worst service I experienced in a while. requestEd roadside assistance through my insurance. the driver was 45 minutes late and didn't receive a call nor did he ever answer the phone. Show up like he wasn't getting paid and he was doing me favor by jump starting my car. soon as the cable was disconnected the car shuts off he diagnosed my car in the matter of seconds and gets in the truck to leave. didn't listen when i suggestEd to leave the jump starter box on for a few to let it charge. I have used this company several times. once for my bmw where they towed it and fixed the valve cover gasket, as it was leaking oil bad. Yesterday they came to my rescue again as I was locked out of my car. I feel their prices are fair, and each time they arrived quickly. I do appreciate them. I have an Audi R8 and it sits very low to the ground. Chris went above and beyond carefully stacking planks of wood to ensure my car was safely loaded and unloaded from the truck bed. Was sent text FROM Kentucky Auto Service with confirmation number and estimated time of 2 hours. Not only did this company cancel the order, they didn't even bother to contact me again to let me know they canceled. I called after 2 hour wait and rude lady (Bobbie) argued with me that they never had an order for assistance for my vehicle. I even had the confirmation number and estimated time of arrival from this company. They left me stranded without so much as an explanation or apology, just nothing except her continuing to state they never had an order for this vehicle. Very Poor management and customer service. Took me 6.5 hours to find another tow company tonight due to the weather, but finally got my vehicle home without KY Auto Service. Only giving 1 start because 0 is not an option. I had purchased a used diesel truck and knew it would need a few repairs. I brought it to this place and all seemed to be good until I was mislead about the length of time for the first repair. I needed the turbo replaced and was told a week. It set there for almost a month. When we got it back there was an oil leak and the turbo had an odd sound. We returned to find another issue and I had it fixed. This time it was a week. I picked it up and still had a leak and had a hit start issue. I took it to another shop go find several things were overlooked. The oil supply tube was clogged and was most likely the real issue and may not have needed the turbo or the second repair. I then found out I had three different techs work on it. Two had quit and the third only came in for part of the day which is why it took so long. I can get over length of time if it was truly parts availability but I can't get past the lying. Strongly do not recommend this place. Not any respect for the customer. Apparently only focus is on dirt track racing it looks like. If it was possible to give zero stars I would have done so. read more

My father's new AWD Cadillac wouldn't start. Called Cadillac Service who dispatched KY Auto Service. They were supposed to show up with a flatbed truck for the AWD. Twice they sent a regular tow truck and said if they couldn't start it, they would bring in a flatbed. Nope. Both tow Drivers said they had to call their Manager to get the right equipment - and driver told me the Manager said to call my insurance company to get a flat bed. Total disappointment. Like my broken down truck and I went for a burger or something while we waited. Even tried to lie and say Geico gave them the wrong phone number. Been with Geico for over 10 years. I have never before in my life taken the time to write a negative review online in regards to bad customer service. My car was referred to this company by my car insurance provider. I figured it couldn't be a bad place if they referred me here. Plus, our driver said they could tow it there and have them take a look to see what's going on for free and then give me an update call before working on the vehicle. They towed my car here last Thursday night amist a bad snow storm. Kentucky is a bit far but I figured why not as options were limited. Meanwhile, I find all these negative reviews on YELP so I decide to get the car towed somewhere else. However, I called this company every day in hopes to receive an update on my car and didn't get a call back Till next Tuesday to give me an update on the vehicle in which they said I owed them a $100 diagnostic fee after clearly being told they could take a look at the car for free and would not work on the vehicle unless instructed too. They refused to release my car until paying. The manager said she called me three times. However, this is not true as I did not receive not one call!l When I called they said they left me three voicemails which is not true. I feel scammed. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! KY Auto Service & Towing was dispatched through my insurance company for a tow on my vehicle. When the driver loaded my car onto the flatbed, he hooked up to the radiator bracket, not the tow hook that dislodged the entire front bumper, breaking the radiator bracket, the entire wiring system for the headlights, washer fluid lines and I could go on and on. The driver contacted co-owner Bobbie, right away to report the damage. To this day, she will not take any calls from me or from her own insurance company to get this resolved. Two months later, I am still waiting for my car to be repaired. The reason I needed the tow was for a part that cost $250. which my mechanic fixed within a day. If this company is dispatched through your insurance company, save yourself a lot of money by refusing their service and pay the $100. out of pocket for another tow service! My next step is to be filing a complaint with the Dept. of Insurance for fraud. read more

