I can't recommend this office enough. I had surgery on my thumb last month. A surgery I was awake for! The staff, from check-in to check out, was absolutely amazing. My nurse Josh was the absolute best. I had a little mini anxiety attack in the OR and he handled me very well, as did the rest of the staff. Unfortunately, I don't remember everybody's names but I can tell you right now, Josh was absolutely amazing. He kept me laughing through most of all of it. Dr. Sabbag has a bedside manner that I've never really seen a surgeon have before. He is very kind, very thorough and very funny. I highly recommend Dr. Sabbag. Friendly staff. The doctor is very knowledgeable and the nurse practitioner was excellent.

I had been seeing this doctor for years. He used to be polite and even did a surgery on my wrist. It didn't solve my issue but I felt he'd tried his best. In the last year or so when I visited he was quite rude and had a terrible bedside manner. He had no helpful solutions for my pain and made me feel like my injury was a hopeless case. I've seen much better doctors since who gave me actual solutions for my pain and who were much more polite and caring. I am still blown away by this doctor's level of rudeness and lack of empathy with a patient. I left his practice in tears. He really needs to change his approach to his patients and his empathy with them. I'd hesitated leaving this review for months now, but I think it's important for others to know this. read more

I did a physical exam for injuries, he's extremely hostile, interrogated me for an hour, lessened all my pains, pulled all my medical history and put in exam results which were protected by law and judge's order. read more

Dr Sabbag was a awesome doctor there employees are all nice the women that took my xrays was really nice and they were pretty fast too. Had a 8:30am appt got there and was our in less then 45 mins. Dr. Kenneth Sabbag has a well oiled office, including his surgery scheduler and his nurse practitioner. They are all polite, warm and efficient. Dr.SABBAG, also is delightful and was recommended to me by My primary doctor and everybody else in the community. I am healing well now. Next step will be removing the cast and then physical Therapy, which is on site. read more

Dr. Sabbag might be a good doctor but his administrative team is the worst I have ever experienced. I think they believe that they are above common courtesy. For example, I arrive 10 minutes before my appointment to fill out the necessary forms. Then I wait for over an hour for my appointment. Then I waited another half hour in a room before before he shows up. He recommended a simple out-patient surgery. So I call to scheduled the surgery and I am transferred to an assistant who does the schedule. Over a period of three days I called four times and never got a call back: three calls to the person who handles Dr. Sabbag's schedule and one call to the office manager. I am done with them. I wonder if they are going to charge me for leaving messages? read more

Most Dr's at Congress are pretty good however my 1 and only experience with Sabbag was disappointing. I have complex hand issues, neuropathy, trigger finger, Duperyns Contracture, and carpal tunnel. Dr seemed like he was in a hurry, let out an audible sigh when he saw my hands, all he did was give me a cortisone shot in one hand. Later when I got home I realized he didnt even give his staff directions for a follow up appt or have any treatment plans for the future.......He basically acted like he didnt even want to treat me, he just mailed it in. Waste of my time. I since have found a great hand surgeon that actually cares in a different group in Arcadia. read more

Had an appointment and waited 2 months for it, dose not seem like they are too excited about new patients. I get a call about 2 weeks before my appointment saying he has to change it to the afternoon. So I did and then on the day of they tell me he has an emergency and had to cancel my appointment. Now reading the other yelp reviews it makes more sense the administrative team needs some new staff or retraining. Not everyone can just take days off and and reschedule until your office or doctor feels like seeing them. read more

Dr. Sabbag is simply a great doctor, really knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. One day I came in and the wait time after me was incredibly long. He explained that with some patients who come in with accident injuries it is just impossible to guess how much time they will need to see a Dr. He was the first doctor to give me a shot and explained the entire procedure. He is thorough and I really felt treated as a person. I felt like he was really taking care of me and not my just my ailment. I recommend him to everyone and to avoid the wait time, take an early appointment if you can. read more

Dr. Sabbag is a great doctor!! He is a hand specialist and I visited him for my wrist condition. I have seen multiple doctors and another specialist in the area for my wrist but none had examined me as thoroughly as Dr. Sabbag did. He has a wonderful bedside manner, and is very gentle. He wears a very cute bow tie to show that he respects whoever he sees. When he does not know an answer he tells me that he does not have an answer for me instead of bullying me or trying to rush me out of his door. (Side Note: Dr. Jean Ding, a hand specialist in Arcadia does that to the extremist)! Although my wrist condition persists and there is no quick fix, Dr. Sabbag assures me that it is just a slow and nagging process but it is not enough to hinder me to avoid any activities I enjoy. :) I like him a lot! I will definitely recommend him to anyone who needs a hand specialist. PS: His medical assistants and other admins are just as awesome! read more

