Kenny's Chocolates used to be Humboldt Chocolates. Same folks - different name - according to the young lady who waited on me the day I visited. I ordered a mixture of chocolates - 16 to a box. My favorite was the vegan peanut cluster. Yummo! The chocolate covered salted caramels were also really good! Everything was tasty - really good! The whole shop smells heavenly! Service was good! #KennysChocolates

Awww, these turned out so cute! I was looking for computer-themed chocolates for a gift basket at work, and nobody had any but the friendly guy at Kenny's Chocolates suggested I buy a mold on Amazon and he would make custom chocolate with it for me. He had my order done a whole day before it was due, and because I needed to be at work before they opened on Friday he let me come pick them up after hours since he was still there cleaning up. He and was super friendly. I ended up with some extra chocolate, so I was able to do a taste test and they taste wonderful!

Came in on a not very busy Wednesday afternoon. The gentleman who helped us was super friendly and helpful. Appreciated that he put on a new pair of gloves when he helped us. Chocolate was really good with a excellent selection of interesting flavors.

Humboldt Chocolate - hidden away in the back, behind the spiral fountain in old town, you will find a great little chocolate shop. Smells of fresh chocolate and spices when you walk in the door. We were greeted with a smile and a friendly conversation as we built a custom assortment to go. We picked a few of several styles of the offers they had the day of our visit, as we wanted to sample more than one of the types of chocolates they offered. Below are our findings, and in order of preference. ~ The Macadamia Buttercrunch Toffee, amazingly delicious, crunchy and great macadamia nut flavor, with a rich toffee that had just the right amount of crunch and melt, this was our favorite and we wish we had gotten more. ~ The Creams, everyone of them and we sampled four different flavors, was true to flavor and as creamy smooth as they could be, with a nice fresh milk chocolate shell that melted nicely and was sweet to the taste. They were all great. ~ The Melt-a-ways, again we sampled three different flavors and all were delicious. They all had a great fresh rich chocolate flavor and taste. With the lemon and raspberry both coming in together at the top of our list for flavor. This is a clean, small shop that is well laid out with a nice selection of quality, small batch, hand made chocolates and candies. We spent about $20 bucks and it was worth every penny. Not really sure what the one guy was complaining about with the "from 2 Christmases ago" comparison and "go to See's" - yes, See's is an awesome west coast chocolatier, however... Humboldt Chocolate is also an awesome west coast chocolatier from behind the Redwood Curtain and well worth the stop and a visit. They will custom build an assortment for you of anything they offer from a single piece on up. A Solid 4.5 Stars ~ rounded up for community support. 00265

Mmmmm. You can smell the chocolate before you even open the door! Made right there behind the glass! The espresso truffle is my favorite. Lots of gifts to send back to LA. I would like to see a little "v" on the chocolates that are vegan to make things easier when ordering a vegan box or have a vegan friend from out of town.

    Pretty chocolate jewels!

Expensive, even for premium chocolate. But the flavors are amazing. I got the hazelnut mushroom, and the hazelnut toffee. Perfect flavors and textures. These chocolates are to be savored! The store is small and nicely organized. However, I find that the lighting does not highlight the confections all that well. If you are like me and eat chocolates with your eyes first, and mouth second, you are going to miss out here.

Chocolate is made right on site, not shipped in. Staff was highly knowledgable about product and very helpful. Nice selection.

Every so often DH and I indulge ourselves and go to Venlo for a few treats - assorted chocolates we hand pick.

The line wasn't too long of a wait, despite it being busy and understaffed. They had a cute location, and I really liked the dark wood throughout. They had a dedicated area for sitting, and some things like board games available for groups to enjoy while sipping their beverage of choice. I got a mocha frappé and enjoyed it. It hit the spot on a sunny Eureka day. To my surprise, I got a freebie, with the barista making more than what would fit in the cup. The excess was poured into an additional cup, and given for free. That was awesome. Speaking of the staff, they were great. Despite being a busy day and not many people working, they pushed through and i saw them handle all types of attitudes and customers with great care. I enjoyed my drink here for sure.

I came early in the morning and only had a donut and small coffee there and the price was reasonable. They have a seating area in front of their counter and a larger seating area adjacent. Lovely wall art that appears to be from local artist. I really want to give it 5 stars - the only downside was - and I have to be honest - there was a homeless man who came into the cafe and started yelling repeatedly at the clerk and other patrons. This is NOT the fault of the owners but when I'm in side of a restaurant or cafe and eating I think it's reasonable to want to feel safe. This was early in the morning and after this aggressive person left there were steadily more and more customers coming in and I felt safer/better This is a great place and I hope anyone who is visiting Eureka to stop by and enjoy this popular place