I called Progressive for roadside assistance and they sent me this company's name, number, and an ETA of 9:44pm (which is approximately 2 hours after I called roadside). So, 9:44pm rolled around. Nothing. I waited until 10pm. Nothing. I called, and guess what? They tell me my tow truck HAS BEEN CANCELLED BY THEM, and that apparently happened 1 HOUR AND A HALF AGO. Naturally I was very upset and frustrated. I never cancelled! "No, WE cancelled. Your insurance was supposed to let you know." Well I never got notified. After a couple rounds of "I didn't cancel!" "No, you didn't. WE DID."'s, and as I stood there in shocked silence, the lady on the other end decides to just HANG UP. I called insurance to see what's up. Insurance tells me that my ticket still shows help is on the way, so they called them and apparently whomever called to cancel called and spoke to an AUTOMATED SERVER. NO LIVE HUMAN BEING EVER GOT NOTICE. So my ticket was not updated and I've just been sitting in limbo out here waiting for aid that was never gonna show up. WOW. It's a good thing my car is in a parked lot and is only steps away from my apartment because it was 17 degrees out and if my car, say, was in a ditch or something I would've froze to death while waiting in vain. And I couldn't have called anyone else because by the time I figured it all out, my phone was close to dead (5%). Horrible. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

Called through Progressive and after an hour and 30 Minute wait and two phone calls to Progressive and one call to Kentucky Auto (spoke with Bobbie the Owner) I was told by Progressive that Kentucky Auto "dropped" our ticket with no notice to me of Progress. They were apparently too busy. So now that I have another hour and 30 minute wait for the next tow company I will spend my time sitting in my broken down car on the side of the road reaching out our every social media outlet I can think of to spread the word what a ridiculous company Kentucky Auto is and warn anyone and everyone I can reach to stay away from this terrible company. The nightmare with this place started when my insurance company called them for a tow on my car. My husband got too close to the shoulder and our front passenger wheel slipped between the edge of the road and a guardrail. Due to a very high fever and illness he wasn't paying attention. When Kentucky Auto showed up they claimed the drive shaft and steering column had been ripped out and was falling out of the car and that it was undriveable. The only damage besides the body damage was the rim had been bent. They refused to give my husband the keys to our car and demanded $250. I called my insurance company and they corrected it and still they would not release our car. Two days later after my husband was able to we went to look for our car and found it in an unlocked unsecured lot with the windows rolled down and the doors unlocked. No one was on the property and after about an hour and a half someone came driving around the corner from I don't know where watching us before pulling in front of the building to clean their truck. I approached him asking if he was in charge or if he worked there. He told me he was the night manager. So I asked if I could please have the keys to our car that it was sitting in an unlocked lot and I wanted to secure it. He told me no not until you give me $250. I told him my insurance paid for the tow to please go get my keys. He told me they're my keys now the car belongs to me. So I said I can call my insurance company and we can clear this up it was taken care of Friday night, he then said don't bother it's my car now. At this point I was getting irritated and said we can call the police if that's what it takes and he said go ahead call them please I want you to. I then said look obviously our car was left running I could hear it over the phone and everything that was said. I want to secure it so go get my keys. He told me to keep my mouth shut you run your mouth too fu**ing much. That I should know my place. So I asked him how come the battery is dead and he goes I don't know I wasn't there. So I asked him how do they know the drive shaft and steering column is falling out I don't see anything and he goes because when I told them to put it on the back of the truck you could see it falling out flopping around all over the place. So I said you were there? And he said yes I was there I was in charge. So I said I thought you just said you weren't there? At that point he knew he was caught lying because when I said again please go get the keys to my car he walked away and into a building across the street. We waited and instead of bringing them to us he went to our car opened the door and tried to fix the fact that it was open. I asked him three times to please step away from it that he was going to either break the key or the starter so he slammed the door threw the keys at me and told me to go f**k myself. I simply said it takes a pathetic man to speak to a women like that as he walked off. The next morning we returned with the adjuster and let him know what happened while the same man stood there watching us out of the office door smirking. The adjuster gave the battery a jump and we secured our car. I had no choice but to leave our car which I was not comfortable with. I would never ever recommend this place or send anyone here, If you live in the area and this is the company your insurance company says they're sending wait it out and ask for someone else. There was nothing positive about any of it and the narcissist I dealt with needs to be fired or put in jail before he hurts someone. read more