Gentle, listens to your concerns, gave me options, very clean and detailed with his work. The office folk were super nice and smart. I love how quick they did the x-rays and everything. He was so sweet and funny I'm hoping to go back soon! HAHA. The wait was not as bad, but if you do get a referral from your doctor to see him, be warned that because they are super busy, you might have to leave a message and they will call you at the end of the day. They are also open only on certain days, so check the days before calling to make an appointment. Overall, amazing! And when you wait in the waiting room.....there are a ton of athletes walking around...so not bad for a wait...... Also...He did his residency at Harvard...so triple points to that! read more

Was recommended to the "Best hand doctor around" and the recommendation could not have been further off. He is consistently an hour or more late because he overbooks appointments, and every appointment I had with him it felt like he was just trying to get out the door. Did basically nothing to help with my hand pain, gave no helpful suggestions, put basically zero effort into figuring out the root cause, his stance was basically "You're young, you should just walk it off." even after 2 years of constant pain. A fair amount of my current misery is caused by the failures of this man. (Although failure would imply that he tried.) read more

If you should find yourself in Dr. Sabbag's medical office - perhaps, think twice. I just had a terribly frustrating experience, not with the doctor, but his assistant, who is the gatekeeper. I had broken my hand and called my Orthopedic doctor (William Stetson), who was out of the office that day. Dr. Stetson's assistant recommended Dr. Sabbag to me, and when I called Dr. Sabbag's office they offered a Doctor's assistant due to the fact he was busy and that I called at the last minute - and I was happy to have that. The person I spoke to on the phone gave me an appointment that very day, and per her request, I gave her my contact info and insurance information, and all was good. Being a new client, when I got to Dr. Sabbag's office the receptionist gave me 10 pages or so to fill out. I explained to her that I'm left-handed and that I may have broken my left hand, and that I'm in a great deal of pain and unable to write. She told me that I have to fill it out anyway if I want to get in to see the doctor's assistant. And so using my right hand, I spent 30 minutes trying to fill out the information on the paperwork she provided, most of which, was illegible. I was about half-way done when she called me up to the window to tell me that they don't cover my insurance, which was surprising given that I gave her my insurance info when we spoke over the phone and there was no mention of an insurance issue. So I spent a half hour driving to the doctor's office, not to mention that I had to pay $5 for parking, and then drive another 30 minutes to get home. Big waste of time and inefficiency with this medical office. If I could give them zero stars, I would. I've already called my regular doctor to let them know Dr. Sabbag is not worth recommending. read more

First, I must say staff is great. I only gave Dr. Sabbag 2 stars for a couple reasons. He practices what I call a "bait and switch" appointments and doesn't seem to care if you are having problems after surgery. Dr. Sabbag does the initial consultation and a quick visit in the recovery room (while you are still groggy from surgery) and that's the LAST TIME YOU WILL SEE HIM. You don't see him at the follow up appointment. I think, at minimum, a patient has a right to know that they will not be seeing Dr. Sabbag when they make an appointment with him. I had a simple carpal tunnel surgery 3 months ago and I'm still having pain. At the first (and only) follow up appointment I saw the surgical nurse. Basically, she said I'm fine, the swelling will go down just give it some time...blaa blaa. So..I gave it some time. After a month and a half, I was actually having more pain. (Let me just add here that anyone who knows me, knows I'm not a complainer and I tend to wait til the last moment to see a doctor). I made appointment and requested that I actually see Dr. Sabbag. He was very nice, but I felt like I was kinda blown off. He gave me a slip for physical therapy and then it was good bye. NO FOLLOW UP APPOINTMENTS TO SEE IF THERE IS IMPROVEMENT if you are having pain, NOTHING! I have seen Dr. Adamson (who is also part of Congress Medical and in the same building as Dr. Sabbag) for shoulder surgery and a few other injuries and he is an excellent, caring doctor and ALWAYS sees his patients ESPECIALLY if they are having problems. My other hand needs surgery, but I will NOT BE GOING BACK! P.S. Please excuse the double reviews. There is no other hand specialist I would see given the option to go to Dr. Sabbag. I give him the highest recommendation possible. Dr. Sabbag is everything you'd want in a doctor. Even before I saw him, I knew of him by reputation as the top hand surgeon in LA. He is highly knowledgeable (U Penn/Harvard/UCLA trained), highly skilled, and has an incredible demeanor/bedside manner. Despite being a rockstar, he is so gentle, warm, and kind. Tip: schedule early or bring a book for the waiting room as there can be a wait later in the day. read more

