Had a lovely family group luncheon at Kersey House. Loved this southern home with all the character & charm. Our server was great, and food and drinks came out faster than expected. I didn't love my meal (salmon chopped salad- the fish was cooked well, but the salad was sorta a hodgepodge of ingredients and the dijon dressing was an odd pairing). But because of the atmosphere and service I for sure would try this place again. Fyi there is a handicapped chair lift hidden out front which was an amazing help for the older guests.

Lunch is the best here. Good price and choices. The French onion soup needs some work. It came out just barely warm & too salty. The grilled cheese & Kersey Salad were fabulous. The burger got rave reviews too. Service was great and nothing beats a restaurant in a cute house.

What a beautiful restaurant in the middle of town. Great service, great food. A perfect place for a quiet dinner or a large dinner party. I cannot say enough about this place.

I brought my mom here one day, hoping to try something new in the Summerville area. The house is absolutely beautiful and they encourage you to explore. The food is good, but very small portions. The service was kind and accommodating. It's a worth while spot for lunch on a pretty day.

This is large old home is a great setting for couples' night out. We ate upstairs and it was early, we had the room to ourselves. Cassidie our server was excellent. I was extremely disappointed in the changes to the presentation of the Lobster Bisque. In All the pictures you see a bowl with a beautiful puff pastry rising over top. The waiters overheard me talking to the wife about how disappointed I was in in the appearance and she explained it was still the same dish just in a different bowl. I respectfully disagree in that while I started to eat it, the bread was like a hard biscuit, difficult to breakup without spilling the soup over the bowl. The soup itself was very good, but as the saying goes, "You eat with your eyes first" and the new dish just does not look nearly as appetizing, nor does it eat that way. I highly recommend to the chef that they go back to how they served this dish previously. The wife and I split a Baked Escargot, garlic butter, with a thin bread topping which is a perfect way to serve this dish. The best way to eat it, is to flip the Escargot to the top and the bread on the bottom where it can soak up the wonderful Garlic butter. The wife and I also split the Ceviche, with cut up pieces of shrimp, calamari, bay scallop in a basil vinaigrette. The chunks of apple provided a bright and clean taste on the palette. I think the dish is designed to be eaten with bit of salmon roe with each bite for a bit of salt and perfect balance For my entrée, I had the Sea Scallop Risotto. This is one of the best-looking dishes I have ever been served. The dish had plenty of large Scallops, over a bed of Risotto, with roasted sweet cherry tomato, asparagus, shaved Parmesan. The dish was spot on The wife had the Short Rib Bourguignon that included roasted fingerling potato, asparagus, mushrooms, in a bordelaise sauce. She loved the roasted fingerling potatoes, but thought the dish was under salted, and the bordelaise sauce missed the mark. Overall a very nice meal

We had the opportunity to participate in the chefs choice dinner. This was the first time participating in this kind of event. The dinner was absolutely amazing. Each dish was perfectly paired with a wine or champagne. Our bartender and dinner guide Sandy was super helpful and informative with each drink and dish. The restaurant was super nice. The restaurant was build around an old two story house in historic downtown Summerville that was beautifully restored.

Visited Kersey House for the first time last night and from the check-in to the end of the meal, it was a delightful experience! I wanted to treat my fiancé to a nice birthday dinner and Kersey House staff pulled all the stops! The handwritten card and complimentary gelato was so thoughtful, I appreciate how the crew made him feel special. The menu offers a variety of options to please any dietary needs. The menu notates gluten free, dairy free items and even has a separate vegetarian menu! Our server Nathan was attentive plus the crew that brought our food and birthday goodies were so hospitable. For appetizer we got the fried calamari that came in bite sized pieces plus a fraîche to dip in and the crispy soft pork belly with pickled items. For my entree, I got the Kersey salad with a goat cheese roll and lobster bisque. The Boursin dressing complemented the greens perfectly. My fiancé enjoyed his steak frites lightly salted. The cocktails were refreshing - highly recommend the Kersey 75 and Côté Soleil. We managed to get the tail end of happy hour and they offer some great deals! 1/2 off cocktails!? Yes, please! KH also offers plenty of room for events like weddings and events. Found a parking spot easily along the tracks and liked how they offer a number of places to sit from the veranda to indoors. Thank you Kersey House for the stellar service and hospitality.

