I told them I have surgery tomorrow and this was unexpected. I could even show them paperwork of his extractions. They walked in the back office, came back and told me no - they can't give "their" supplies. I thought they'd be understanding of my mommy dilemma since I have surgery tomorrow but they didn't. It was just a syringe. And to think that I debated leaving our Brentwood dentist and becoming a new patient of theirs for their kindness. Guess not.

Like many others, I'm not the biggest fan of those biannual cleanings (ouchy), but Kwon & Jabbour have made the experience as painless as possible. Their facility is clean, modern, and very high-tech. There's a lot of effort to ensure patient comfort and wellbeing. I didn't realize how outdated my previous dentist's tech was until I came here... And also realized how much smoother the teeth cleaning experience could be. Each time I've visited, the staff are professional, kind, and welcoming. Long story short, I will never reschedule with them again. First of all, Dylan at front desk is the most organized, friendliest, most helpful person ever! Every time I walk in, Dylan immediately greets me with a "Hi Julia, I've got you all checked in here you can take a seat". I had not gone to a dentist in over 15 years. I thought my regular brushing and flossing would keep me in good stead. I figured I would go when I had a generous government employee dental plan or any pain or loose teeth, whichever came first. It was neither, actually, that brought me to PH Smiles, but the visit was necessary and an absolute success in dealing with the multiple issues I had. My insurance covered a significant amount, and my out-of-pocket was fair. Perhaps, this review can serve as an update to the current state of the office. The office: It is located on the north side of the Crossroads shopping complex, across the parking lot from the Starbucks and Kohls. The reception area is tidy, the exam rooms have modern equipment and comfortable patient chairs. They have ample exam rooms and do not overbook so patients who have hours-long procedures do not need to be shuffled back and forth. It's a well-maintained and well-utilized space. The staff: There are tiers of front office staff and medical support staff here. The current staff they have working at PH Smiles work efficiently and are kind and respectful to their patients. They all seem happy to be working there. The dentists: I was seen by Dr. Canelo. She is an absolute star. I was not judged for the significant time that had lapsed between dentist visits. Dr. Canelo and her staff simply pointed out the issues that came up in the thorough exam and discussed a plan to address things. Things were going so well at that point, that I moved straight into scheduling. It turned out they had time that afternoon, and I grabbed the opportunity. During the morning and afternoon of my visits, Dr. Canelo communicated the task at hand well, never talking down but making things understandable to a layman. There is a striving for perfection and an eye for detail that I very much appreciate. Everything was accomplished above my expectations. I did not realize how significant the improvement would be to the appearance of my teeth. I did not come in for a cosmetic procedure, but the cleaning, polishing, and mineralization treatment did wonders. The other dental work restored structure to teeth and the result is seemless. PH Smiles is not one of those dentistry practices that fancies itself as a day spa.
