It is amazing to see how far this school has come. I feel that the skills I learned from attending this school from 2nd grade through middle school have carried with me until this day. My reading and writing skills are strong and this school truly prepared me for college. As an adult now, I read quite often for fun. This academy truly focuses on a classical education, which is not a focus in public schools today. Scholars learn cursive and multiplication/division starting in second grade. These skills stay with them for the remainder of their schooling. This academy does a nice job focusing on building the skills they've learned brick by brick each school year. Now as an adult, I hope to send my own children here one day so that they can experience the same type of educational experience I had in my childhood. American Heritage Academy has a warm, friendly feeling the moment you walk in. Scholars are beyond excited to come in each day and see their classmates and teachers. It is a school that is rigorous, but students look forward to coming each day because of the special, nurturing environment this school provides. It is a very family friendly school, and you can be as involved as you wish to be in your child's education.

I want to start by saying this daycare seemed very promising, but after five months with our…read moredaughter, we lost confidence in the care she was receiving. One of the first concerns happened when I picked her up and was told she had a diaper rash. The staff said Aquaphor wasn't working, so they used one of their own sprays instead. My response was, "Why aren't you using the Desitin we provided, clearly labeled with her name and accompanied by a doctor's note instructing you to use it?" They apologized and assured us they would use it going forward. This immediately raised concerns about attention to care, especially since diaper products should never be shared between children due to the risk of spreading illnesses like Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease (HFMD). On June 18, after a week at home with us, we dropped our daughter off and informed staff she had drool bumps on her chin because she was cutting two teeth at once. Later that day, we received a call saying she had a temperature of 99.4°F and was being sent home for suspected HFMD because she supposedly had bumps around her mouth, in her mouth, and in her diaper area. The "bumps" around her mouth were the same drool rash we had pointed out that morning, and they nearly disappeared after simply wiping her chin dry. She had no bumps in her diaper area and no mouth lesions. The next morning, her pediatrician examined her, laughed at the assessment, said she had absolutely no signs of HFMD, and cleared her to return. We met with the Director and Assistant Director to explain what happened. The Assistant Director admitted she hadn't been told about the drool rash or teething before making the assessment. We also brought up the earlier diaper cream incident and explained how concerning it was that our daughter's prescribed cream wasn't being used while they were quick to send children home over concerns about HFMD. We were assured these issues would be addressed. Then, in July, our daughter actually contracted HFMD. She had the classic symptoms: fever followed by lesions around her mouth, in her mouth, and on her hands and feet. We kept her home through her recovery, and once her pediatrician confirmed she was no longer contagious, we received another signed clearance note allowing her to return. The doctor also prescribed antibiotics for a mild ear infection, and we informed the daycare that the antibiotics could cause loose stools and diaper rash, asking them to apply her diaper cream accordingly. The first day back went well. However, the following morning, just one hour after dropping her off, I received another call telling me she was being sent home for suspected HFMD. They pointed to healed red marks under her chin from the previous infection, a small red mark on her finger that she's had since birth, and claimed her diaper area would "shock" me. When I got home and checked, she simply had a diaper rash from the antibiotic-related loose stools. There were no blisters, lesions, or signs of HFMD. Even more concerning, there was absolutely no evidence that her prescribed Desitin had been applied despite the daycare describing the rash as severe. Anyone who uses Desitin knows it leaves a visible white residue, and there was none. We took her back to the pediatrician, who again confirmed she had no signs of HFMD and again questioned whether the daycare was confusing her with another child. At that point, we decided to withdraw our daughter. As I packed up her belongings, one of the workers ran over laughing and said, "Can't forget this!" while handing me the nearly full tube of diaper cream. After five months, it looked like it had only been used a couple of times, despite multiple conversations, a doctor's note, and repeated reminders. I can't speak to the rest of the school, but our experience in the Angel's classroom left us extremely disappointed. We experienced repeated misdiagnoses that resulted in unnecessary doctor visits and missed work, along with repeated failures to follow a simple doctor's order to use our daughter's assigned diaper cream. For us, those issues reflected a lack of attention to detail and consistency that we simply could not overlook.

WHY DO THEY MARK IT DOWN? DON'T KNOW? it's honestly not like it makes it any faster! sure makes it seem like they are organized in doing so, but I asked my child one day & she said they just say "okay (child's name) your parent is here get ready" as a type of warning Im sure? but then she added on & said "but sometimes I can't hear who they say because it's really loud & I get in trouble if Im not ready because I wasn't listening". So my point is they need to find a new way to organize this situation. I can't fathom the amount of waiting it takes for parents with more than one child!!