What a fun gem in the heart of Downtown Summerville! First the house is stunning. We opted to sit out on the patio, actually the wrap around porch and it was delightful! Our server was top notch! He allowed my mom and I to relax and enjoy each item that we ordered.. We started with the oysters!! Enormous and for $10 on Tuesday for 6 totally worth the price!! We then moved on to the escargot.. Hot and sizzling and delectable! We paired each item with a glass of their house wine - Pinot noir for my mom and Pinot Grigio for myself.. This little gem won't stay hidden for long! Can't wait to add this onto the roster of must eats!!

We've been twice (lunch and dinner) and had a great meal both times. Lunch was lobster soup and salad. Elegant and charming. Great food. Dinner was very nice. We sat in a small side room which was quiet and cozy. Fiancée is gluten free and I'm pescatarian, and we both found dinners that were amazing. They were very accommodating with gluten free bread and desserts. Drink service was spot on, well-crafted drinks. We will definitely be returning.

Kersey House has been on my list since they opened and I finally got the chance to get them out. I went on a Sunday at 3pm and they had just started their dinner menu. We ordered escargot, salad, and short rib. All three dishes were phenomenal and we were pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and attentive. The noise level was a little loud but we were sitting by the bar and they were finishing up a Santa brunch so several families were there. I can't wait to return to try more dishes!

Went here to try something new after hearing great reviews and it did not disappoint! We went for Sunday brunch and had a reservation but it was not too busy around 1pm. I got the croque monsieur and my fiancé got the biscuits and gravy. My dish was delicious and came with a side of crispy breakfast potatoes. My fiancés dish was smothered in tasty gravy with crispy biscuits. For a drink I got the Sweet Magnolia which was a little too light for me but tasty. The building has lot of light coming in and was very lovely. I will definitely be back to try more!

Came in for a 615 dinner reservation. Hostess was okay. Could have been friendlier - acted as if seating was a bit of a bother. Was seated outside on the wrap around porch on a beautiful evening. Waitress was super friendly and informative. Suggested drinks for us. Ordered the steak frites, scallops & risotto, and baguette (baguette was great but honestly feel as if it should be a complimentary offering and not $6). Waitress checked in regularly. Service was wonderful. Steak was okay. A little tough, fries were mediocre. Scallops were a real standout. Drink prices were a bit high- downtown CHS pricing in Summerville just isn't the vibe. Overall good experience. Would try again.

We went to Kersey House for brunch. Our reservation was for 11:00 am. I didn't realize they opened at 11. We were seated a little before 11:00. They have non alcoholic cocktails which I ordered one since I was driving. It's a small menu but we found a great treat in the crab Benedict. It was served on charred sourdough. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the sauce was delicious. The lump crab was just the right amount. It came with a side. The breakfast potatoes were crispy but lacked flavor. The atmosphere here is quite charming as it's in a charming old house downtown. We sat inside but will request the veranda next time.

The space alone is worth a visit -- soaring high ceilings, stunning architectural details, and a beautifully designed bar that immediately sets the tone. It feels grand without being stuffy. We were seated right away in a large semi-circle booth that was both cozy and spacious for our party of four -- the perfect balance of intimate and comfortable. Maddie, our server, greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. We started with a dirty martini, a crisp glass of Sancerre, and two Autumn Old Fashioneds -- all expertly prepared. From there, we asked Maddie for recommendations, and she absolutely nailed every single one. Her guidance truly shaped our evening. To start, we ordered the Pomme Frites and the Sweet & Beet Salad. The frites were a plate of crunchy, golden deliciousness -- yes, a touch salty, but in that can't-stop-eating-them kind of way. The Sweet & Beet Salad might sound like an unexpected pairing with sweet potatoes and beets, but somehow it worked beautifully. The flavors were balanced, thoughtful, and surprisingly harmonious. For mains, the Chicken Fricassée was well executed and comforting. The Boeuf Bourguignon, however, was the undeniable star of the night -- rich, deeply flavorful, and beautifully prepared. It's the kind of dish you think about the next day. The Gnocchi Parisienne was light yet decadent (if that even makes sense), pillowy and indulgent without feeling heavy. We also ordered the Market Catch -- a type of snapper none of us had ever tried before -- and it was cooked perfectly, flaky and packed with flavor. By the end of the meal, we were happily full and couldn't even consider dessert. Maddie suggested we at least pop downstairs to check out the speakeasy bar, even if we didn't grab another drink -- and we're so glad she did. I have to give Maddie the recognition she deserves. She was fantastic -- knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely fun. She made an already wonderful dinner even more enjoyable. An absolute delight. Ask for her if you can. If you're looking for a beautiful setting, classic French-inspired dishes done right, and service that elevates the entire experience, Brasserie La Banque should absolutely be on your list.

