Actually yes - I've been to many businesses where if there isn't a problem then they wouldn't charge me. There wasn't a problem with my car. I could've went to Shearer Honda where they even said they would've checked the tires and pressure for free and reset the TPMS light no charge. That's what a real business does because they aren't greedy. You want to talk about slander and vulgarity? As soon as you told your "employees" to stonewall me, you answered the phone screaming at me. It's your loss because I will never recommend your business to anyone and you reap what you sow. I only gave them one star because I couldn't go any lower. I took my truck there for diagnosis and when I didn't go with the suggested repairs they suggested I should have, (very high price for the repairs, some that I really didn't need) they charged me $410. I did expect to pay something for the diagnosis but $410 I think that was a little much. Needless to say I will not be going back there again, live and learn. read more

I managed to forget my emissions re-test papers, ugh, and I couldn't remember the part my husband replaced before the retest, but Justin was kind enough to look up my vehicle history, which also gave me an extra minute to text my husband to remember that replacement part. An extra minute or two for him saved me at least fifteen minutes. Very kind! I was more annoyed at myself for forgetting the papers than they were. It was nice talking to the pleasant staff during my wait, which was twenty minutes or less, and I still appreciate that I did not get an (admittedly deserved) eye roll for arriving at their shop unprepared. In response to Leonard T (3/20/19): According to your response to another unhappy customer (8/14/17), "work is guaranteed for 12 months or 12000 miles" I initially came in with my mirror issue on 11/16/17 and my car had 105493 miles. The second occurrence with the same mirror issue took place on 8/2/18, mileage on car 115580. Mr. Leonard T, you do the math...I have all the paperwork if you need to verify. This is the only place we let work on cars. One of my break dust shields was rusted and rotted off I was told that they could tell me some story of equal wear and tear and had to do both. But they brought me out and under the car to show me the exact part that had to be replaced and more importantly why the other side didn't need to be. They took great care of me when my breaks needed to be done on my crazy Grand Prix GXP a car designed by a drunk engineer on a Friday afternoon. And even got into custom work when my stock exhaust rotted out and was replaced with a magnaflow cat back system at over $500 less than a Chevy dealer wanted to replace the system. I recommend these guys to anyone. read more

they will rob you and mess up your car. tell you they have to do this and that which you can not prove was done.told me I could take car some please else but they were gonna take everything they did off and see if I can find someone to fix it then. and would charge for time in at that point nothing had been done but sit in parking lot for two weeks. Justin is the worst snotty little crap I ever saw. when he forgets I won't if I can take him to court it will be done. I am not the only one he has robbed and messed up their cars. I tell everyone not to go there including dealers and repairs. To get anything done at all I had to go in there daily. and had to take car to another shop from there to fix what they messed up. After reading on Google 5 star ratings, we brought our car to be repaired by Kensington Auto. I made a appointment for repair. Our car was not looked at for 2 days, as they said they were behind. On the 3rd day, I was called by a representative whom had done a 30 point inspection. He wanted to replace a reverse light and charge $30. Windshield wipers for $50. And I had agreed to a air filter replacement which cost $32.. We were additionally charged $92 for them to put a fuse in the proper place. The next day, the car was on the side of the road with the same problem that we had brought it to Kensington Auto with... When I called them and explained that the problem was not fixed......I was told that when it left the garage it was "fixed". I strongly do not recommend Kensington Auto. Huge prices.......minimal effort. read more

I had an oil change done, they got me in next day and in the afternoon so I didn't have to find rides to/from work. I usually have other places asking me to drop my vehicle off very early in the morning on a week day and be without it all day. They also responded to my Yelp message within an hour of me sending a request for a quote! Staff was very pleasant and price was reasonable. Took my Trailblazer in to Kensington Auto because we noticed a small oil leak. They said it was the rear main seal so we had them repair it. Got the vehicle back and we were still seeing oil drips in our driveway, so the shop took it in and repaired it without charging us. We still noticed it was leaking and the shop said it might just be spilled fluid from the repair. So we took the car in for the next oil change and asked them to look at the same leak which they repaired. He told us it was not the rear main seal leaking anymore but now the transmission is leaking. They charged us $25 to look at the leak and put leak detecting dye, even though this was a result of the repair they performed. Justin told me they would have to remove the transmission to see what was leaking and that it was probably the transmission pump. He quoted us $1000 just to take the transmission off and look at it. Why are you charging me when you removed the transmission to fix my rear main seal and the transmission wasn't leaking before I brought you our vehicle? He didn't want to hear it and said to bring it in in a few days. Well I decided to have my mechanic friend look at it and he agreed it was Kensington Autos fault if the transmission is leaking, and they probably tore the torque converter seal. After that I power washed the fluid under the vehicle to see if it was just residual fluid from a sloppy repair and hoping that's the case since I haven't seen a leak in a few days. If it is still leaking and the shop doesn't agree to fix it at no cost, we will have our lawyer get involved. Either way, I will not recommend this shop to anyone, nor will we take our vehicles to Kensington Auto ever again. read more

I have heard good things about kensington auto so I took my car there to get an inspection today as I have an older car that needs the suspension done. I myself, am a car girl and I've walked into places before where I was treated differently for being a woman. They thought maybe I didn't know much of anything and I know tried pushing unnecessary services on me. Justin was very polite to me, explained everything clearly and I am confident that what they suggested needs to be fixed, is in fact what I need. I truly felt like they did a thorough job inspecting my vehicle and I will be going there to get these services done. Thank you for being honest and professional. I was charged $330 for a battery replacement; I feel I was vastly overcharged. I was shunned for wanting to wait for my car. The techs were loud and had lewd conversations (no wonder they wanted me to leave my car). I would not go back. read more

Took my Hyundai Santa Fe to Kensignton Auto Service and was extremely happy with my experience. My headlight was out and after taking my car to Kensington they informed me that my tail light was also out and fixed both lights on the spot! I would definitely recommend their services. read more

Their shop seems clean and well organized and they appear to be competent. Their markups on parts seems to be very high, after comparing prices on what they installed. You might want to get several estimates from other competent shops before proceeding, if you have the time. read more
