Ask the Community - Ken's Plumbing, Aaron Sewer, Casper Heating

How much would be the total labor cost to change the kitchen faucet?

I cannot really answer your question exactly, but the labor cost was very reasonable for us. And this was a sewer problem. You can verify the cost before I guess, at least they can give you a ballpark.

Nobody likes walking into a downstairs bathroom and finding a floor covered in dry sewage, and I'm…read moreno different. If only a simple snaking would suffice, but nope! This case called for 40 ft of new pipe under my basement floor. Mr. Rooter was great - Phil walked me through the estimate and gave me all the paperwork I needed to get my insurance paperwork started. Admittedly the project had a hiccup, but, Phil worked with me and got to a resolution that I am more than happy with. The tech that did the job is Vinnie; this guy is a machine. Twice he worked well into the night to make sure that I could use all the facilities in the house. He used floor mats, drop cloths, and sheeting to contain the mess, and cleaned up when he was done. By the time he finished the every drain in the house was running like the house had just been built. Ask for these two guys!

As a new homeowner, it was recommended by my sewer inspector that I clean the pipes for routine…read moremaintenance despite my inspection report coming back clean. After closing on the home, I booked Mr. Rooter for hydrojetting and paid over $1400 for the service. After the flushing, the Mr. Rooter employee informed me that my cast iron pipes were in terrible shape and breaking down, with possible holes in the pipes that would cause sewage buildup and backup into my home and yard - a terrifying finding. They recommended a ~$23K project to replace the pipes. I got a second opinion and found out that the camera images shown to me were intended only to scare me and my pipes were perfectly fine. It appeared Mr. Rooter's flushing purposely left behind scale washed off the pipes as "evidence of pipe erosion" (not true), and pointing out what were actually just bellies in the pipe as "standing water where the pipes were corroding into the soil". As a woman and expectant mother, it was clear Mr. Rooter was targeting me and trying to fear-monger me into a massive, unnecessary project. Icing on the cake is that the hydrojetting I paid for was not even done properly (on purpose to leave the so-called evidence for the unnecessary project). When I declined the project and provided the second opinion, they first offered to come back and finish the hydrojetting - but I wouldn't trust them on my pipes. They offered a refund in exchange for no review, but did not follow through.
