Kenrick's is a family business I love to support. I try and stop at least once a week on my way home from work. It is not on the way- but it is so worth the trip! Every time I am in Kenricks I feel like a part of the family. They go above and beyond for their customers daily. The quality of meats, choices of quick meal items, and the grocery selection featuring local companies makes Kenrick's a great place to visit. From the Meat Market my favorites include prosciutto wrapped asparagus, chicken/beef spedini, and the kebobs! The K-Café is another favorite -- They have a to-go window makes it easy to grab lunch or dinner. I often call ahead for pickup, the meatloaf, fried chicken, and deli sandwiches are top choices. Kenrick's also has an outstanding catering department that truly works with each customer's needs. Busy place, we used to go here a lot more when our church was located right down the street. When the church relocated closer to our house, going here was more out of the way. They have a food cafe with its own order window. The deli, lunch meat, and meat area are all under the same number so you will traverse the counter if you need all three. The butcher/slicers behind the case are pretty friendly and helpful. They will answer questions if you have them. Lots of other meat available in other refrigerated cases and the freezer. Cheeses and prepared foods, pizza, ice cream, some grocery items, lots of seasoning and sauces, most things you will need to accompany your meat purchases. When you are ready to check out, the line heads from the cashier counter to the back of the store, even if its long, it moves pretty quickly. Stopped at Kenrick's meats today! This was our first time there. I loved the lady's at the register! We picked up several of their different sausages and some ground pork. Kenricks has catering down to a science. I needed catering for a large event (around 75 people) and it certainly was a solid way to go. They have a huge menu to choose from, and range from cold cuts to more prepared dishes like pasta and other meats for a main entree. I went with the plan that you could create your own platter. I had three meats, three cheeses, buns, and 2 sides. For sides I chose salad and potato salad. Lots of options to choose from which I appreciated! I was serving a good amount of folks that don't eat meat, so I added on an additional side of pasta salad. Food was ready when I went to pick it up, wrapped wonderfully and wheeled out to my car. This review is for the K-Cafe to-go food counter. Today's special was lasagna with garlic cheese bread for $10.99. This was made in house. I opened the container, and was happily surprised. The entree was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ate half of the lasagna, and one of the two pieces of garlic cheese bread(not pictured). They told me it was the same recipe as the to go frozen lasagna in the case. I will definitely grab one if I go past Weber Rd OTW home some day. read more

Food was good, but portions were half the size they used to be. No rye bread with a dinner plate this yr either.

I visited on a weekday late morning. The parking lot was fairly busy, but I was able to find a spot not far from the door. As I entered, I saw a lot of products, but they were organized well. There was a window on the side where you can order sandwiches, complete with a full crew ready to take your order. On the other side there are multiple coolers with everything your heart could desire. Pre-made meats, salads, cheeses, etc. Then there is the meat coolers for all the uncooked selections. I imagine that whatever you wanted, Kenricks will carry it. One thing I was impressed at is the prices. I was expecting sky high prices, and they seemed no higher than the grocery stores, and I think that is saying something in today's economy! It was well worth the trip. read more

Absolute favorite butcher shop/restaurant. They have so many seasoning options (that are all delicious), the meat is always so fresh and fairly priced, it smells so good every time you walk in the building and service is always amazing! I love this little place. I do wish they had more dinning room chairs for people utilizing the restaurant portion but I'll gladly eat in my car too. This is easily my favorite place to stop for a cooked burger or some fresh cuts of steak. I wish they had punch card or rewards programs because I spend so much money here lol read more