I called State Farm in January to have our car towed. They sent this company out. It took them four hours to get here. I also got a tex confirming the time and then another and then another. By the time they got here it was raining and dark. They told me they had several trucks down and was running late. The guy first said he could not get the car out of our driveway due to cars being parked on both sides. Our mechanic is about a mile away. Then he told me don't worry about it I have it figured out. Ok assuming he knows what he is doing since this is his JOB! BIG MISTAKE. He did not secure the hanging auto parts up, backed the car up and out the driveway, loaded it and again nothing is secured, towed it and dropped it at the service shop. When the service shop called I said there is no way that damage came from us. That is why we had the car towed to prevent damage. The car sat for a full week with nothing being done waiting for State Farm and Agero to figure something out. Advised by my agent to get the car fixed and we would figure it out. I now have a 150.00 dollar job that costs me 985.00. Agero Customer recovery has the same address who State Farm paid for the tow. They denied any liability. I have a witness statement of the condition of the car before the tow driver left, statement from the auto shop, pictures and more. I guess Im going to small claims court. DO NOT USE Kentucky Auto. FYI I have been with State Farm for 31 years. read more

As a 25 year USAA Member, when I needed roadside assistance for my daughter, attending the University of Cincinnati, Kentucky Auto Services was contacted to provide towing services. Though USAA assured me that I would be provided an ETA, after waiting 30 minutes from my initial call to USAA, I called Kentucky directly and was given an estimate of 40 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes, I called Kentucky again and was told 30 minutes from this second phone call. No apologies and no explanation. After 45 minutes, I called again at 6:39 pm, multiple times and received their voicemail recording. Following up with USAA, they were able to reach Kentucky, who informed them that they canceled the tow. Kentucky failed to notify USAA, me or my teenage daughter, who had been waiting for hours. Unprofessional. Irresponsible. Inconsiderate and completely inept. Do NOT use Kentucky Auto Services. I have already received apologies from USAA but the fault lies not with them, solely with Kentucky. I will do everything within my power to have them removed from the USAA Roadside Assist Program. They are not worthy of serving our country's men and women in uniform! read more

