Attended the 2nd annual Kessler Krawl in Kessler Park last night. The event is put on by the Kessler Neighbors United association. It is a come and meet the neighbors type fundraising event that takes place across six houses. Each home has catering from a local oak cliff restaurant.
The eateries this year included Spiral Dinner (veggie nacho station), Bolsa (beet salad with basil and feta), Papa Joe's Backyard BBQ (meats, potato salad, rolls and breads), Nova (ham and brie sliders) and Kessler Cookie Company (pumpkin cheesecake, salted caramel chocolate cupcakes, biscotti).
The check in house had wine (merlot, chardonnay) and beer. Each house also had wine, beer and a pear cocktail of some kind. The last house also had sparkling wine and coffee with kahlua.
It was great seeing the variety of older homes, many of which had modern updates. Everyone was exceptionally friendly. The $50 tickets also benefit the neighborhood association, so it was all for a good cause.
Looking forward to next year's event! read more