I found Dr. Sabbag through research and recommendations and was impressed enough with his credentials, experience and initial examination to go forward with a procedure requiring some expensive medicine. However, once that medicine was ordered and delivered to his office, I heard nothing back from them over the course of almost 3 months about scheduling the surgery. This, despite repeated calls from me with promises of a returned phone call. Once I was told that a crashed server had disrupted all their scheduling and patient information. I've lost confidence in this practice and am trying to get the pharmaceutical returned while I find a new orthopedist. The office seems poorly organized. read more

Very disappointed in my experience with Dr. Sabbag. I broke my middle finger a while back (spiral fracture) and didn't realize it was broken for a few weeks. My finger, therefore, began to calcify in a crooked position. By the time I got to him, he charged me $300 for the visit and said there was nothing he could do. He said that it would always be crooked and he could not fix it or perform surgery to repair it, which is complete bullshit because I am now scheduled for surgery with another doctor. HMO's......they have great coverage when the medical bills come in, but shitty options for doctors. I am pretty sure, looking back, that my insurance wasn't "premium" enough for him to "waste his time" with me. My LA CARE HMO would have forced him to cut a deal and reduce his rates on the surgery and I am pretty certain that if I had "top of the line" insurance, he would have scheduled surgery to repair my crooked finger. read more

Dr. Sabbag is one of the best docs I know. I have broken my wrist 3 times and my elbow once and Dr. Sabbag performed surgery three times for me. Once to repair wrist, once to remove metal braces in wrist and once to repair the broken elbow. The surgeries resulted in full recovery with extremely minimal scaring. Dr. Saggag is not only a very competant surgeon but his bedside manner is completely professional and gentle. I highly recommend his services. I often joke that if I needed any other surgery I would take him the fix it book and let him do it...he's that good! read more

Dr Sabbag has been treating me for a worker's compensation condition. He is wonderful. He knows the law so knows what procedures must be gone through for treatments, etc. He and his staff have educated me about my requirements under California worker's compensation laws as well as treating me and seeing me while we wait for approval from worker's compensation insurance company. I liked him so much I recommend him to my sister when my niece broke her hand. And my sister is seeing him for her hand injury as a result of a car accident. This dr might be good for some simple wrist procedure. I had severe deupetrens contracture. I had one hand done by miles Cohen at cedars. It took five hours. My left hand is still perfect. Then I went to sabbag only because I worked at glendaleadventistmedcenter as a therapist. If I went to their doctors it was free. I'm writing this now because my right hand where dr sabbag operated is even worsening in its pain daily!!! After surgery, he looked at my hand and knew immediately that he had screwed it up. The physical therapists knew it was a nightmare. I eventually returned to miles Cohen to see if he could fix it. Alas he could not And he said, he had no idea what he did to disfigure me! Everyone agrees the surgery was a complete failure. I CAN TELL YOU THIS... The goid surgery by dr Cohen took five hours. It's tedious tedious work on the hand. Sabbag was in a Hurry and done in an hour! I'm paying the price ever since. Doctors oath...do no harm!! DO NO HARM! Good luck with this guy!! Buyer beware! read more

Dr. Sabaag is an excellent doctor. He's all that other reviewers have reported: very knowledgeable, kind, and gentle. He's treated me for trigger finger and performed surgery on my left ring finger, which I shattered in a cycling accident. He's a highly skilled clinician. The practice overall is very busy and, because it is an orthopedic practice, you may have to wait longer than you'd like. But that's no reflection on Dr. Sabaag, Dr. Fraipont--whom I've seen for whiplash, or Dr. Adamson who treated me for a broken elbow (another cycling accident). They're all excellent doctors with great bedside manner. I highly recommend all of them--but Dr. Sabaag is special. read more
