One star review…read more What happened to REI? I had a very bad experience at REI Tustin on El Camino Real. EVA and manager AARON falsely accused me of returning the wrong item, even though the item matched my REI account, app, original tags, barcode, and product details. They made this accusation in front of my family and other customers, which was very embarrassing. I asked them a simple question: "What exactly is different?" They refused to answer. That tells me they had no real answer. They accused me first, then avoided explaining their own accusation. While EVA was still processing the return, AARON told me to leave and threatened security for no valid reason. After all that, they still processed the return. So the item was correct all along. This was a false accusation, poor judgment, zero accountability, and terrible management. REI leadership should review this incident seriously.

We normally get our running shoes from another business where they're very knowledgeable about their shoes. Sejan was knowledgeable, attentive, and friendly. The experience was so good that I bought another pair of shoes for the wife, knowing that they were $30 cheaper at another store. At the time, I did not know if Dick's would price match an item if I found it less somewhere else. It turns out that they do, and I was later refunded the difference. Thanks Dick's, and a special thanks to Sejan for the excellent customer service!

Ordered a life jacket that was on sale for $24.98 via the Dick's app. I was going paddle boarding…read morethat day so I set the pick-up location for Newport Beach since I'd be out there later. I went on July 3rd around 1 pm so parking was horrendous. I parked near Barnes & Nobles and took the escalator down to the store. Before I entered the store I checked my order on my phone and noticed I got the wrong size. I walked in and didn't see a sign for online pick-up orders so just went to a register with a cashier. I walked up to them (there was young employee and an older employee having a conversation at the register) and let them know I was there to pick up an online order and the guy at the register looked up my order. As he was doing that, I informed him that I would need to exchange it for a large/extra large and he said sure. He went to grab my online order from the wall, came back and handed it to me and said have a good day and began busying himself with something else. I stood there for a few seconds and asked him if he could please let me know where these life jackets were located because I need to exchange it for a bigger size (second time letting him know this). He then said it was in the back corner and pointed to the back corner. Where it fell short for me is that I let him know I would need to exchange it and either it didn't clock for him to fulfill my request by going and getting the larger size and bringing it back to the register OR he straight up ignored my request and didn't want to go get it. I'm going to say he straight up ignored my request and didn't want to go get it. At that point, I would rather just pick my online order up from a Amazon locker type contraption, go to the back and get the correct sized life jacket, then exchange it and self-checkout myself. I'm against getting rid of humans for jobs, but if the in-person experience is worse than dealing with a computer screen, then I would rather deal with the computer screen. Also, I realize this is a store that highers young people, but it's a branding issue if you don't have pride in training your employees to go above and beyond. In this case, it would have been taking a few extra steps to go get the life jacket size I needed, bringing it back to the register and completing an exchange. Not a crazy ask in my opinion, and it's a standard customer service request and it was not busy at all during this time. It could've been better and for the reason of parking being a little more stressful than other locations and poor customer service, I'd suggest going to another Dick's Sporting Goods or Big 5.
