The layout of this bakery is super-tight for one (NOT comfy!), and the bakery selection is quite small. For some reason, I remember the selection being much bigger in the past. I've been to so many bigger-better bakeries in the past decade, this one was just a huge let-down. In any case, I just tried their Ham & Cheese Crepe, with a Latte w/ Cream. Well, again, so disappointing! The Ham & Cheese Crepe was just SO basic (no fruits, no whipped cream, nothing!). Also, it was poorly made...with the cheese only in the middle section. I thought I misordered! The taste was also BLAH...I kept thinking, this CAN'T be the same bakery I visited years ago, is it??? Also, the presentation (if you can even call it that!) was beyond bad. The crepe and the latte was delivered in cheap paper...not even a logo. OMG...basically a dive in terms of a bakery. I'm kinda amazed at the high ratings here. I mean, really?!? Sadly, I don't think I'll be returning here on my future trips.

No big stores could remove the nuts() So we started searching on Yelp (our go to) for a bakery. So happy we did. We have lived in CO for four years now and never needed a bakery. THIS BAKERY IS !! We walked in. The smell.... DELICIOUS, clean, so many yummy delights to see. My heart was instantly happy. We felt right at home. One of their employees immediately assisted us with friendly service. Saying YES!! We are happy to make a Carrot Cake with NO NUTS!! When we picked his cake up, it was exactly what he wanted. Best part: Blowing out the candle's... slicing a piece of that delicious-ness and EVERYONE in our house enjoying that cake. It was so good we all had two slices (5) and sent leftovers over to our neighbors to enjoy. I also saw some delights that we are headed back for now. No more picking stuff up at the market. We will make the trip over to this bakery.

But we were here for some Vietnamese coffee and dessert after dim sum next door. The Vietnamese coffee was delicious and she can make it hot or iced. We tried 4 different desserts - lychee mousse, passion fruit mousse, basque cheesecake and tiramisu. The basque cheesecake I had was so good! The lychee was a little lacking in flavor, the passion fruit was delicious and so was the tiramisu. Everything was not too sweet and tasted fresh! Plenty of bicyclists visit. If you're going to buffalo bill's grave/museum, boettcher mansion, or anywhere else on lookout mountain, then this is a must-stop. Even if you're not hungry, spend some time here. It'll be worth it. The selection was not as enormous as some other places throughout Denver, but the items they make are absolutely delicious. I had a smoked cheese baked into a split bread, and it was so good. We also got a citron tart, an apple tart, and gorgeous. All satisfying. The coffee... I didn't expect it, but it is top-tier coffee. I ordered the americano, and it was bursting with complex flavors. It wasn't just chocolate or burnt or, god forbid, dirt. It was more than just a diner coffee. A real coffee nerd would appreciate this coffee. I should have asked where the beans were from. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if they got it from one of Denver's top roasters. What a treat. We'll be back for sure.

So refreshing to hear that authentic greeting since I worked in Paris, France. The place is big and airy, similar to a warehouse. Everything is made on-site the day of. I opted for the pomme de Tarte (Apple tarte) and the olive baguette, which is Amazing! They told me that the baguette dough takes a few days to rise and sit. So it takes three days to make it. It tastes chewy and a little hint of sourdough taste, so good! It brought me back to Paris! I'll be back to try coffee and other things on their menu. I also noticed they sell the famous tea du marriage frères. I think if they offered a light lunch menu like Niçoise salad or croque monsieur it would be nice.

Parking was limited, and it is way awkward to get in and out with a car. We got the "fiona" (a mango-kiwi dessert), a "scarlett" (raspberry chocolate dessert), berry-licious croissant tart, and a lemon madeleine. The "fiona" was perfectly balanced with a solid mango and kiwi flavor coming through. It had creamy component, a cake component, and a fruit component with a glaze. Not too sweet, but certainly sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth craving. The "scarlett" was intensely raspberry in the mousse component. The raspberry jam on top brought the sweetness to temper the tartness of the mousse, and the chocolate cake and chocolate cookie components also balanced out the dessert with a nice natural bittersweet from the cocoa component. The fruit croissant tart had nice fruit on it, and the cream component reads like a yogurt. The croissant part itself was very tasty and makes me excited to try their original butter croissant next time. And finally, the Madeleine was very impressive. I am not a fan of frosting-like stuff on Madeleines, but this worked so well because it was not too sweet. Very balanced flavors, yet again, with some of that natural bitterness again that contrasts so excellently with the flavors. If I could only use key words to describe their desserts, it would be: beautiful, balanced, complex, and natural. I won't be able to come here often due to how far away I live from here, but I know that I will be back.