I hosted a baby shower this weekend...and Kendrick's catered the event. I actually selected them without having any familiarity, but strictly going by yelp reviews. I live out of area, so taking a chance on a company. I'm not familiar with made me a little nervous. Let me just say I would hire Kendrick's 1 million times over... From the initial customer service from Steve, to the prompt and friendly delivery from Mike... That alone blew me away!! We had a group of about 30 people, and they all commented on how fabulous the catering was. We ordered the brunch buffet... And the amount of food was just incredible and delicious. Everything was so fresh... fruit, vegetables, sandwiches, salads... we had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast sticks, biscuits!!! Everything arrived hot that was supposed to be hot and chilled for the things that should've been chilled. And if that wasn't enough, they pulled up and set up at exactly the time requested. Next time I'm back in town. I will definitely check out their market and their sandwiches. Based on what I tried today, I would not hesitate to recommend them! Wonderful quality deli and butcher on Union/Bayless right off 55 at Bayless with little restaurant where they serve sandwiches and BBQ plates at a reasonable cost. The meats here are excellent. I got seafood stuffed mushrooms, tenderloin filets and sirloins for Fathers day and everyone raved about the quality. Their prices are super reasonable, too! I got a cod sandwich from the cafe while waiting on service from deli- they were super busy so about a five minute wait- and it was phenomenal! I really recommend. read more

I'm here nearly every Sunday for my weekly staples. I've never had anything I haven't honestly loved. My top favorites: Their pre packaged chicken bbq is so good for the week, when you are hangry and don't have time between meetings to cook. My #1 Mardi Gras Brats (sweet and slow heat) Jalapeno cheddar brats (with orzo, broccoli all chopped up is the easiest ten mins or less dish I make) Bacon of any kind but the brown sugar is my favorite on rare occasion. Half pies Deviled egg salad with red hot riplets (I add but the seasoning is right behind the deli station you're welcome). Pete's potato salad with peppers, bacon and onion, so good. Just go and see for yourself, I love these people and this wonderful place. read more

I have now been here twice and I'm very impressed. The selection and quality of the meats is top notch. You can easily spend 20 minutes just browsing the selections. So far I've tried the house made Roasted Turkey and Beef Bologna (made w/ garlic), Jalapeño Cheddar Burgers and Chicken Thighs which appear to be fresh cut. Also tried the Bratwurst Burgers from the freezer. 1/3 pound pre made patties in a 2 pound package. They cooked nicely on the grill. Just the right amount of fat to be nice and juicy. They carry a limited but nice selection of produce and groceries. Freezer and fresh meals as well as an on-site kitchen for fresh sandwiches and meals. A real butcher shop. read more

WOW. We had used a different butcher because the owners were old friends ... and they are very good .. But recently I tried Kendrick because our butcher did not have meatloaf for a retro dinner. The meatloaf was AMAZING ! So when our friends sold the business - I ran to Kendricks for a fresh turkey this year.. OMG !! THE TURKEY WAS THE BEST WE HAVE EVER HAD ON THANKSGIVING! I adore the friendly service you get at Kenrick's! Every time I've asked questions - mundane or unique - the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. For example, I recently had a special nutritional restriction regarding no added sugar. The butcher checked multiple sources to get accurate ingredient info on the procuitto I was inquiring about. I love their homemade sausage selection, some of which feature local beers used for flavoring. And as a special treat, I also love the homemade pastas they carry in their frozen section - delicioso! The quality and varied choices combined with quick, helpful, and friendly customer service - from butcher counter to check out counter - make this a favorite stop. It keeps this omnivore coming back! My review is based off their Catering only. Kenrick's has provided catering for us on 3 occassions. They come early for setup, and are very polite, professional and hardworking. They do an amazing job with setup, prep, serving and clean-up. They provide heavy plates, thick napkins, utensils and condiments. I have eaten their hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chicken breast, pulled chicken/pork/brisket, cole slaw and cucumber-tomato-red onion salad. I love their hamburgers, pulled pork and cucumber-tomato-red onion salad. OMG, that salad rocks. I grew up eating that salad. The bread they use for their sandwich buns is soo soft, hearty and delicious. The burgers are large, juicy, covered in a really good bbq sauce and fit the bun. The hot dogs have at least one charred side, which I like and are plump-n-juicy. I am not a fan of their veggie burgers, cole slaw and chicken. I definately would like to stop in the shop some day and pickup some of their burgers and hotdogs to go. read more