We dined at night, when the patio glowed with lights, heaters, and long tables that felt instantly charming and warm. Inside, I loved the window at the end of the house looking straight into the kitchen. It felt like a front row seat at *The Bear*. The handwritten menu was a beautiful, elevated touch. The food was excellent. The burrata was the best I've had in ages, perfectly balanced with fresh, elegant flavors. The peppers with anchovies delivered a bolder, more dissonant note, but it worked beautifully. The bread was wonderful, the pork schnitzel hearty and satisfying, and my favorite dish was the snapper. Perfectly prepared, it came with a creamy but light sauce over a bed of onions. My only critique was the non alcoholic wine. The options tasted more like juice, and alcohol free wine can absolutely be refined and complex. These were not. Service? Yes. Yes. Yes. Warm, attentive, and genuinely gracious. I have been living in Charleston since 2010 and have been looking for a French restaurant for years. One day while walking around the French Quarter I noticed a quaint lil French bistro and put it on my "gotta try" list. So I came to see what all the 5 star reviews were about and boy was I disappointed from the get go. I try my best not to judge a book by its cover and lemme tell you I'm not scared of whole in the walls and the gems in different hodgepodge places, if it's got good eats, I'm there. I usually will try a restaurant 3 times before writing a review but helllllll no. The food and experience was so bad y'all! I have to tell you about my experience NOW while the bad taste is still in my mouth! I ordered the soup of the day which was she crab soup and a baguette. I thought cool French baguette is my fave and how could you go wrong with soup. No, I got 2 small slices of stale baguette top with some kind of cheese like a lunchable you can get at the grocery store and soup that was too salty to eat! So I said let me try something that you can't mess up. A croissant! A chocolate one well they messed that up too! How can you get a croissant wrong, and it was store bought croissants! Yuck! From a FRENCH restaurant, not made in house but if I'm wrong then those were the worst croissants ever!!!!!! Please people don't eat here! The serve staff did not greet us, ignored us and asked a white patron about his party of guests even though we were there 10 minutes before and the host knew he did wrong for asking to seat the other guy before acknowledging us because he caught my stare and we locked eyes and I did not back down or break the eye contact to let him know, yea fellow you totally ignored me for 10 minutes and asked the other guy how many in his party 1st! Even after the poor service I was dealt with in the beginning I still wanted to give it a chance, but after hearing how the wait staff addressed other patrons about how short staff they were and how horrible they had to do so many things I about had it. I was looking forward to a hot fresh French press coffee and was let down again. Weakest French press coffee just take my advice and walk swiftly past this whole in the wall. This one felt very focused on the fruit and allowing the Nutella to take a passenger, enhancing vibe instead. Omelette was cheese-central. I might ask for lighter cheese next time, but it was ridiculously delicious too. Croissants were SUPER light and fluffy, and they get served warm for you. Really tasty, perfectly baked. The ceilings are high with a warehouse feel and painted black which seems to be the trend these days. Service was excellent, with just the right amount of attention. I started with Onion Soup Croquet. Think of a deconstructed French Onion soup that is about as unique of a dish as you can find. The dish starts with a medium size crispy Croquet stuffed with onion, and an onion soup broth and topped with lightly melted cheese. This is the a must dish. The wife ordered Octopus Bourguignon, which was Octopus, cavatelli, with a sofrito, bordelaise sauce. While I was not a fan as to how the Octopus and cavatelli played together, the sauce was deep, rich and frankly stunning. The wife and I split an order of Burgundy Escargot, with ramp butter, and baguettes. I like my Escargot the old fashion way smothered in just garlic butter, but this ramp butter was amazing. The wife's main dish was Diver Scallop Cassoulet. Although this was the least of our favorite dish, another unique broth still made this a very solid option. My main dish was the Monkfish Chop. This dish had a nice size piece of fish with a sizeable bone in the center (hence the term Chop). The dish included Almondine, capers, and brown butter jus that again was a fantastic paring to the meat. It also came with a side of Carolina gold rice which was a great way to soak up the brown butter Jus. Frankly, and as you might have deduced from this write up, all the dishes have a unique and amazing broth that needs to be served rice or bread or something else to help soak up and enjoy all of the rich goodness
