I would think twice before going to Kensington Ophthalmology. Went in for a routine eye exam and they changed it to a medical exam without my knowledge. Thus the vision insurance would not pay for it. They took it upon themselves to pull an old medical insurance card that they had on file for me from many years ago. Ended up having to pay everything out of pocket. They also charged me additional money to get a written eye prescription. The lady who does the billing is extremely rude. I had a very hard time getting her to send me an actual bill. She just kept calling and harassing me at work. It's been over four months. I had to finally make a trip up there and just pay the money. I will NEVER go back here again. read more

Horrible office! I was a new patient there and I'll never be back. The staff was nice to me but Dr Holm is a bit of a "B". I noticed her being rude to her staff several times. When you try and speak to her she is very snobby and it's like she's annoyed by you giving her business. While in a room, I could hear the staff in the back talking about how horrible it is to work there because Dr Holm can be difficult. When I was leaving I told one of the girls in the back she deserved more and should never allow a "boss" treat her with such disrespect. You could tell some of the girls there were defeated. Shame on you Holly for treating your staff like that. I won't be back because of it. read more

The physicians that I've all seen here were extremely friendly and helpful. However, I will not be returning due to the rudeness of the front office staff. I have called numerous times and scheduled numerous appointment over the past month. Every single time I've called, the receptionist have not only kept me on hold for over 20 minutes, but when they did answer, were extremely rude. They sounded annoyed, extremely short and nothing short of complete rudeness. there are plenty of ophthalmologist to choose from. I will not be coming back here, simply due to to how I was treated numerous times by the front desk staff. read more

I am really disappointed in the way I was treated when I went to Kensington Ophthalmology for a preliminary exam for cataracts. I was called back , my eyes were dilated and a battery of tests were performed by the staff and then I finally saw Dr. Holm. She examined my eyes and then proceeded to quickly ( 5 minutes tops) tell me what should be done with my cataracts. I was told if I had any questions the scheduler would answer them and I was taken to see her. I was not ready to schedule because I still had many questions. I was given some brochures and said I could decide on the lenses later and I should schedule the date and purchase the $25 post op kit. She also sent a prescription for another post op drop, which would have cost $220 per eye. I did not schedule but felt pressured to purchase the kit. I went for a second opinion and felt more confident with this doctor, who took the time to answer ALL my questions, explain the procedure, recommend the correct lenses, include the post op kit and was able to prescribe the post op drops for a much reduced price. I called Kensington Ophthalmology to tell them I won't be scheduling surgery with them and needed to return the kit. I was told they couldn't refund the cost because the kit included drops which are considered medicine. I had never opened the box with the drops. Again I felt pressured to purchase the kit and schedule the surgery. On a side note, I asked if I would be able to drive home after they dilated my eyes, they said yes. Not sure what they used but my eyes were extremely sensitive to light for 4 days after and driving home was not a great experience! read more

My first eye appointment in 16 years...and I must say they were great! In and out of there in less than an hour.. even with a bunch of extra tests in addition to the normal testing. The girls were very polite and efficient and Dr. Holly has a great personality. They were very friendly afterwards when I had to go back in for a copy of my bill as well. Definitely would recommend. very convenient location as well...Also..love the fish tank! read more