Normally they do well but I bought a 4 pack of sirloin steaks and they are unbelievably unevenly sized. Schnucks does better than this . I expect better from here, what a disgrace. Was it bring your daughter to work day and a little kid cut these? They were pre packaged smushed together so I didnt notice until I was laying them out to get to room temp prior to cooking. Portion sizes were not as advertised. This was my first time ordering online at Kendricks. I was very excited to get the Meat Savers 2 Pack and The Main Entrée pack. When I arrived at the store I was very pleased to see that they did comply with all the COVID regulations. I was very impressed with the store and all of the items that they had to offer which included several deli meats, fresh meats, already pre-cooked meals, pizzas, tons of condiments, salads and much more. I picked up my online order. The butcher was very nice and even offered to carry it out to my car for me but I was more than capable of doing that. Was a little bit disappointed that my meat savers pack came frozen. I would've loved to have been able to separate some of it before it was frozen. We would typically never eat 3 pounds of pork chops in one sitting and would have loved to split that up for to look different meals to cook before I froze it. Same with the bacon. I did find that the meat that I received was not as it was advertised. All of the packages weighed less than advertised even when I weighed them frozen and thawed out. For instance the beef stew was supposed to be 1 pound and only average 12 ounces both weights. The chickens spedini said that there would be four pieces but there were only three . Which made it pretty difficult because I did not realize that until after it was thawed out and I was cooking for four people that night. The ground beef was already separated in three separate 1 pound packages but they only weighed in between 12 and 13 ounces So buying the meat saver package really didn't seem to save much since I did not get the amount of meat I was supposed to get. As for the main entrée pack, had the same issues, 2 pounds of meatloaf there was 4 slices and it did not even weigh 1 1/2 pounds even with the gravy. That pretty much was the same for all of the main entrée packs that were already prepared. The description online said I would receive a half roasted chicken. I did receive that but it was smothered and barbecue sauce which we do not eat so I had to give that away. I don't think I will be ordering any of the bundles anymore. It just did not seem like it was a very good deal considering you didn't get what it advertised. As for the store, I really liked the store. I think I will be back again, I will just pick out each item that I want separately read more

Our family has a meatball recipe that has been Christmas tradition for some five generations. It's a complex, old-fashioned recipe that includes such things as a sack of onions and a box of croutons. Kenrick's made 48 pounds for us last year and it was delicious and true to the original recipe. To the point: this year we ordered the mix again for Christmas. The order was not ready at the appointed time. Kenrick's apologized and assured me they would correct the problem and have it ready in time for the family meal Christmas Eve. THEY WERE TRUE TO THEIR WORD! No butcher shop can be perfect with the volume of business Kenrick's does during the Holiday Season. Great butcher shop in that it offers a variety of everything including Denver and Tri-tips. Prices aren't bad compared to other independent butchers...although I'm not sure how local they source their meat. You can't find better help and service in town too. I've been loyal to the place as has family and friends. The issue I have with the last three visits I've had is cleanliness. I've been there during rush and before rush/peak hours. They have good ownership but the inside and outside glass of the cases is always dirty and presentation isn't what it used to be. For the pre-packed section, maybe vacuum pack everything inside as of cling wrap...looks like it's half and half right now. I get it, they do a lot of business and have traffic but I appreciate a clean place esp when it's involved with food. They got a lot of help,...someone should be tasked with cleaning. Same with the outside side walk...breakout the power washer and spray the place down every week. read more

Holy the smokes the applewood bacon is out of this world. Thick cut applewood smoked bacon can turn any day into a musical. The meats are all fresh. You can even find G&W beef sticks along with Kendricks signature beef stick as well. Prepared meals, seasoned meats, even frozen prepped and seafood. I was originally encouraged by a coworker to try the turkey brats and I have quickly became a believer in all things Kendrick. A must must try. Prices comparable to big club stores. read more
