This use to be my best chinese restaurant in Pacifica, specially for lunch, but they have been getting worse and worse, we order string beans with fish actually 5 pieces of fish and the rest string beans , and the fried rice is just rice with soy sauce, I like the people there but please go back to what you use to be. Always been my favorite Chinese food place, since I was a little girl. Now I live just a few blocks from it and it's still my favorite. GREAT fried rice, love their honey garlic chicken. Kennys is the best Chinese food around! It is a bit pricey though. They have a delicius lunch menu for cheap. If you have not tried the Kennys chicken or beef and broccoli please do. You will not be dissapointed. read more

Just love Kenny's! Food is always fresh and delicious and made with love and care. We had the Family Meal for 3 to go last night, 15.95 per person and you pick 3 entrees in addition to pork fried rice, egg rolls and wonton or hot and spicy soup. We chose sweet and sour pork, broccoli beef and cashew chicken. All dishes were wonderful but I must say the cashew chicken is exceptional! It's a perfect dish for my clean eating endeavors... fresh zucchini, carrots, unsalted cashews and chicken breast meat (not coated) of course they add their lite sauce which probably has msg.. (which I'm sure one can ask to be omitted) but it was so yummy as is and since I only occasionally indulge, it was perfect for a rainy evening dinner at home! One thing though is their egg rolls; I don't understand them... but maybe they're made from a family recipe from the old country? They are huge.. think baby burrito size... deep fried with delightful filling that includes bean sprouts and other veggies. I'm never mad at anything fried! enjoy my friends! Ok one last thing: my absolute favorite dish is the salt and pepper seafood! Best in the area for fried fish... way better than Camelot's in Manor. read more

This place was open and near by, so we went in. Interior was dreadful, the servers were older Chinese ladies, food was plentiful, but hardly tasty. Not sure why people like this place so much, I'd prefer to not be back, like ever. read more

This place is awesome! I am a regular and I am in here several times a week since I work in the area. It is not a fancy place but for cafe fair it is my favorite in the area. This place is my basic stand-by for lunch and has been for several years now. I know what I am getting and I know the quality will be to par. I especially recommend the specials menu and the American food (rib eye and sole), plus some of the Chinese items as well. What's really wonderful here (five stars) is the weekly specials items, the meat and soups! Such as the clam chowder, seafood soup, tri-tip, ribs, and lamb chops. The salt and pepper anything are all good, plus the Kenny's fish or prawns if you want something sweet. Try the fried won tons for some basic old fashioned Chinese food. read more

Love love love this place. The house fried rice and orange chicken is the best I've ever had. I've eaten at the Chinese place in manor and the bov, just doesn't compare. We were staying a local motel and just sort of happened on this restaurant. A little hole in the wall in a very small mall. Amazingly good food. The tofu dish was delicious and fresh, much to the pleasure of my vegetarian friend. The egg rolls were not over-friend, and the chicken dishes were are all very tasty. I have to laugh at a few of the reviewers saying this is authentic Chinese food. Uh, no...it's Americanized Chinese food. But still tasty, as Americanized Chinese food goes. They make a better burger than an eggroll here. Good service. My daughter loves the fried bananas for dessert. read more

It's really funny. I actually go to high school with both of May's sons. Kenny is actually one of my best friends and I'm not even lying. My friend, Jared, goes to kenny's cafe frequently and tells me their omelette is ridiculously good! I hear they also have a sister restuarant not far from Kenny's Cafe. Kenny's is hit or miss. The fried wontons are probably the best around which is why this local spot earns a three star. We ordered broccoli beef, sent it back (it smelled off) the owner was very offended and did not offer to refund it so we never ate it. I never dispute people running a place of business, it's just not worth the drama. I would not recommend pork or beef at Kenny's. I do think Raymonds is much better and they deliver all over town. Raymonds is the same ownership as Tam's which is the higher end Chinese restaurant in town. read more

Good food, fast take out service. Service in the restaurant is a little slow for large parties. Have one person stay and order the food while the other one goes across the street with the kids to play on the school playground for the 15-20 minutes it will take to get the main course. read more

Kenny's is a great family restaurant with personal service and staff. My grandpa loves to go there and chat with his "breakfast" crew and fight the war as he would call it. They are a few retired men who served for this country who enjoy the personal service Lilly and May (the owner) gives not to mention Ping (other owner) will cook to order meeting any food stipulations or food accommodations that you made need~ Big Portions Cheap price would def recommend!!! read more

I'm glad to have found such a great Chinese restaurant close to where I live. I think the food is very tasty and I love their crab cheese puffs which are very crispy. The first time I ate there I ended up being so thirsty after my meal which to me is a clear indication of MSG use and after looking at their menu it does state that you can ask to have no MSG added to your food. The next time I ordered from them I asked for no MSG and I expected the food to not be as good but it was just as delicious as the first time so I thought that maybe they had forgotten to remove the MSG but I wasn't thirsty after my meal so I know that MSG wasn't used. I don't know why they use MSG when their food is just as good without it. I don't think the MSG is enhancing anything because the food is already super tasty. The decor isn't fancy but I am a big fan of their food. The ingredients seem very fresh and high quality. Can't get enough of it! read more

After living in San Diego for 5 years I returned to the Bay Area last year, compared to SD the Chinese food at Kenny's is 7 stars and compared to some Chinese food I ate in China it is exceptional. Since my review last year, I have gone back often. Like every Chinese restaurant they have their strong and weak styles of cooking, but overall it is the best Chinese on the Coast. Our favorites are the pork won ton soup (with house made won tons. FYI fresh won tons will get mushy faster than manufactured won tons with preservatives- so best to eat it soon after you get it home or better yet eat it there), salt and pepper seafood, ginger beef and their fried rice is exceptional -old fashioned and very good. You can pay more and go to Tams, get rude service and have marginal food or go to Kenny's. Out of the thousands of Chinese places in the Bay Area most are rated only 2 stars in the Chronicle (just goes to show Bauer doesn't know anything about Chinese food), Kenny's is rated higher than most and their American dishes are good too. So for price, quantity and quality you still can't beat Kenny's on the Coast. read more
