We went to this place for lunch around 1.30PM PST when visiting Pacifica. Wow! We were simply in love with taste, authentic Chinese food and taste was amazing. Placed below orders and each of them trust me each of them were so good. Vegetarian spring rolls which served with sweet sauce. Had repeated an order after trying. Sautéed Broccoli with hot garlic sauce. We asked to make it mild for kid. It served with steam rice and soup. Vegetarian chow min. It was one whole dish with no side dishes. Good for 2 people. My husband ordered non veg platter with soup and fried rice in the side. Should have capture his face. Was totally satisfied. Hot sauce bottle was kept on table to make it extra hot. Gone several times since my last review and am happy to say I haven't had one bad meal. Everything has been consistently wonderful. Always a treat to get complimentary fried won tons. Love the hot and sour soup. The chow mein and fried rice are so good. The beef and broccoli always yummy. Everything I have ordered over last several months has been delicious. Mom and pop restaurant. Tried it for the first time and got the fried wontons loved them to die for and came with a good sized sweet and sour to dip em in ! Also the beef chow fun and beef and broccoli were so delicious Service was great so friendly and welcoming! It seemed really family friendly and pretty spacious inside. read more

This little Pacifica secret is a life saver!! They were steady during the Pandemic lockdown feeding the community with their excellent food. The owner,May and her husband made sure that customers took home extra free treats this whole year! They are loyal to the community and considers every customer family. Tried again. Bland, mediocre and deeply unsatisfying. The popular honey garlic chicken had no vegetables like in the pictures. It's just deep fried chicken in a sweet sauce -- candied meat. The Chinese chicken salad was so disappointing I tossed most of it -- iceberg lettuce, boiled chicken, sweet sauce and peanuts. (I make a better Chinese chicken salad.) I've had better Chinese food in the Rocky Mountains. I can't imagine how this place survives in the Bay Area. Nostalgia, I think. read more

This place is practically my kitchen when I was too busy to cook but want to have fresh Chinese dishes. The food quality is always good with fresh ingredients. The taste is flavorful and not too salty. They also give free fried wonton almost every time I got takeout (over certain amount I think), which is a nice gesture! This is a blast to the past in the best of ways. The Chinese food was spot-on, and i think they also serve sandwiches. They have a cute little counter where I was able to see that they were stuffing their own potstickers. I got the lunch special and I was out the door with a drink under 12 bucks. Pretty good place in a hidden area of Pacifica. While we were eating we noticed people come in to pick up orders. Seemed like lots of regulars the way they were chatting with staff. Thats a good thing. We ordered from the Chinese menu (they have an American menu as well). We will try the American Menu next time as that food looked pretty good as it came out to patrons. Kenny's Cafe is off the beaten path, but the food is terrific, and the service is excellent. This is a locally owned restaurant that the same family has run for decades. Everything is very fresh, and they care about customers' experiences. I love Kenny's Cafe because it has the feel of Chinese restaurants that were all over California when I was a kid. They have both Chinese and "American" food that are local favorites. Every time I go into Kenny's, which is frequent, it is filled with locals who return repeatedly. Customer service: the lady was nice and we got our food within 8-10 mins. We got lunch special with garlic chicken. Such sweet people, I gotta give a couple stars for them. But the Gina"spicy" Mongolian Chicken was nearly bland and the over flavor and texture was like boiled sliced chicken with a LOT of onion. Onion alone isn't really "spicy" in my definition. Add a little more sauce to it and it would better be defined as onion-chicken soup. They give you a tiny side cup of red pepper sauce, apparently to try fixing it. But when a place advertises and warns about "spicy" I'm expecting to suffer a little from it. But the only suffering happening is wishing I'd just grabbed a burrito at Taco Bell. Still a cute place with very sweet service. But at $10 bucks a serving, if you're a restaurant ya gotta earn some of those stars with the food... read more

Since Covid began, food quality has gone completely downhill. Tough meat chicken and pork. Wor Won Ton soup practically had no meat in the broth and doughy won ton. Sweet and sour pork super dry and tough, minimal added vegetables. Prawn and chicken wing appetizers were dry and lacked flavor. Wasted 50.00 for poor quality food. I love this spot. The family that runs this restaurant are so kind and welcoming. I have never eaten anything I didn't like here. We have even used them for catering holiday meals for a family of 25+. The food is always fantastic and hot/ready when we arrive for pick up. Kenny's Cafe is definitely a hole-in-a-wall restaurant in Pacifica. First, there is ample parking in the shared lot. Second, I don't go there for Chinese food. In my two visits, I've had the prime rib with mash potatoes and corn and the pork chops with mash potatoes and corn. They don't serve prime rib every night, so you need to call to find out which Fridays they serve it. The medium rare beef was tender and juicy. The pork chops were marinated and flavorful. For a Friday night when you don't want to cook and you don't want to venture too far from home, this meal is not bad at all. There's not alot of staff, so the service is meh, but hey it's a hole-in-a-wall type place. Just don't be in a rush to get out. read more