We called at 4:30 pm, they said eta would be 6:17, which was already frustrating enough. At 6:25 we got a text that said our NEW eta would be 6:42....tow truck driver shows up at 6:59... COME ON! By the way, I tried calling them three times after their truck was a no show at BOTH etas.. NO ONE ANSWERED! I'm 8 months pregnant and have a 10 month old in the car, plus it's about 90° outside. Then the driver tells them, hey we can fix it, but it would probably run you about $300. Oh, you think for one minute I would pay this company more money?!? It's a good thing it's paid through our insurance or we would have called another tow truck and left this guy here. Please don't waste your time, literally. My son was on his way to visit from Indiana with my 7 mo. Old grandson. Their car broke down on 275 S. of Cincinnati. Their insurance company called this company to tow them , this was at around 4 p.m . Driving called around 830 asked where the keys where to get the car. My son told him where they were and that they would not be home when they dropped car off , in Indiana at their house . The driver said it was ok, no one needed to be home . This was on Friday May 21, the next morning they realized that their car was not delivered and called the company, the office person said she didn't know and would have to wait till her boss came in at 3p.m. and hung up on them. They left several messaged all day. 8 p.m they called them back to say the driver drove from Kentucky to Indiana and back because none was home to pay bill, he took car back to Kentucky . Insurance company was paying them. the lady hung up again on him. So the car is still in Kentucky , they are closed on Saturaday and Sunday and charging them storage, can not reach them on the phone . Later looked at cameras on my house and the driver never came to the house at all . So company is cashing in on storage and mileage . DO NOT EVER CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING . Called for a jump thru AAA. Guy they sent hooked the battery up wrong! He left. Dashboard lights flashing and car won't run. Had it towed to dealer and because of this guys mistake cost us $80. My husband spoke to them 2x and after that they didn't respond to his multiple texts. Said he was harassing her. I went out there in person thinking they'd do the right thing and refund us the money we're owed from their employees mistake! What a horrible business this is! The owner basically called me and my husband liars. Extremely unprofessional!! You'd think as a business they'd handle themselves better toward their customers but no!! Michael from Kentucky Auto Service provided prompt and professional service after I had a previous tow company bail on me. My wife was out of town so Michael was kind enough to tow me all the way to Frankfort and give me a ride home afterwards at 1 in the morning. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Kentucky Auto Care. Kentucky auto service was dropping a disabled car right in front of our service drive. before it was even disconnected. i asked the two tow truck drivers to please drop the car out back. they refused saying "you aint got no sign" threw the keys at the service writer and took off. i called the dispatcher while they were still in the lot. to get them to move it. he said he would call them but with no results. had the general manager call to ask them to move it and he was put on everlasting hold. i would not use this tow service or any other type of service that Kentucky Auto Service claims to perform. consider yourself warned. Some how my last review got deleted. Well I'm back. Last Friday night my car broke down in Alexandria Kentucky, I called AAA and requested a tow home. This was around 1050 at night. I was on Alexandria pike (a very busy highway). AAA told me they would be arriving at the latest 1130. In that time frame my phone had died. I was sitting in my vehicle on a very busy highway unfortunately I couldn't tell how much time had passed because I didn't have a clock. I was able to flag someone down and they told me it was almost 1 am. So here I am sitting in my vehicle 3 hours later with no body to get me home. They let me borrow their phone and I called AAA back. They explained to me that the reason nobody came to get me was because they stopped by the car but didn't see me. (I WAS IN THE DRIVER SEAT). when the truck driver finally arrived (130) they said they had another call in Cincinnati. So here I am hearing two different excuses. The boy driving the truck began yelling at me and began cussing at me for no reason. When I got into the truck and he started driving he started lighting a cigarette and I asked him politely not to do so he did it anyways blowing the smoke in my direction. Again he started cussing at me saying this is his bleeping truck and he can do whatever the bleep he wants in it. With all of that being said he then began texting on his phone and received another call to go change a tire. I requested that he didn't take the call and to take me home. He became belligerent again and wouldn't stop yelling at me. He began texting on his phone again not obeying any traffic laws whatsoever. I don't know his name but if I did I would sue. read more

When they didn't arrive within that time i called them directly and went to voicemail. Called my roadside assistance and was told they spoke to dispatch and it would be another 30-45 minutes. After waiting another hour they had not showed or called. I called my roadside assistance again and they could no longer contact them either. By this time it was dark, I was still by myself, and my phone was almost dead. I finally was able to find a friend with a truck and trailer to get me. I waited a total of 5 hours! I was connected with this service through Cadillac roadside assistance. My car is brand new and covered by Cadillac. The car would not start and was being towed to the Cadillac dealer where we purchased the car. The driver pulled in my driveway and told my husband that we needed to give him $81 to tow the car. He said no I don't this is a new car and covered by Cadillac. So my husband tells me and that the driver won't take the car unless we pay him. I said if we need to pay him , then we will call AAA because we have free towing service with them. The driver states that he takes AAA and he will take my AAA card to cover the $81.00. I said no, I'm going to call back to Cadillac roadside service and find out why I need to pay when I was told I was covered. I have only had this car for 4 months. Cadillac roadside stated again that we do not have to pay and called back out to the tow company. First they told roadside that we need to pay $39, roadside told them that was not correct and they would call another service. Then they changed their tune and agreed that there was no charge to us. The driver took the car and dumped it at the dealership. This Company was trying to double bill for this tow. Driver refused to give us any paperwork that he picked up the car. Beware and I would not recommend this Company! read more