Unfortunately, my experience with the administration was very different. Beginning in my freshman year, I experienced repeated sexual harassment both in person and online. I, along with other students, reported these incidents expecting them to be taken seriously. Instead, the administration's response left many of us feeling dismissed and unsafe. What was initially supposed to be an anonymous report quickly turned into a meeting where the students who reported the harassment were placed in the same room as the large group of boys who had made them feel unsafe. Rather than focusing on the repeated harassment that had been reported, we were told, "In a professional workplace, you'd be the one getting in trouble." We were also told that the administration had heard rumors that students were considering leaving because of these incidents, followed by the statement, "That won't be happening. Every student here will walk this stage at graduation." As students, we left that meeting feeling that protecting the school's reputation was more important than addressing the concerns we had brought up. Being told to "stop causing issues" instead of having our reports taken seriously was incredibly discouraging. I recognize that schools may not be able to share every detail of an investigation, and I am not commenting on what actions may or may not have happened behind the scenes. My issue is with how the students who came forward were treated. The response we received made many of us feel unsupported, invalidated, and less willing to report future incidents. This led me to transfer to a public school, where my experience was much better. I am really grateful for the few teachers who listened, showed compassion, and did everything they could to support me and my classmates. However, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this school because I do not believe the administration handled reports of student harassment in a way that prioritized student safety.

We've been amazed at how much they've learned (not just academically but socially and emotionally as well). We are grateful for the care and patience to the toddler teachers (Ms. Elysa, & Ms. Kanae, Mrs. Ranieri). Now that my children are transitioning to different schools, I believe it's the right time to share…read moremy thoughts through a review, as I've been quite vocal about our experience this year. First and foremost, I must acknowledge that many of the teachers we encountered were excellent. However, as we reached the higher grade levels, we encountered some difficulties in communication with certain teachers. In my opinion, fostering effective communication and building strong teacher-student-parent relationships are crucial for academic success, and this is an area where this school fell short. The second area of concern was the administration. While the executive director of CASLV was responsive and easy to communicate with, there was a lack of proactive action that would have benefited students and families. The immediate administrative staff was practically absent, and their lack of initiative left the school in a less than desirable state. CASLV may appear impressive in their advertisements, but the reality becomes apparent once your child is enrolled. Throughout the year, there were recurring behavioral issues that the school and administration attributed to being a new campus, despite the fact that it was not a new educational system. While my son had positive experiences with his teachers, which was undoubtedly the best aspect of the school, my middle schooler struggled to thrive. As a result, I made the decision to enroll her in Nevada Virtual Learning Academy, where teachers were readily accessible to both students and parents. She excelled in that environment. There has always been an air of secrecy surrounding CASLV. Some of the office staff treated parents as though they were an inconvenience. If one cannot maintain a positive demeanor and be the welcoming face of the school as the initial point of contact, then that individual may not be suitable for the role. I strongly encourage considering the type of experience you desire for your children, including relationships with staff and administration, accessibility to teachers and administrators, as well as the curriculum and extracurricular activities. Also, as a STEM school, I didn't feel like it had any advantage to other schools -- what they offer is the norm for all schools today. For my family, CASLV Cadence fell short in meeting our expectations.

He is a special needs student with ADHD, autism, and a speech impediment, and this school routinely ignores his IEP. That alone should be a red flag for any parent considering enrollment. Beyond that, the bullying and harassment he faces from other students is relentless. When he reports it to the teachers, nothing happens. Yet somehow, my brother is constantly the one being punished and reprimanded, often for behavior he denies, and that I personally witness other students doing every single day without any consequence. The double standard is impossible to ignore. Other kids push, curse, and act out constantly, but my brother is always the one made out to be the problem. One teacher in particular, Miss Willingham, has handled my brother's case in ways that are deeply troubling. She removed my brother from tutoring based solely on the word of other students for behavior she never personally witnessed and that my brother also denies. That is not discipline, that is bias against a child who already struggles to advocate for himself due to his speech impediment. She has also had my brother suspended over a comment he made in a Google chat. It's truly disappointing as well as in a way, pathetic for a grown adult educator to respond by having a child suspended over a comment which is a profound misuse of authority. This woman felt so threatened by a child's frustrated comment in a chat that she escalated it to a suspension, especially a special needs child who already struggles to communicate. This is not only disproportionate, it's retaliatory, and it feels like she used her position to punish him. I pick my brother up from school nearly every day, so I see firsthand how these students behave as well as the fact that there is barely any adult supervision or surveillance there to monitor and course correct behavior. The language and conduct is appalling for any age group, and this school spans elementary through high school, meaning younger kids are constantly exposed to the behavior of older students. An elementary school-aged child literally called me a "stupid whore" on the Friday, right before their spring break. That is the culture this administration has allowed to fester. XI had reported it and asked that there be more staff positioned outside when the students were released at the end of the day but there haven't been any as of weeks and weeks later. Reports have been made. Nothing ever changes or is resolved, really. This school has failed my brother at every level. He dreads going every single day. If you are considering enrolling your child here, especially the child with special needs, please look elsewhere. This is not the school for your child.
